nutty nigel 7,585 Posted October 7, 2015 So here we are at week 10already. A quarter of the way through the season! This weekend is another internationalbreak and to guide us through we have CD Mullins in charge and making the finalselections. CD is on the best form of us all being the last PUP standing with aperfect record of 9/9 100% correct picks. This follows last season where Chrisfinished with 21/24 88%. CD also is my go to PUP for advice on any of the betsI don’t understand. And if that’s not enough he stepped in for me earlier inthe season when we needed someone to pick the Norwich bets at short notice. Nowyou PUPs probably think I blunder my way through with my rota. But there isusually a plan. And I firmly believe Chris is the perfect PUP for this week’schallenge and if we get that little bit of luck we always need he will see usback to winning ways. Now even thoughit’s international weekend there’s no requirement to pick those fixtures.Although many of our usual hunting grounds don’t have fixtures, besides theinternationals there’s games in other leagues in UK and all over Europe. Justbe careful to check that your selection is played on Sat/Sun/Mon of thisweekend and listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web site. Obviously there’sno Norwich game this week so we can concentrate all our efforts into helping CDMullins with the six game accumulator. [^]We have two birthday’sthat I know of this weekend with Jellytot on the 9/10 and Til1010 finally gets his free tvlicence on 10/10. Happy birthday to you both. I’ll hand the thread over to CDMullins now. Remember there’s no pressurebecause we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We allstand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community SportsFoundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Chris... the thread isyours.......[:)]..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always Ileave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :-Carve theirnames with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,4,Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3,Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,3, Graham Humphrey,Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup,Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC,Hughesy, Gregt, GMF,2, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake DistrictCanary, Bor Bor Bor, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £1108 forthe Community Sports Foundation. 93vintage 16 Posted October 7, 2015 It would be a tragedy for football if 2nd placed Norway qualified for Euro 2016 at the expense of 3rd placed Croatia. Both teams play Malta in their remaining two games, but Norway have a tricky trip to Italy where they might well nick a point. The upshot is that a draw might not be good enough for Croatia, and a home win vs Bulgaria @1/3 or 1/4 looks to be quite good odds considering the disparity. Should be a good match to watch on Saturday evening too.
Cosmic Twin 192 Posted October 7, 2015 I''m also going for a home win for Norway v. Malta.Good Luck, CDMullins!Happy Birthday to Jellytot and Tilly!
Feedthewolf 4,865 Posted October 7, 2015 International weeks are tough at the best of times, but this week''s matches are an absolute pig! There''s a surfeit of super-short bankers, but not much to maximise your winnings. I think I''ve found a middle way, though; in Group H, Norway and Croatia are chasing down Italy, who can''t afford any slip-ups. The Azzurri''s qualifying campaign has been far from convincing (they snuck a 1-0 win against Malta if memory serves!) but they''re still unbeaten, and still leading the chasing pack. Victory in Azerbaijan will secure Italy''s place at the finals; however, they know that failure to win would mean their last game against Norway could be a straight shoot-out for qualification. Bank on them to get the job done - odds in the region of 1/3 seem fair.In bocca al lupo...

A bit riskier, but Israel v Cyprus @ 1/2 looks fairly good when you look at Cyprus'' dreadful away record and propensity to concede at least one goal. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,228 Posted October 7, 2015 Not much doubt that CD is well equipped to deal with this week..Bit of a rollercoaster in the Ham household this week, with reason to now put our faith in our Welsh brethren......so in the spirit of community and bonhomie we''ll haveThe New Saints vs Connah''s Quay - Home winBuona Fortuna,Parma

93vintage 16 Posted October 8, 2015 Change of plan. I''ve just realised that Croatia have recently changed manager and are playing their game behind closed doors, both of which aren''t exactly ideal. So I''ll go with Israel vs Cyprus, home win @ 1/2 instead.

Molly Windley 76 Posted October 8, 2015 Tough choice this week, go for a nailed on 1/10 international fixture and get the win percentage up or try the riskier longer odds and get myself back in the black as well? Will go for the longer odds on Luton vs York at 5/6 for a home win as Luton have got the groove together and are on a 4 game win winning streak after a poor start to the season and York`s only wins this season have been against lowly Yeovil and Newport.Good luck to CDMullins

AJ 1,224 Posted October 9, 2015 A bit boring this week but I will also back Holland to beat Kazakhstan - if they can''t do that they don''t deserve the slim chance to qualify! As for the Norwich bet, can we stick a cheeky bet on Lafferty to score in the last game for N.Ireland, assuming he''ll play
