nutty nigel 7,534 Posted November 25, 2015 Welcome to week seventeen of our Rays Funds season. This week I’m introducing two PUP legends to make our final selections. For the final six games I’m really pleased to welcome top PUP Hissing Sid who has been posting selections and supporting both Ray and then me on these threads since the very start. For those of you who follow Norwich home and away I’m sure you know Hissing Sid because he’s always there come rain or shine right across the country and beyond. If Norwich are playing Ian will be there. Just as every week I always find a selection from Ian. Come rain or shine, wherever he may be he will make sure we have his selection to help the PUP in the hot seat. So this week we have the chance to show our appreciation by giving Hissing Sid our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web sites. He’s been so sooo unlucky on previous attempts and top of my PUP wish list is to see Hissing Sid proudly displayed on Ray’s signature. Our second legend this weekend in charge of the Norwich match bet is Leedscanary. Kev’s also been selecting since the very start and has been an absolute superstar with his support for Ray, then me and all our PUPs. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Kev and despite the fact he lives so far away he’s often the first place I turn for advice and support. Kev’s one of our great club’s season ticket holders who travels long distances for home games. And what ever the result I look forward to his friendly face in the Nelson after the game. After a bad day at Carra it’s a comfort to realise we still have such a great community of fans whatever the result of the football match. Kev is a three times winner of the final six selections and now with our help we can get Leedscanary proudly displayed among the Norwich match winners. You have a tenner to spend Kev however you please from the PUPs selections and your own. Here’s a picture of the day Hissing Sid and Leedscanary did a pitch invasion on behalf of Rays Funds. That was in March this year and the cheque was for £881. Since then we’ve raised a further £779. Let’s see how much more we can add over the next four months. We are hoping to do a similar presentation at the Newcastle game on Apr 2nd. If you’re around Legend Iwan please could you confirm if you’re able to make the Norwich match picks next weekend, 5/12. Now I’ll hand the thread over to Hissing Sid and Leedscanary. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Ian and Kev ... the thread is yours....... Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted November 25, 2015 Table-topping Coventry (7-2-0 at home) are a very generous-looking 8/11 to win at home to bottom-half Doncaster (2-1-6 away, and only five goals scored away from home all season) in League One. Can''t quite believe how long those odds are!For the Norwich game, do you know what? With our new-found defensive resilience, and Arsenal''s preoccupation with their Champions League showdown three days later, I could see this being a goalless draw - and 14/1 is very long odds for a goalless draw in a game that isn''t a completely foregone conclusion.Best of luck to Sid and Kev, everything crossed for you guys. Hissing Sid 154 Posted November 25, 2015 Greetings one and allThanks Nutty for that lovely intro. What wasn''t mentioned was that I am having an absolute shocker so far this season, so the help of this fantastic team of PUPs is very much needed. Going to be a busy couple of evenings as every pick will be scrutinised, so keep them coming. I''ll have the Big Six up on Friday evening. For Kev, I fancy a goal from Big Dave Mbokani. Best of luck mate. Off we go then fellow PUPs. Let the games begin.

AJ 1,219 Posted November 26, 2015 Hi all, a shock defeat set me back last week so I''m going for guile over profit this week with a simple Northampton vs Yeovil home win.For the Norwich match bet - AN bigging up Redmond in the press can only mean one thing - Redmond to score any time.Good luck everyone! I picked it then noticed you had so was going to change as I usually would to try give another option. But I''m going to join you because I have been following Jacob Murphy (18app 6 goals) closely since he joined Coventry on loan and would love it if he helped us find a winner. Coventry v Doncaster Home win For our game I believe we will win at least one game against the ''big boys'' this season. It could be on Sunday and if so a Norwich win is 9/2. But if that''s a bridge too far and you believe we will get something from the game we are 7/5 to win or draw. I think I''ll take the safer option and go with Win/Draw. Mr Angry 1,561 Posted November 26, 2015 I''m going for a match in the Scottish Cup, Stirling to beat Cumbernauld at home. Stirling are one division above Cumbernauld (unless the Lowland League is a division below the Highland League, in which case it''s a 2 division gap-perhaps Lessingham Canary can confirm) and they are both in mid-table so Stirling should win. The odds are 4/9.For the match bet, my default 2-1 home win should do the job-although it hasn''t yet this season!Best of luck to Hissing Sid, Leeds Canary and all other PUPs. Mr Apples 1,320 Posted November 26, 2015 Portugal for me this week and Sporting v Belenenses (Sporting home win). For the City bet I''ll go for Mulumbu to score, anytime.Re: Mr Angry''s question, the Lowland League is the soft Southern version of the Highland League (so the league below Stirling). The geographical location of the bottom team in Scotland dictates whether the relegation/promotion play-off goes to the Highland/Lowland league winners. All the best everyone!Apples

Lessingham Canary 99 Posted November 26, 2015 Mr Angry, the "pyramid" in Scotland is quite new, and Cumbernauld Colts are what is known as a "Junior" football club, so similar to a Non League side down here, the Lowland League is the same level as the Highland League, just geographical, tough call good luck Mr A, you are banking on players finishing work on the farm in time to play ;-)
Trent Canary 0 Posted November 26, 2015 Falkirk should be too strong for Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup.Best of luck allNCFC Bet, Sanchez to score more than once (If he looks likely to start)

lake district canary 4,531 Posted November 27, 2015 Like the way Liverpool are shaping up, so Liverpool to beat Swansea, home win.For the Norwich bet, fancy a 2-0 win, confounding the odds.Good luck Hissing and Kev and to everyone.
93vintage 16 Posted November 27, 2015 For the Norwich match I''d back a range of HT/FT''s consistent with an Arsenal win or draw. Stick the rest on a double chance win or draw for Arsenal, plus a couple of Norwich goalscorers. I wouldn''t bet on more than one Norwich goal, so be careful about going overboard on backing lots of scorers. For the accumulator I''ll go for a Birmingham away win. They''ve got a good away record and Brighton are bound to lose sooner or later.
