Regardless of political persuasion I can’t stand it when politicians go to the football and try their very best to act like real human beings.

Snakes, the lot of them.

Perhaps that’s because they are real human beings.

Norwich City is just hopelessly socialist. Delia, Wynnie, Balls, Gibson, Clarke and now Starmer have all been inside the ground.

When the country runs out of money and everyone is woke and workless and Putin is actually invited in to take over, Norwich City will be utterly complicit in all of it.

Yeah, NCFC are one of the root causes of the collapse of Great Britain. Nothing to do with Brexit, 14 years of inept Tory rule etc. etc. It's because we had Ed Balls as Chairman for a time and invited Starmer once to a Saturday match. God give me fecking strength.

Yup. They should be able to just go out and do something for the hell of it some times without people passing judgement. Should have been the same for Liz Truss as well.

That’s the Liz Truss who met the Queen, who promptly died and then went on to totally fcuk up the economy-all in the space of 40 days ( with a pause for the royal mourning and funeral). It’s quite hard not to pass judgement on that!

For the record I do not support any political party, I dislike them all in equal measure but in the interests of balance I was amused to see Mr Hunt is going to flip flop and steal a Labour policy regarding the taxation of non doms, anybody would think there is an election looming...........

Balls also led to Webber and that didn't go down too well with the natives, did it?

I think you'll find that hadn't happened at the point she was seen at a game, but even then, still not necessary.

Okay, then. F*k it. Just be abusive to all of them. Either way, don't condemn treating one like that but justifying it for the other. And don't moan when the only people who do go into politics are people who don't give a crap who have hides like rhinos.

No - we all really hated the two promotions to the Premier League. (well - Ipswich fans like you did).

Pity Mid-Norfolk MP George Freeman wasn't sitting beside him given PMQ's a couple of weeks ago. They could have discussed how to pay the mortgage at half-time.

Anyone who actually wants to be a professional politician should be banned from entering politics!

Starmer was 53 when he first entered Parliament, so could hardly be described as a professional politician. Would have taken a big pay cut as well.

Nonsense - Norwich City won't merely be complicit, they will be the primary cause!

Point is, he wanted to be a politician. Better to force someone against their will to run the country (laugh emoji as not serious but element of truth). That’s about as likely as the FA awarding retrospective yellow cards to players for diving/conking the ref

He/she has never supported Norwich - that's very obvious.

Why don't we have investment from Gazprom or Putin?!

I understand your point and disillusionment with politicians but still feel that someone who enters politics in late middle age having reached the top of his chosen field brings more to politics than someone (present in all parties) who have gone straight from University to a SPAD role and then MP - i.e. never done anything professionally outside politics.

Sorry I still have my cynical switch turned on. Know where you’re coming from. I just see all these prime ministers and senior politicians with nice directorships etc after leaving their role, no doubt due to the favours they did while in power. I just find the whole think corrupt and distasteful.

It is also a system of government designed before modern technology, to divide the country into regions as you couldn’t expect everyone to go to one place to vote back then.

ok, soap box is put away, back to football talk! OTBC!

I understand the cynicism but I think that to view all politicians as the same is part of the problem - there are many dodgy politicians but to tar them all with the same brush is unfair to those that are not and lets those that are corrupt off the hook. E.G my ex MP (who I did not vote for) Simon Wright did not move on to a well-paid directorship when he was voted out but instead runs a local charity, Nelson's Journey, which helps young people from Norfolk having to deal with bereavement. Compare this to Brandon Lewis, MP for Gt Yarmouth. https://members.parliament.uk/member/4009/registeredinterests

Gordon Brown and Teresa May have behaved very differently as ex-PMs to Tony Blair, David Cameron and Boris Johnson. IMO saying they are "all the same" just lets the bad ones "off the hook."

OTBC 👍

Sounds like we have one of the extremists here that Mr ‘scared of his own shadow’ and half of the right wing extremist MPs in his own party was talking about last week.
