1. Well, I think it''s nice that we count amongst our Norfolk-born number converted ManU fans....................but whether or not they''ll ever be able to live that down is a moot point.   OTBC
 2. Leon Barnett is a much better player than most on here give him credit for.   Good luck to the lad.   OTBC
 3.

http://www.yourgrandadsfootball.co.uk/pre-war-the-posh.htm   ''In the days before floodlighting (introduced in the1950’s) matches started earlier as the days grew shorter and in mid-winter a 2.15 kick-off was usual for league matches, with a 1.30 or 1.45 start for Cup replays. So prior to floodlights football was confined to Saturdays, except early autumn or late spring. Cup replays were midweek as were International matches.''   I would imagine that it was much the same for all clubs prior to the arrival of floodlights.   OTBC
There are far more football matches played on Saturday afternoons on pitches without floodlights than there are on those that have them. Surely you didn''t need to google this[*-)]
Good Lord. I thought you''d gone off on holiday with Tilly.   OTBC
 4.
But some people do revel in the status afforded by an armband, a high-vis tabbard, a clipboard or the facility to delete posts from internet forums. It makes them feel important. Power corrupts, especially  with the "senior jumped-up nobody" types. But I do think Sebastian would make a good captain.
I hear that you''ve always favoured a clipboard.......   OTBC
 5.
Well, what''s so clever about it? It was short & to the point. You obviously read it, so why not reply?
I saw it after being alerted by Lappy on this thread.   It had dropped further than I checked before posting this thread - presumably partly because the thread title did not immediately connect with most people, hence my comment.   In any event the matter would probably have just meandered  on without notice if Lappy hadd''t been on thre prowl looking for brownie points and stripes amonst his crew.   Still. One love.   .....and OTBC

 8.
There''s a thread with the same link furthur down the page entitled RVW..... Dear, oh dear, oh dear. [:''(]
You mean drifting near the bottom of the page with no input from you and sporting a headline that''s too clever by half.............   Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. [:''(]   OTBC
 9.
I think i''d believe "Dodgy rumours.com" over talkshite. But what about your spurs? Weren''t they interested in him as well?
OK/ maybe/if you say so - now. wouldn''t you prefer him to Hooper?   OTBCBC
 10. I agree.   I''ve been far from impressed by Holt''s attitude recently, and if it''s infectious then...........   OTBC
 11. According to Talksport. Sporting Lisbon hard up.   http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/130311/norwich-lining-%C2%A310m-swoop-sporting-lisbon-star-193426   Well, I''d much rather have him than Hooper. What about you?   OTBC
 12.

CG   It''s hard to imagine a driven and successful man like McNally being satisfied with marking time.   To keep him the board will have to give him more challenging goals and objectives.   If and when our place in the Prem next year becomes certain, I reckon that the first order of business for the board should be a SWOT exercise followed immediately by the development of a new 5/7 year plan.   OTBC
Bly We are still well ahead of our existing 5 year or 7 year plan, whatever it was, so a period of consolidation will be part of the process. McNally will not be bothered about the style of football unless it is such as to impinge on the business success of the club, that''s not likely to happen if we stay on the Prem.
But CG, a period of consolidation surely means marking time - and I just don''t think that marking time is up McNally''s street quite frankly.   We need to give him a more ambitious challenge otherwise he''ll be off sharpish, I fear. Particularly if we mark time with rather dismal, stagnant - and dare I say boring, football whilst the crowd get increasingly restless.   In the scheme of things, David McNally is of considerably more importance to us than Chris Hughton.   OTBC       OTBC
 13.

FFS Howson is not a holding midfielder!! Hughton''s tactics don''t suit him granted but he''s clearly prem class. I really can''t see the Howson bashing, But then I didn''t agree with the morison bashing either.
Howson and Morison are at most Championship class; perhaps even biggish fish in that little pond. But that''s clearly their limit.   Just clear facts; not bashing.   OTBC No, NOT clear facts. YOUR opinion.   Actually it''s quite amazing how many of my opinions turn out to be facts when viewed in retrospect. [:)]   Now please stop shouting at me, old chap.   OTBC

14.
I still think Ruddy will come straight back in once fully fit - Bunn has done a superb job and gotten better the more he has played, but Ruddy just seemed to have a bit more of an aura about him, both in terms of pulling out the odd world class save and controlling his box. But certainly getting Bunn in has proved to be a very important decision, as his recent performances and Ruddy''s injury show.
I more or less agree with you. But Ruddy will certainly have to be on his toes.   OTBC
 15.

To keep him the board will have to give him more challenging goals and objectives.
McNally is a board member.
Yes, and the board employs him as the Chief Executive with a job desciption and pay plan.   OTBC
