POTS this season...

Time to start thinking about next season?

If Blackburn go down/go bust, whichever comes first, I would quite like to see Steven Nzonzi here. He seems to play as a holding/central midfielder yet pops up with the odd goal here and there as well. He has strength, pace and does not shy away from a tackle. A big ball winner like this would just beef up the middle of the park. -
Fancy a giggle at a bitter QPR fan's expense :D

Their manager who looks like he doesn''t care that you just beat him at chess because he spent the night before shagging your mum. This is brilliant!! -
John Ruddy

No I wouldnt chance Rudd just yet. I think it is unfair to throw him into the deep end. Ideally he needs a season of championship/league one football for me. -
John Ruddy

Controversial point this and although I hate to say it - I agree. I appreciate we were playing against some of the best footballers in the world and any goalkeeper was going to have a tough time but he just doesn''t deal with the simple things very well. He has made some decent stops this year (Liverpool away) but unfortunately with the position he plays every mistake (which there have been a few already) get magnified and at this level often gets punished. I''m not sure if it is a lack of concentration or just a gap in ability but for me Lambert needs to bring an experienced head in to give us a chance of staying up. Sorry John, you did us proud last year but the pressure of the Prem looks to much for you. -
David Fox... Come on down!
Road to Nowhere replied to Howson is now!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agree with all the above, he had a great game. I think for me the most important thing is having someone in the prem who can take a good set piece. This gives us a real goal threat IMO. -
McNamee joins MK Dons in free transfer

only real shame about this is we will lose one of my favourite chants... -
Should be a guaranteed 3 points this now... Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been ruled out for three to four weeks after sustaining a knee injury in training. Cech, 29, will miss Premier League games against West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland and Manchester United. Manager Andre Villas-Boas will have to select from Hilario or Ross Turnbull, given that new signing Thibault Courtois is on loan to Atletico Madrid.

On the cusp of Europe

We''re so close now, if we can just hold on to this spot for another 37 games then we can finally celebrate our glorious return. Quite fancy going back to the san siro next year and getting revenge. Anyone else? -
Robert Green....

..Or... we could just give Ruddy the chance he deserves. I hope he surprises a few people next year and shows how good he is. -
Whitbread to be offered new deal

Well deserved. Like him as a player and if injury free I think he will do well this year. -
A few free agents that I would take....

Spector and Reo-Coker! Both would suit us fine! I would go for these two...
Personally I wouldnt take either - Spector has 1 or 2 good games but on the whole inconsistent and Nigel Mediocre is just poor - plus didnt he have an attitude problem recently that upset the apple cart? Exactly what we dont need when banking on our team spirit to help out. Gabiddon could be a good shout. Would have liked to see Sean St.Ledger come here but Leicester have snapped him up. Good player and doesnt look out of place internationally.
WoW you sould like you know what your talking about, Danny Gabiddon is SHOCKING and Sean St Ledger is one of the most disruptive influences to a changing room ever, so how can you say that about Reo-Coker?
It would be boring if everyone had the same opinions though wouldnt it? Or is that how you like it in your perfect little world? -

I can''t wait for next May when we comfortably finish clear of relegation with NO apparent premiership superstars in our team. All these so called pundits - Quinn/Lawrenson being perfect examples - simply know very little about football so put their money on clubs like us to come back down as we are easy targets. This is going to be so sweet shoving it back down their throats. Unfortunately once they all realise how good we actually are then they will jump on the ''glad to have Norwich in the premier'' and ''they''ve really freshened up the division with their style of play'' bandwagons forgetting their shortsighted, drivel based opinions they come out with now. This kind of crap makes me livid.

To be fair, they are a Championship team and regardless of investment £13m would be difficult to turn down for anybody - particularly for a player who is, for all I can see so far, all talk and no trousers.
