nutty nigel 7,902 Posted December 28, 2016 Welcome PUPs to week twenty two of our tenth Rays Funds season. Firstly thank you all for being such a brilliant team throughout 2016, your generosity to our cause and help and support to me. During 2016 we raised and incredible £1801 for our wonderful Downes Syndrome boys and girls. That’s a magnificent effort and I’m proud that we achieved that whilst having a bit of fun on a football message board. So on behalf of myself, the CSF and those wonderful DS guys best wishes for a very happy and successful 2017 to all of you. In charge of the final selections this week we have a couple of Rays Funds legends who have been with us from the very start. Picking the fnal six results we have our great friend Leedscanary. Kev epitomizes everything that Rays Funds stands for. Even though he’s miles away in Leeds he has always been part of everything we do. His support to Ray and then me has been brilliant and every PUP I know holds him in the highest regard. But it’s not just all those things he does. If you look at Ray’s signature Leedscanary has also cracked these final selections on three previous occasions. With you PUPs being on top form right now all we need is that little bit of luck that was missing the last couple of weeks and Kev will get us back to winning ways. Thanks to Yellowfuture’s Christmas bonus we have a free bet to use this weekend so if possible and there’s enough choice we need selections from Bill Hill of games played on Sat, Sun & Mon.. As I said it’s a dream team this week with another of our originals Hissing Sid making the picks for our game at Brentford on New Years Eve. Ian’s another PUP who has always supported Ray and I and is a great asset to our team. This season Ian has chaired our super six league. I’d love to be able to publish the standings on here from time to time but can’t find a way to transfer from that web site. All these little things we do as a community keep us strong so ultimately reflect in the great amount of money you guys raise for the CSF. Ian, you have a tenner to spend on the suggestions from the PUPs and your own. You can split that in any way you choose. Here''s a picture of Kev and Ian with Mandie and Graham on a PUPs inspired pitch invasion : - So now I’ll hand the thread over to Leedscanary and Hissing Sid. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls.. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Kev and Ian ... the thread is yours.......[:)].... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,5, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,4, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy, Gregt, GMF,2, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake District Canary,2, Bor Bor Bor, Yellowfuture, Chellecity, Diesel Doris, Lessingham Canary, Molly Windley, Parma Ham’s gone mouldy, Feedthewolf, AJ, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £1772 for the Community Sports Foundation. Leedscanary 389 Posted December 28, 2016 Cheers Eddie for the overly generous intro! It''s a honour to pick the final 6 again and even better to be joined by my good buddy Ian. Let''s hope we can both nail it this week and end the year with a bang.
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted December 28, 2016 I hope everyone has had a good Christmas and I wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year. For my pick this week I''m off to the Premier League - Chelsea vs Stoke - Home WinFor the match bet a correct score of -Brentford 2 - 0 NorwichGood luck everyone, the very best of luck Leedscanary and Hissing Sid [:)][Y]

TIL 1010 5,246 Posted December 28, 2016 A very good evening to you Nutty and wishing very good luck to the gravy swilling Northerner and Hissing Sid not forgetting of course all you other lovely PUPs out there.Championship for me and a HOME WIN for WOLVES v QPR.For the Norwich bet both teams to score. PurpleCanary 6,386 Posted December 28, 2016 I am having to pick early, before William Hill have (or don''t have) odds on my choice, although Bet365 already has the game listed, at 1/6.The Saudi Arabia Pro League.Al Ahli to win at home against Al Fateh.Al Ahli, second, have a 5-1-1 and 17/5 home record. They played last night in the cup, but it didn''t go to extra time, so they should be recovered by Saturday, and they are in good league form.Al Fateh, bottom, have a 0-3-4 and 6/13 away record, and have lost their last three matches.---For the NCFC bet I (again!) suggest Bassong to score last, at 33/1.Good luck to all, and a special end-of-year/New Year thank-you to nutty for keeping this going and to all who have helped to raise such a fabulous sum for the Downs Syndrome girls and boys. Hissing Sid 160 Posted December 28, 2016 Greetings all, and thanks Nutty for yet another opportunity to bank some funds. I do try to be positive in my offerings for the match bet, but its getting difficult just at the moment. (Not that it''ll stop me of course!). Friday evening for the unveiling of choices.Right, to business. Its a pleasure to be alongside my good mate Kev, so for your perusal its a trip to League 1...Peterborough v Coventry - Home Win.Best of luck mate, and to all you PUPs.And a Happy New Year to you all. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted December 28, 2016 My PiC Purple has posted my pick, thought I''d have an original to myself......😂...couldn''t be in better Company though...👍👌👏💪🎉🎁🍾Al-Ahli Jeddah vs Al Fateh FC - Home winFor our Norwich bet, let''s assume a retrenchment to the coaching refuge of a defensive 8-block shut out on both sides...nil-nil draw......😶😶The very best of luck and Christmas good cheer to Leeds, Hissing and all PUPs near and far....Parma 😂👍👌👏❤️🎉😘🎁🌲🍾💪💰💁Sent from my iPhone

