Farke's next job...

Recommended Posts

Feels like most people assume that he'll head back to Germany, but without any particular reason to assume this.

Do we have to get ourselves emotionally ready for the possibility that Farke could take a Championship job next season, could do a good job, and that by extension we might have to contemplate facing Farke next season?

Every team in the Championship wants a manager with a track record of getting out of that league, it could actually be where his decent financial offers are going to come from?

The longer this crap goes on, the less chance he has of anyone in this country taking him on. He's definitely heading back to the German lower leagues after this, or possibly back to a larger teams youth set up

If he leaves us he'd get a Bundesliga job quite comfortably.

Huddersfield flop David Wagner is currently negotiating Champions League football with Young Boys in Switzerland.  Strangely, Young Boys play at the Wankdorf Stadium. 😮

Farke's next job is to rally the troops get them focussed on the Brentford match and try and get them believing in themselves enough to put in a really good performance.  Do that and they will give themselves a chance of getting points. If I was him I would impress on them not to read social media or talk to much to journalists. A siege mentality is needed now imo, focus only on the football and what it takes to get this season up and running a bit more.

We'll see, I'd be amazed though, in fact I'd question said Bundesliga clubs ambitions. His stock is rock bottom right now and only plummeting further

Germany . Does he ever see his wife and children?! Strange that they live in another country.

Has it been confirmed that he has a wife and kids then? I never knew.

Does he have a wife and kids? That's news to me.

EDIT: So he does, a quick Google reveals a reference to them in an article shortly after lockdown;

"“Then there are the normal private demands – my family and children are at home, so we have to look after them and be a bit like a teacher for them at times."

Presumably he locked down in Norfolk, so it looks like they are here with him.

"family and children" doesn't mean he has a wife and kids though.

He could have an ex-wife, who has custody of the kids, and his family is his mum, dad, brothers etc.

If he does go (I think he should but don't think Webber will do the rite thing), I can see a smaller bundeslida club/ (Paderborn) or malmo sort taking a punt......

The Swiss league is rated 16th best in world football, to put that into perspective The Championship is 11th.
