  1. Didn't Webber leave before they got promoted? I'm not saying that the recruitment wasn't implemented by him, we know these things rumble on for some time. It's been discussed, but perhaps the Huddersfield comparison is a bit of a lazy one now, in light of what we've seen from us?
  2. I think they're lapping it up because they think us, as Norwich fans, are proper hurt that they have our former 'messiah' in charge. Think again, bin boys.
  3. Zimbo will be starting most games imo. Farke has always stuck with him. It's all been links to attacking players so far. Yusuf Yazici, an attacking midfielder/number 10 type who I like the look of and the lad from Greece (Giorgos Masouras) who is a winger.
  4. Not sure that we'll get another CB, but I reckon they'll look at another 'keeper as McGovern likely off... not because of Krul! But if the Henderson link is to be believed, I'd be happy with him betwixt the sticks. I also feel as though if we do get a striker it would perhaps be unfair on Pukki. However, with the assumption that we won't keep Rhodes, we'd need someone else in.
  5. One of Huddersfield's main issues, I would imagine, is that Webber had left before they got to the Prem. I believe they were quite close to it at the time but his recruitment skills would have been missed and perhaps we picked up some gems they were looking at, even. Although many of us (myself included) have likened our potential in the Prem to that of Huddersfield's, we've seen a sharp decline in their fortunes and they haven't been able to keep up the excellent work from their first season in the big league. I am thinking our smart recruitment, coupled with the passion of our academy players and current crop will be a big bonus for us when (if) we go up. Farke plays a different style of football to Wagner (we've seen more of that now compared to last season) and I am quite certain, if we try and stick to our attacking principles and possesion game, we could be a surprise package.
  6. Do you also follow Watford, Fortuna Sittard and WBA (away)? 😉
  7. Probably because people (publishers) like to get a more accurate idea of how many might be needed to fulfil pre-orders. Thus saving money, thus making more and ensuring that Holty doesn't have to go on an Alan Partridge level pulping session.
  8. I think the Fuzzar comment was said with tongue firmly wedged in cheek. Might be wrong though
  9. The majority of whom were likely from Yarmouth... 😉
  10. Funny you should think that as I've always thought Pukki does look quick. He's one of those with 'deceptive' pace. Takes him a while to get there but once he does... Zoom!
  11. I guess this sprung up because of the new Netflix series on it? I watched three episodes and turned it off. Just going over old ground that many have read about, heard about or discussed before. I thought it was pointless even bringing the documentary out, in all honesty. A terrible incident, granted. But not really the place to discuss it here.
  12. Exactly this. Also big compliments to Farke (yes, I'm using HIS terminology) for spotting Ben's potential as a CB. He may well be, one day, "world class" as Farke predicted.
  13. The chanting was actually 'give it to Delia' which made me feel a bit weird... I agree with the fact we shouldn't have been concentrating on where a hat was going, instead continued to cheer on the team and actually watch the game. When that hat thing happened, the entire Barclay was pretty much looking over to the City stand and not watching the game. It was pretty dumb. But funny. I think...
  14. Totally agree KG. Perhaps not on the fact that Emi is more like Maddison, but I get what you mean. He wants to take corners and some set-pieces but I'm not sure his dead ball ability from freekicks, for example, is as good as Madders is. Yet. However, last point is spot on. My goodness he's a terrier!
  15. One thing about Emi that will elevate him above Wes (eventually) in my opinion is the fact that he doesn't have a weak foot! Outrageous play yesterday for sure! What a lad!
  16. This whole thread reads like a Peter Kay stand up performance... "STOP CASUALLY REMEMBERING THINGS PETER!"
  17. Wish they'd stop being so dgmatic about it 🤪
  18. Our little crew of friends often like to call it a 'pissballet' as that's what it ended up getting auto corrected to when somebody tried to write it in our What's App group! I'd like to see drunk ballet now I think about it...
  19. Sometimes these things work... sometimes they don't! Arguably though, the German 'fourth division' isn't as good as the SPL so I can understand why many didn't think Zimbo would cut it. I myself had serious reservations about his lack of pace but, wow, he's proven me and many others wrong. I love the guy. I really feel we have a special coach and back room team, who have shown confidence in and brought the best out of these players.
  20. Yes, probably one of the best examples of a coach bringing a player he knows and trusts to the club with him and said player actually performing admirably. Tony Andreu anyone?? 🤪
