Disgusting performance. Lambert has his work cut out with this shower of shit. We will be relegated this season.

70/30 relegation imo...

Really needed to win this, instead one-way traffic the wrong way against a Norwich side who thankfully have a poor forward line.Dread to imagine what will happen in November,so difficult to see anything other than a stint in the bottom three .Lambert had better have some tricks up his sleeve, his goodwill is eroding rapidly

I''m very disappointed with Lambert.

Harry Redknapp anyone?

Lets just say these were the nice ones. More swearing than the leeds lot on half of them. Oh Lambo, where is that green grass?!

I''ll admit to peeking at the villatalk website, and it did make me laugh

those saying we were the worst side in the league, all of last week, now say ''nothing is guaranteed against a team like Norwich, always thought they would survive this season'' - paraphrasing, of course, but you get the idea. we''re the worst team in the league UNTIL a team fails to get 3 points from us.

In my opinion Villa are by far the worst team in this league and it will either take massive investment in January or a miracle for them to survive. Stayed up by default last season (Wolves and Blackburn sealing their fate with baffling managerial decisions) and look destined to drop this time.

The whole Lambert leaving thing is still weird. He turned up and told the two senior fullbacks Alan Hutton and Stephen Warnock to find new clubs (with Hutton going nowhere and raking the money in). Richard Dunne has been injured. Their best player in Darren Bent was stripped of the club captaincy and is frequently dropped. James Collins was sold to West Ham (who are 9th). N''Zogbia and Ireland are in and out of the team. From all that you would assume he had a war chest to spend, El Ahmadi, Vlaar and Benteke were the only signings of note with Lowton, Bennett and Westwood coming from the lower leagues.I''m not surprised he''s getting booed after all that - a threadbare squad and pissed off senior pros.

If they carry on in this vein, then come next May the 4th when we play them at Carrow Road, Lambert won''t be their manager!
He was my hero, I''ll make no bones about it, but that all ended with his latest actions against us.[:(]

Lots of Villa fans on Twitter being very complimentary about us. Saying we are the loudest and best humoured away fans they have had there for a long time, and they liked our respect of their 19th minute applause.

They really are starting to turn on him on their forums! (although the same could be said on here) After the next 4/5 games they could easily be bottom. Lambert out!!

They''ve certainly got tough games next with Sunderland away, Man Utd at home, Man City away and Arsenal at home before Reading. They could realistically be bottom by then I guess!?

As long as we can pick up as many points as possible and hopefully distance ourselves from that bottom 3 then I''ll be much happier, but I fear (like most) we''ll be in and around there all season. Nail-biting times lie ahead!

how ironic that 2000 Villa fans sang "one Paul Lambert" at Carrow Road at the last match of last season, yet today when they tried to muster a rendition only about 50 of them joined in ?!?.......This will end even worse than Mike Walker at Everton....and I can''t wait.

having been there yesterday and sampled the "atmosphere" at Villa Park, its only served to dispell another myth surrounding the reasons as to why Lambert would leave to go there?.....that being the fan base

A pathetically quiet set of fans played out in front off 33000. Villa park and Aston Villa stinks of a dead football club. The fact that the biggest club in England''s 2nd city only got 6000 more than we do (and thats only because our stadium wont allow more) shows that they are hardly buying into the new regime.

add to the fact that we have a better team than them and a more than comparable transfer budget makes it all the more mystifying as to why he left for them?

Instead of coming away from there yesterday angry at Lambert ,I actually pity him being in charge of that rotting corpse of a club, that he has a worse chance of succeeding with than he had here.

a brave manager creates history at a club such as Brian Clough at Forest, he could have done that here.....he has no chance there.

Why the concern with Villa? Lambert, Holt, McNally and Bowkett have each between instrumental in saving this club. Our bigger concern should be failing to convert our performances into wins.

Lowton looked like their best player - perhaps a cheeky bid in January on the basis of "you''ll get Premier League football next season" would be worth considering.

"makes it all the more mystifying as to why he left for them?"

most likely they were the only ones interested at that point - a point I think that had been reached by far too many ''shoves'' from ''persons unknown'' at CR

does look rather like an elephants graveyard - and will need a massive clear out of the old guard before it can start to move forward again, something Lambert didn''t really do with us, a few ''dropped by the wayside'' but it was a slow continuous process where Villa looks to need far more drastic action

point is though, will the owners recognise that is being done or simply judge him on league position alone ?

ps he must have had rather mixed emotions hearing On the Ball City
