nutty nigel 7,902 Posted October 1, 2014 Welcome PUPs to week nine of our Rays Funds season. This week we have Jellytotin charge and making the final selections. Jellytot is having another steady seasonthis time with 5/8 (63%) correct selections. She has been very unlucky in herprevious weeks in the hot seat where she got really close even though I’d asked her to pick very early in theseason before we have any real form. Helen’s very proud of these threads andalways comes to our presentations and meets. She thought the world of Arrdeeand would dearly love to get her name on his signature. So to help her let’sgive her our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of thisweekend listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web site. Killiecanary is in charge of the Norwich match bet this weekend. Killielooks all set for a Fab40 place for next season and I’m really pleased that hegets this chance to play a bigger part before that happens. This match bet hasbeen a real money spinner so far this season where we’ve turned £42 into £90for the CSF. I think Fletch is the right man to keep this great run going buthe will need your help providing the ammunition for him to make it happen. Good luck Killiecanary,we have £6 to spend so you can choose up to six selections either from the PUPssuggestions or of your own for our match against Rotherham on Saturday. Now on the 13thof November we have been invited to put a team in for the annual CSF quiz.Details here : - http://communitysportsfoundation.org.uk/fundraising/Sporting_Light_Appeal/On_the_Buzzer_City! I’ve alreadyentered one team but I think we may have enough to enter two. If you’d like totake part let me know and we’ll have a count up at the end of the week. That’s it fornow so I’ll hand this week’s thread over to Jellytot and Killiecanary. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing ourbest to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim ofraising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... Takeit away Helen and Fletch ... the thread is yours.......[:)]...... Trent Canary 0 Posted October 1, 2014 Salzburg should take care of Wiener Neustadt, despite some recent mixed results.Norwich result, fancy a 4-0 battering.
AJ 1,359 Posted October 1, 2014 League 2 and Bury Town to win for me please. After Tuesday I believe Redmond to score first and a Norwich win would be a good bet.
ca 1 Posted October 1, 2014 Derby to beat Millwall is my pick this week and for the Norwich bet I''m going for Norwich to win 2-0 with Jerome scoring the first goal.Good luck everyone.
Redders Right Foot 22 Posted October 2, 2014 I''m breaking my own rule here by going to one of the most unpredictable leagues on the continent for a bet that I wouldn''t normally place if it wasn''t for Tuesdays matches. I can''t see this team doing anything but win this weekend to make up for a disappointing result this week, not to mention one of the apposing strikers is not available.Norwich v Rotherham - Norwich home winfor the Match bet, a few things that pop up into my head first is 3-1 and Tettey to score any time
Mr Angry 2,023 Posted October 2, 2014 My choice this week is from the Swiss Super League.Zurich play Vaduz at home, Zurich have win the last 6 matches against this side, including a 4-1 away win in July. I''m going for a home win at 2/5.Good luck to all PUPs and most of all to Jellytot.
Gingerpele 0 Posted October 2, 2014 Sorry about my absence last week, Nutty got my pick but it was way to late to be any help. Fantastic to see more money won on the match bet though! Really adding some money to the pot this season so far. This week, Argentina.League leaders River Plate will be looking to bounce back from two draws with a home victory against Boca Juniors. The away side are 12th in the table but have lost as many as they''ve won. Also River Plate are 4/0/0 at home. Odds aren''t too bad as well at 7/10.River Plate vs Boca Juniors- Home win.And for the Norwich bet I reckon over 3.5 second half goals at 9/1 is a decent option.Good luck :)
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted October 2, 2014 Well it''s been back to the dog walking for me this week and the woods are a rapidly changing place - initially the Squirrels gathering their Nuts sent me in the direction of Ian Holloway and his Millwall team away to derby and another tough day ahead but as this has already been picked, I had to look further and saw the leaves turning from the green of Summer to the brown of autumn.. Brown was prominent so this week I''m going for a Southend (manager Phill Brown) to overcome MorecombeSouthend V Morecombe Home winAs for the city bet I would have Norwich to score in both halfs at 27/
Guest Posted October 2, 2014 Germany please this week....Bayer Leverkusen home win.Good luck Jellytot and all this weeks PUPs.[Y]

Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted October 2, 2014
River Plate vs Boca Juniors- Home win.
Thanks for the heads-up – pretty much the most entertaining match in world football! Will have to make sure I can find a stream, it makes the Old Firm derby look like a charity match... [:)]As for my pick, this week I am backing PSV Eindhoven to utterly marmalise mid-table Excelsior at home.Match bet: Norwich by three or more goals. Smash ''em. SwindonCanary 457 Posted October 2, 2014 Up to Scotland for me, Celtic Football Club to beat Hamilton Academical Football Club.Norwich bet 3-1 win with Cameron Jerome to score anytime
stewfil 12 Posted October 2, 2014 Up to Scotland for Inverness CT HOME WIN v Ross CountyFor the Norwich Bet:Norwich to score 2 second half goalsGood luck to Jellytot and Killiecanary
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted October 2, 2014 First of all let me make it clear that my losing run has now lasted 5 weeks. (It''s a good job I do the stats and put the bets on otherwise I''d be slung out!) For my pick I''m going to Spain. The Catalans love going to Madrid and coming away with the spoils. This week Barcelona go to Rayo Vallecano where they have won 4-0, 5-0 and 7-0 on their latest three visits. Surely it has to be more of the same. Rayo Vallecano v Barcelona Away win For our game against Rotherham I''ll stick with honorary PUP Cameron Jerome and my suggestion is that he scores the first goal. blahblahblah 2 Posted October 2, 2014 Swansea vs Newcastle - Home win please. For the Norwich bet, a 2-1 win I think - Norwich have scored 9 and conceded 5 in their last 5 home games, Rotherham have scored 4 and conceded 7.Best of luck Jellytot and all PUPs. splutcho 196 Posted October 2, 2014 Forgot the Norwich bet. I''ll say 4-0 to us. 20-1. I''m hoping the injustice of Tuesday will rally the team and we''ll put on a real performance. Give them a lesson.
splutcho 196 Posted October 2, 2014 I say that, I''ve just seen Rotherham to be winning 1-0 at half time, us to win 3-1 at full time at 85/1.Make it 4-1 for 175/
Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted October 2, 2014 Tasty odds, nice call Splutch. Not my typical poker odds, cold- headed value analysis this week...been spiked by PSG, Steaua and a riot on the streets of Bologna (nearly joined in), so in a fit of teenage pique I''m going to.......Norwich home winMy logic behind this is that I am quite sure we are going to batter them dippy....Match bet: Norwich more than 3.5 goals, Rotherham not to scoreParma
Parma
killiecanary 0 Posted October 2, 2014 Evening allThanks for the tips everyone. Very much along my own lines of thinking - after Tuesday I am convinced someone is soon going to get an absolute spanking at Carrow Road, and why not Saturday!I will try to post my final selections tomorrow night if that''s ok Nutty? I will be at work till after 7 though so won''t be until around 9 I guess. For the full PUPs bet, my pick is from 2 Bundesliga, where I expect Ingolstadt (top of the table and unbeaten at home) to beat Eintracht Braunschweig (1 point from 4 away games so far this season)Good luck Jellytot
jb 0 Posted October 2, 2014 Portugal for me, and benfica to win at home vs arouca. And norwich to win both halves please. Good luck all!
