****Official Lappinitup Match Thread - Preston v Norwich****

And breathe! If we're going to be critical of dropping a two-goal lead to Sheffield Wednesday, then you have to say the lads deserve full credit for gutting this one out today against a very tough Preston side on their home turf.

May I just say that I love Marcelino Núñez.

How great to have a player who can score a goal like did against ipswich and put his foot in like he did today. Brilliant performance.

He's playing so well at the moment, isn't he.

Really stepping up when we need him to.

Very much deserved, do we want 5th or 6th place?

Not sure it matters that much, but 5th would be a psychological boost.

A very tough game with a spark of Brazilian flare. Biggest win of the season quite possibly

REALLY need Leicester to beat WBA now. Give us a chance to take 5th and knock the binners off the top.

Did it feel like Rowe coming on really turned the game in our favour to anyone else?

A bit, but I thought that we were well in control of the second half even before he came on, and the game opened up as they threw more and more players forward.

But it was great to see how energetic Rowe was - like he'd never been away.

Might be controversial, but I hope Wagner resists the temptation to start him in the games to come. I think he's the perfect impact sub.

This is the salient point, prior to this run would have bit your handoff for 7 points from these three. Weds was disappointing but in context it’s been a brilliant week.

And also, if you would choose one of the three games to drop points, it would have been Wednesday. Stuffed the binners, basically ended Preston's chances. Lovely old job.

Sara is brilliant. For me, he is the one we must keep whatever happens this year.

Also want to echo the people who singled out Nunez. He deserved MOTM. We need to keep him as well. His reading of the game is so good. Several times today he was the guy breaking up the Preston attacks. Fantastic performance.

When does POTS close? Think he's going to shade it over Kenny for me.

No No No...you're doing this all wrong.

It was a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's show' and we threw the whole season away away against the Owls; plus Wagner shouldn't be anywhere near this club today/tomorrow morning/by the end of the week/next season/ever*

*delete as applicable dependant upon level of irrational incandescent rage and wetness of pants...

He is a classy player indeed, goals and assists alone gives him POTS for me.

What a smash and grab win, game changed when Rowe came on

Game changed when Preston put on a third striker and gave us total control of the midfield after that. We had a man over in midfield after the substitution and Preston failed to get the ball through to their three strikers.

It was a massive advantage to us that they needed to win more than we needed to and we blatantly used that in the strategy.
