Sainz needed to pass to Sara on that attack. Wasted opportunity.

Yep Sara was in a great position and it would’ve been a straightforward pass forwards

Well, I think that was a decent half, sensible to not come flying out of the traps despite the moaning they'd have just picked us apart.

Should be 1 up if not for dreadful refereeing and barring them hitting the bar we've had the best chances.

It comes to something when I'm the voice of reason on here 🤣🤣

Real mixed bag of a half there. We look a threat when we do attack and have generally defended quite well but we are dropping off too deep in spells and standing off them.

Ref is an a**e who will find a way to screw us over

Given we are playing one of the best teams in the divison.. Dare I say not a bad half?

Yes, but we’ve been 2nd best and it still just feels like a matter of time.

Hopefully we see Barnes and Sargent introduced before we’re chasing the game.

We’ve really missed Hanley.

Not enjoying us playing like we’re the away team, though.

Got better has the half went on as we managed to break a few times, our biggest issue has been lack of composure when getting near their box.

28% possession is poor. Not the Norwich way.  But we did grow into the half.

and we are the home team

We were never going to come out all guns blazing.Southampton are a good side and Martin is doing a good job down there. We have defended well and Stacey has been given a lot of space down the right.Stacey was the one offside when we scored. Its been a fairly good watch and aside from Hwang, who just doesnt seem to have the pace to press for any length of time, we have worked hard against a good team.

I think Sara needs a rest. He's done a few good things but he's not looking anywhere near as good as he was a few games ago. I hope he doesn't play at all in the cup game.

Barnes isn't on the bench.

I was about to say it looks like we should be trying to lob their keeper, he’s often way up their half when they try and do it to us!

Getting outnumbered in midfield now. He will do anything except play three in midfield.

Doing well considering but..

We aren’t now. They are on top because we can’t keep the ball and are getting bullied in the middle of the pitch

Not a bad idea, do anything to get them to start from their own penalty area.

Are we trying to clog 'em out of this game?

About time we started doing a bit of that, frankly. Don't have to chase them all over the park, just be tight and energetic when they come forward.

Look how deep we are playing now. We cannot withstand this for the whole half

Missed the first-half, admittedly…..but this second-half is a f’g disgrace.

Anybody would think we’re playing Manchester City!
