Yanic Wildschut

Recommended Posts

Wigan have

rejected two bids for Dutch striker Yanic

Wildschut, according to Sky sources.

The bids, understood to be in the region of £4m, have

come from fellow Sky Bet Championship sides Norwich City and Derby

County.

Wildschut moved to Wigan for £1m in last year’s January

window after a successful loan spell from Middlesbrough.

His goals scored record

Are you suggesting those are bad stats for a winger then?

I think it is all to do with letters on the back of the shirt which players we try and sign. And the Dutch seem to have as many letters in their names as anybody and speak better English than most people from Norfolk.

Vennegoor of Hesselink still available?

I''ve never forgotten Wildschut since he played right in front of me (Jarrolds) on the left wing for a Wigan at the start of this season. Russell Martin simply could not cope at right back and had a torrid evening. He is a very impressive player.

Yank Windsheet, someone''s got a bit confused, it''s not a Dutch player, just instructions from a sailing dinghy.

Hopefully he''s not playing........Lincoln.

We played Robbie Brady didnt we? and he''s supposedly close to leaving. I''d like to see Wildschut play well against Man u, proving he can up his level, and then come to us.

If our interest is true then if he doesn''t play it''s a good indicator that a deal is very close. That''s why I hope he isn''t playing.

Deals and running close are something NCFC fans fear. Only happy if we ever get one over the finishing line !

If this is close, and it''s a Brady replacement one hopes we''re close on a LB replacement as surely that''s more pressing with likes of Murphy''s who can play on left?

Will not play against Man utd

he has had a hamstring injury since 14th of jan

i hope it is only minor or even as we all know just a excuse not to play him ??

signing a play who is injured is always a risk !

Unlikely to play as he has a hamstring injury.

I must admit, buying injured players is a bit of a risk, medical or no medical.

If that''s true it makes my heart sink

Quality player and Wigan fans think very highly of him.

Strong, pacey and direct.

Will be one of the first names on the team sheet eventually

We signed Howson who was out with a long-term injury, he didn''t work out too badly. I''m not usually one for getting guys who are injured, particularly with a run of weekend-midweek games coming up, but he''s a decent player and almost fit so ought to be a decent buy.
