We desperately need new criminal laws to cover abuse on social media.

How about those convicted get a punch on the nose from a boxer so they know what pain feels like.

I’d say it isn’t, this is designed for a certain subject, Facebook and co are designed for talking about yourself and what you are having for dinner and what time you are at the gym

Good to see some ex Norwich players doing their bit 😅

How incredible for the lad this has gone viral, really pleased for him! Things like this give everyone a little faith in life

Let's hope he gets a rousing chorus of "There's only one Nathan West" when he takes to the pitch at Carrow Road. He deserves it!

Even 1 or 2 Ipswich  fans have donated to it seems...this is brilliant stuff...football coming together and winning...the cancer charity wins...and Westy wins...heart warming.

Seems it’s destined for £50k, great stuff from the wider football community  - it’s mostly £5s and £10s here and there from folk who just want to support a fellow supporter who’s a decent guy doing his thing for charity.  Great to see.

The amount of Binners that  have deleted their tweets after a pile on from their own is good to see.

Shame they posted them first.

Why can't people just think first?

Still good outcome for Westy and the charity. Big respect to him.

Top Man!

Quality effort, that lad. He just missed a 1:45, so he's clearly not cut corners in his prep. Well done!

Run Kent - Tonbridge Half Marathon, 10k & 5k - 1st October 2023 (runthrough.co.uk)

EDIT: For those wondering about "gun time" and "chip time", the gun time is a runner's time to finish the course from when the starting pistol is fired to when they cross the line. Many races will have chips on the race number or be fastened around the shoe laces which are tripped when the runner crosses the start line and again at the finish for the time they are actually on the course.

Otherwise anyone starting way back is counted as having started the race when the gun went, and they're not on the course yet.

Have just come here via the EDP article. 1:46 is a brilliant bit of running for a debut half and sounds like not the flattest of courses either. Also pretty warm out there today.

Hope it gets even more sponsorship and fantastic all round from Westy.

Sounds like he’s running Bungay half next year so will definitely re-enter in 2024
