It's cruel to put him out there when he's so out of his depth. I'm very much in favour of giving game time to young players, but they have to be ready otherwise it can destroy their confidence. This is helping no one.

Capt. Pants 4,777 Posted January 6 Looked well out of his depth, at the moment, and has to be carefully nurtured. A loan to L2 might do him good and we might see us move for that RB on loan now to allow it to happen.
paddycanary 571 Posted January 6 Only a young lad, he'll learn from it.
GodlyOtsemobor 2,784 Posted January 6 Very young and very very raw, looks to have some great promise going forward but would certainly benefit from a L1/L2 or even Scotland loan.

Indy 3,426 Posted January 6 (edited) Really can’t agree, he’s made one mistake, McLean & Hanley made huge mistakes leading to the Southampton goal! Give the lad a break, by the way cracking finish, by the ex Binner! That’s footy he will learn by playing! pete 349 Posted January 6 Maybe Warner is so sick of Wagner its a one man effort to get him sacked, seemingly everyone else is happy with him. It is only the paying public who can see her is toxic for this club. Board not interested in sacking this idiot.
Mark .Y. 368 Posted January 6 Yes, get off the lad's back. He's a very promising youngster who is learning the ropes, today he was played in a completely changed team who didn't have any semblance of understanding or balance. That's tough on even a seasoned pro, he will come good in time - he has already had a couple of very decent games for us.

I don't disagree with that, but there have been calls on this forum for the likes of Fisher and Warner to be given chances in the first team but they haven't exactly grabbed them with both hands. There were even people saying Reyes should've played today, after playing youth football in the States until this summer and then a handful of games at Braintree. The problem is that we had a golden generation with Aarons, Lewis and Cantwell through the youth system, plus the likes of Maddison and Godfrey signed at the ages 19 and 18 respectively after playing in League One/Two, and now a lot of fans are expecting this to be the norm.
Deptford Yellow 284 Posted January 6 One mistake there - he’s looked pretty good otherwise … Puts some good crosses in to the opposition box
Sheva 146 Posted January 6 The boys not ready. His crossing was weak and passes often negative . If anyone tells him he did well that’s not doing him any favours. A loan out might work best for him and the club.

Deptford Yellow 284 Posted January 6 Maybe Seems to me there’s a whole lot wrong with the club right now that isn’t Keller Fisher …
astro 422 Posted January 6 I thought he did well, considering Hernandez gave him very little help, often leaving him 2 on 1.

I'd loan him out to League Two, there's quite a few around the area where he grew up, Gillingham, Crawley, AFC Wimbledon, one of those would be ideal, or Colchester perhaps. At one point I noticed Onel was marking space rather than covering runners.
Creedence Clearwater Couto 1,469 Posted January 7 I think he’s looked good when I’ve seen him. Not a full back though. Well not under any other manger than Wagner anyway.
Rolf Harris 33 Posted January 7 He blocked a shot going in, so swings and roundabouts. I'd be more concerned with the rest of the senior players offering nothing but deadwood.
damn that Ralph Coates! 66 Posted January 7 was Wagner just resting Stacey, who wasn't even on the bench? (or does he prefer Fisher?!)
