  1. I think we would all love a new manager with the same positive attack minded attitude Lambert and McNally brought to Norwich. Delia and co did not like the in your face attitude of Lambert and McNally which is what we need right now. In my view 2010 to 2012 was more even enjoyable than the Farke years because of the attitude
  2. Personally I don’t get this negativity towards Godfrey. He is way better than anyone we have at present and he is out of the Everton team for 2 reasons- he is not a Dyche type traditional centre half and he is still on the way back from a bad leg break last year
  3. Saw him live at the NEC back in the 80s and he was brilliant but also so drunk he staggered into Kirsty McColl and knocked her off the stage. Perhaps Shane Duffy could take over this role instead of staggering around in his own penalty area creating havoc.
  4. This starts to feel very like 2000-2001 when Delia’s favourite Bryan Hamilton was in charge - had no clue, brought in all sorts of mediocre aging players and spouted total rubbish in his post match reviews. He was only relieved of his duties when League 1 started to loom on the horizon.
  5. Love the way he left the Cardiff defender on his ar** for the winning goal
  6. It is also the case this went on before the Heysel disaster in 85. At the European Cup Final in Rome in 84 Liverpool fans were attacked and stabbed before and after their victory over Roma. It seems to be a very Italian problem not a Scouse one
  7. How about Paul Clement. Out of work has been highly rated and worked under Ancelloti a few times. Unfortunately also worked with Frank Lampard at Everton. But there would be no compensation since he is out of work.
  8. You can also buy. a £10 pass through the Canaries tv part of the club website
  9. Just watched it. Thought I was going mad. Shows how attention they give us
  10. I think he is nearly as good as Grant Holt. The wonder goal was almost as good as Holts at Chelsea in 2011 or his header at Liverpool a few weeks later!!!!!
  11. Surely the board will have noticed that by about 70 minutes the ground was half empty and the home section of the South stand was only about a third full By my estimate at kick off only about 21 or 22000 were present
  12. I think we are now Dean Smith’s clueless army. I don’t see that he has added anything since he arrived. Webber had no plan when he sacked Farke and for that alone he should be fired. This afternoon’s second half was one of the worst I have endured in 50 years of watching Norwich. I think despite the cost we need to replace Smith but I am not sure who with.
  13. Would be interesting to see where Kevin Keelan would be on the chart
  14. I recall in our first ever season (72 -73) in Div 1 we did it for a bit then it became unnecessary. Agreed it is tin pot
  15. This was just not good enough and if Webber doesn’t realise it he is a fool. The crowd went silent for the last 15 minutes rather than either supporting or booing. Farke got off lightly. We have lost our identity and mojo in 3 months and become an embarrassment. Yes we have a small budget but with the players we have we should be able to create chances and show some spark in the final third but today there was nothing. With regret it is time for a change
  16. He still gave us our best Premiership season since 1993 and we all loved him at the time. If only we had let him buy Benteke we may not be a yo yo club. He is still a **** though.
  17. It has to be Aarons or Culverhouse. In my view I think Aaron’s edges it. Helveg never really excelled for us, the best thing I remember him doing is giving Shearer a right hook off the ball in retaliation for elbowing a young Jason Shackell
  18. So John Bond to Ken Brown to Dave Stringer to Mike Walker was a failure was it
  19. I remember the game I thought it was Easter Saturday. QPR were very good but we had beaten Liverpool and Leeds away that season so it was not a giant killing as portrayed by some. My recollection is they had a lot of fans but nothing like the number of away fans for games like Ipswich, Man Utd or Liverpool that year. I thought they had only about 4000 at the most. I also remember being chased down Newmarket Road by some of their disgruntled fans who actually turned out to be Chelsea fans tagging along with the QPR supporters
  20. I don't suppose the integrity will matter when after 2 games Liverpool have won the league a few big club's players get Covid-19 and the season is suspended. Liverpool are awarded the title and we get relegated on the basis of points per game. I bet this happens.
  21. This is getting to the point where the self funding model leaves Farke without the means to carry out his job. If we keep a 27000 capacity we keep a demand and people will renew their season tickets for fear of exclusion if the ground is 32000 or more then the incentive to renew is removed. I am starting to feel we as ST holders are being taken for mugs - excluded from away tickets, taken for granted at home and having to watch a good young manager create a team on no budget whatsoever. It's like trying to plait sawdust what we are asking him to do. Watching us is becoming predictable and painful but we still do it but for how much longer can we put up with this ?
  22. Not sure how much longer Farke should get. Yes he made some brave decisions today with Aaron''s and Godfrey. But he, Webber and the board need to stop taking the supporters for granted we pay high prices and turn up in large numbers. We are sleepwalking into L1 if we are not careful. I have followed City since the early 70s and this is the worst situation since the mid 90s in my opinion. If results don''t pick up we are in trouble. Today was good in that 3 young defenders really acquitted themselves well but we should be doing better than that with the players we have.
  23. Beautiful Day -U2 from 2002 playoff season
