Farke just wont accept us finishing 17th

Recommended Posts

You wonder that, do you? You wonder how 20th would go down with Farke? I'll narrow it down by making it multiple choice;

a) He'd be bouncing off the walls and would celebrate with a session at the Rooftop Gardens

b) He'd host a celebration party involving Bolivian marching powder being snorted out of hooker's belly-buttons

c) He'd be absolutely devastated like the rest of us

That was written on 22nd July? Not sure what point you are making CC?

In July , DF has aspiration to finish as high a possible.

Fast forward to the penultimate game of the season , and a win keeps us up . At this point DF's aspiration to finish 17th is acceptable?

Somewhere along that time line his ambition changes.

Plus potentially losing his job, being labelled a failure, the mounting stress and having to relocate home too.

Not exactly a walk in the path.

Pointless thread just to start a thread

You know what Fred. This is probably the first time I have agreed with you on a non food related matter.

That pretty much sums it up.

Have you thought of a career in journalism? (obviously the sensationalist type, not in depth reporting) If not, you should.

BREAKING: German Manager claims he WON'T want to finish in this position.. You'll never guess what he said! 😳

It's not that difficult to understand, the aspiration is to finish as high as possible. Nothing has changed that.

Would you take 17th now lakey if offered?

It can't be offered so isn't a real choice.  Fact is that there are 96 points to play for, so it is still possible to have a good season, meaning that 17th would be a good enough conclusion, but as we saw under Lambert and Hughton, get a good run of results together and mid-table is still possible. It's a simple idea - you play to get as many points as you can and see where it gets you.

I would accept 17th! (And would have before the season started) 17th is A LOT different than 18th, 19th and 20th!

But as long as we play well and achieve a Top 26 this season, all is well 😂🤷‍♂️

Yup. It's like a turd in the hand is worth a shoe in the mush.

Yeah a walk in the path of the person who walked to the park, of course! 🙂