Mr Apples 1,407 Posted December 29, 2016 Hi all, I''ll join Parma in a trip to Saudi Arabia (I have to confess I don''t like picking domestic fixtures) and go for Al Hilal vs. Al Taawon (home win). For the City bet I think AN knows how close judgement day is and will go for a death or glory formation (here''s hoping) so I''ll go for City to win, over 4.5 goals and Pritch to score anytime.Good luck everyone and a Happy New Year (for when it arrives).Apples
AJ 1,359 Posted December 29, 2016 Hi all,Firstly, thanks to Nutty for another year of running the Pups - the main reason I still come back to this message board is to take part for such a good cause. Without it there''d be far less joy to be had, especially during runs like our clubs current one!Secondly, Happy New Year to you all. May 2016 be a productive and prosperous one for all of you - and may it also be successful for the Pups once again!First for Kev, I had originally picked out Bury vs Sheffield away win but always find post-new years results can be a bit dodgy. For that reason, I have opted for Chelsea to demolish Stoke with a home win. Odds aren''t great, but I have a feeling Chelsea would quite like to create some new records and certainly seem up for it in recent games. For the Norwich bet hissingsid I''ve had a look at Oliveira to score and there''s some decent action to be had. Brentford to win and Oliveira to score anytime is currently @ 12. Or Oliveira to score first and Norwich to win is @10. A double result reverse Norwich/Brentford (HT/FT) or the other way around pays out @29 at the moment too. I know these might be daft picks, but you just don''t know with Norwich at the moment.Good luck everyone, especially Kev and Sid!
Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted December 29, 2016 I''ll go for the Conference, and Lincoln v Guiseley - home win.Lincoln lie second with a game in hand and a home record of 8-3-2 (F28 A10). Guiseley are third from bottom with an away record of 0-3-10 (F7 A23). Odds around 9/20 seem quite generous. For the Norwich match, I can see a stay of execution coming up for Alex Neil. We beat them 5-0 a few weeks ago, so a similar team should see us get a result. Doubt it''ll be plain sailing again, though, so I''ll go Norwich to win and both teams to score at 4/1.Good luck, everyone!
SwindonCanary 457 Posted December 29, 2016 Peterborough Home win against bad owners Coventry Norwich bet -I''m not even bothering to go to this one. 2-0 To continue our losing run :-(

nutty nigel 7,902 Posted December 29, 2016 Monday game for me. Short odds but it''s a difficult weekend (sorry Kev!).Manchester City v Burnley Home win.For Ian will stay positive and Bill Hill have enhanced odds of 4/1 for Nelson Oliveira to score and Norwich win.
Hammond1612 95 Posted December 29, 2016 This week I''ll go for man city to beat burnley, for the match bet the most positive I can be is both teams to score. Good luck Kev and Ian. Kev don''t forget to wear your lucky hat!!
Cosmic Twin 192 Posted December 29, 2016 I''m also going for a home win for Man City v. Burnley. Good Luck, Leedscanary! As for the Norwich bet ~ a return to Howson to score any time! Good Luck, Hissing Sid!A very Happy New Year to all PUPs! 🎉🥂🍾🍻
Lessingham Canary 108 Posted December 29, 2016 For 2nd week running I''m sticking with Sheffield United, and a home win div 1 against Northampton on Saturday. For the City bet we will win and Nelson to score anytime.Happy new year to all pups, hope 2017 is the best it can be, stay healthy. Diane 500 Posted December 29, 2016 Two of my favourite pups, hope you both win Kev & IanI ll go for Mon game, Liverpool away win to Sunderland for my pickFor Norwich think we''ll lose 2-1 ( sorry hate doing that)Hope you''ve all had a great Xmas and wish you all a happy new year.Anthony pick is Chelsea to beat Stoke on Sat. For Norwich he thinks 1-
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted December 29, 2016 Good evening Pups, and may I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2017.For our friend Leeds I''m going for a value long shot with Southampton struggling at the moment and WBA being so hard to beat I''ll take WBA to nick an away win at a very generous 4/1 (ladbrokes) For the Norwich game, I''m still behind the manager, but i''m not sure how many of the players are - which is much more of a worry. having beaten them 5-0 a few weeks ago I can''t see them reversing this so I''ll go with Norwich to win with both teams to score.Good luck pickers.
