A Load of Squit 5,223 Posted June 9, 2023 The sh!t show continues. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65860564 Former Conservative minister Nadine Dorries has announced she is standing down as an MP. The former culture secretary and close ally of Boris Johnson said she was standing down "with immediate effect" and it was "time for another to take the reins". She actually stopped representing her constituents about 2 months ago when she became a media star on GBeebies and in the Daily Heil.

It was then pointed out by those that give the peerages out, you are not allowed to trade something for a peerage. Rotten to the core. keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) Nads was too old for Boris. And I can't stand the woman and wouldn't pish on her if she was on fire but he really is a cnut of the first order not to reward her obvious misplaced loyalty. Naked Attraction next for her. And she is a pirck teaser. First she said she wouldn't but now she will. Edited June 9, 2023 by keelansgrandad

Karma.

benchwarmer 625 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) It's already being suggested that Dorries is standing down so that Boris can stand in Mid Beds, in theory a much safer seat than Uxbridge and South Ruislip. However, Mid Beds constituency chair has said they would favour a "local candidate". Must be the fastest conspiracy theory on record. Johnson resigns Uxbridge, avoids sanctions from Parliament and losing seat due to small majority. Johnson is selected for Dorries old seat as it's got a 24K majority. Johnson continues to undermine Truss. Truss is ousted by the same group who ousted May. Johnson returns as leader & PM. Looks like they found the piece of paper with 'Plan A' written on it and thought "with a minor amendment, **** it, let's try this". 😀
sonyc 5,541 Posted June 9, 2023 When I read that "the blob has won" I immediately thought she had got that totally wrong because he has had to resign. So he's lost. 😅 Funny how the mind works. It's all so Shakespearean. But I agree, thank god he's gone.

keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted June 10, 2023 His ex Press Secretary has said he is "Trumpian". A spoilt, egotistical, lying, corrupt individual who cannot take criticism or defeat. That is not the kind of spirit you need to run the country or to accept the will of others. Thank goodness he has done this to finally prove to the world that he is nothing more than a big baby.
