Tonight's the night - Hull v Coventry

Recommended Posts

Draw would be best IMHO.

However i think after the cup semi Hull will have the edge.

Wonder how the Cov players are recovering after the cup semi final.

Suspect they will be quite wound up. It's a first goal game

Doesn't matter what the result is tonight, we will still need something against Swansea to make sure - because I can't see us beating Birmingham if we have to.

We shouldn't be in playoffs if we can't beat the likes of Birmingham.

No points needed sixth place guaranteed.  Hull too inconsistent to win next three.  Cov will win this we were lucky they got in cup semi, otherwise would have been real contender for play offs.

Surely we want hull to win so that they have something still to play for when they face the binners on Saturday?

Good job we stuffed them then

As we have a better goal diff over hull than coventry, theres an argument for them winning

The only way Hull or Coventry make top 6 is if we bottle it. If City can’t get over the line from this position they’d be no excuses.

The good news is that Wagner has been here before - indeed been successful via the play offs!

Yes - he won't 'bottle'  it!

I agree. Our best chance of winning the play-offs is if Ipswich are in them.

Defeat for Hull would mean they are pretty much out of it and would be wet lettuces against Ipswich.

Shame it's not on TV, suppose it wasn't one of the original picks for a TV game.

Coventry win, for me.

Gives Hull a reason to go at the Binners on Saturday, and Coventry then have them Tuesday- I'd like them to still imagine it might be possible by then, however slight.

Strangely I don't see any way that we don't beat Swansea on Saturday which is where my theory might be a bit dodgy.

Fawa schedule only goes up until 6pm at the moment, sure it will turn up shortly!

They do give the best service! No complaints from me.

Probably worth reflecting the difference between being in the playoffs this season is 6 points off Hull and 4 points off Coventry.

Hull's GD is hopeless though and +8 in our favour. If they lose tonight it would be even worse. A draw keeps them in it but only just.

But it would then mean Coventry have something to play for when they play Ipswich next midweek...

Its a must win if there ever was one for both sides. Should be full blooded encounter.

Pros and cons both ways for us if it matters at all. Seems a win-win for us!

Whoever loses or draws need to take out their full revenge on Ipswich.

No Simms or Wright in starting X1 and O’Hare not even on the bench. Others missing too from the semi, pile on Hull on now.
