mbncfc 1 Posted March 14, 2007 In the flesh, and off the top of my head...Eadie at home to Stockport - hit it from 20 yards with the outside of his left foot. It was coming straight at me, then swerved 90o before tucking inside the post. You had to be behind it to appreciate it...Iwan''s second at Portman Road a few seasons back - ala Bergkamp... In Dubious Battle 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Well last nights is in my top ten but the best has got to be the goss goal against munich. Still the only english team to ever beat them in germany!
Hissing Sid 156 Posted March 14, 2007 Anyone remember Robert Rosario lashing one in from 35 yards (hard to believe I know!) against Southampton some years ago? Aside from all those mentioned, how about any goal to beat Ip***ch!
djc 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Jerry Goss away at Anfield. The last ever goal scored in front of the legendary Kop......and i was there.Actually, he scored some crackers all season that year.
Cantiaci Canary 560 Posted March 14, 2007 What about Fleck''s mid-air scissor kick from 25 yards a good few years ago? Was that against Millwall? Crook curled in a few classics too!
inspector 0 Posted March 14, 2007 you could just say any Goss goal. he made a habit of scoring spectacular goals but the Bayern 1 does linger in the memory
Canary Boy 0 Posted March 14, 2007 I have seen many, but one or two that stand out are Phillips against Crystal Palace, Bowen against Sheff Wed and Goss verses Leeds...all in the same year...1994 I think.

Evil Monkey 52 Posted March 14, 2007 The best I can remember seeing at Carrow Road has to be Safri''s goal against Toon, pure class...

ricardo 7,414 Posted March 14, 2007 Huckerby has scored some great goals but the best I ever saw at Carrow Road was Justin Fashanu''s against Liverpool.
GinjaCanary 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Gotta be worth seeing some of those goals again.............Fashanu - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt3q8_sxd-oGoss (Leeds) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7yuKZlTtjQGoss (Munich) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-FebBxbGXYSafri - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVv82N6Oi5A
mbncfc 1 Posted March 14, 2007

I believe o = degrees Kathy.
I realise that Pete. But thats a right angle.
Eadie was facing me. I was sitting in the River End. He hit the ball towards me... yet the ball ended up in the goal in front of the Barclay! Seriously... Genius!... [;)]Oh alright, maybe not that much swerve. My mum told me a million times not to exaggerate.
StainesCanary 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Wow, thanks GinjaCanary for the links.. I was born 1979 so thats the first time ive seen the Fashanu shot, amazing! OTBC
Canary Wundaboy 1,360 Posted March 14, 2007 Just watched the youtube vids....Fashanu....jesus. O.oGoss''s against Leeds was just awesome though.
Saint Canary 0 Posted March 14, 2007 To be honest I can''t pick one. Fashanu''s was great, as was Goss'' vs Munich. I suppose for what it meant I would go for Goss.Just as a side note the best finish I have seen has got to be Ashon against Man City. It never even occured to me he would shoot let alone score when Drury lofted the ball into the penalty box.
Canaries Canary 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Mark Robins flicking the ball with the outside of his boot over the advancing Chelsea ''keeper. Great stuff!
The poster formerly known as ? 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Was it Louie Donowa I saw pop one past Peter Shilton from the better part of 40 yards? Probably the best goal I ever saw, but the greatest IMO was Bruces header in the Milk Cup semi final, not the best by any means but nothing before or since has meant so much to me with the possible exception of Iueans at Cardiff.. (Brucie won a flesh coloured Fiat Strada for that goal, my how times have changed in football)!!
Stevie Wonder 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Several spring to mind; The 2 Goss goals previously mentioned.Fashanu against Liverpool.Needergaard''s 30yd rocket against Coventry.Matt Svenson against Wigan (wonderful 20 yd curler into the Top Corner)Chris Llewellyn against Sheff Utd - the one with 15 one touch passes.Tim Sherwood against Leeds in 90/91. A great team goal that won ITV''s goal of the week.Matt Svenson against Burnley - another great team goal.Impossible to pick a favourite.
Smudger 0 Posted March 14, 2007
Gotta be worth seeing some of those goals again.............Fashanu - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt3q8_sxd-oGoss (Leeds) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7yuKZlTtjQGoss (Munich) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-FebBxbGXYSafri - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVv82N6Oi5A
Thanks for the links Ginja...I think that Gossy''s goal against Leeds was one of the most sublime goals scored at any football match ever... It really annoys me that you rarely see the full clip of an intricate passing move that saw us starting under pressure in our own penalty area to Gossy breaking the back of the net about 15 seconds later.... pure class.... was just like watching Brazil!!!Another fravourite of mine that nobody else will mention I''m sure was Peter Mendham beating Big Neville Southall in his prime all ends up with a 40 yard screamer in the Screen Sport Super Cup.
