All of those - so how motivated are they? I sense another 6 - 0 relegation at Fulham looming.

Soft Board's failure to act incredible
FCC replied to Tumbleweed's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It is the dithering I can''t stand. We have been poor for a long time, and needed some new exciting signings - or a change of manager. We got neither. No great signings - just loanees who won''t go down even if the team does. It appears the Board didn''t back Hughton when his squad needed refreshing, nor have they taken the decisive step to remove him. The Board now must accept the failure to change Manager or improve the squad lays the blame for relegation at their door. If we stay up, and that is what we all want, the Board must take a lot of credit for making the decisions the have. Sadly, from my seat on the train home, I don''t think they have got it right this time. Let''s hope for a miracle next week. -
This ludicrous dismissal of Guitierrez
FCC replied to Northern Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No matter the results - he ain''t going into the Championship. Already one foot in the lifeboat - not a hungry player looking to seize a chance. Loan due to age or lack of confidence in our future? Perhaps from him, perhaps from the board. -
I believe Johnson would speak his mind, but can''t help thinking one or two others are discussing options for next season with their agents. It''s not their fight and they will sell the manager down the river. We are the new QPR.

Took a break from the message boards last night
FCC replied to Jim Smith's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We''ll written response - which I think is valid. -
Zola thanks.

I can''t understand how he convinces the Board he should stay. We are spineless to watch and his interviews appear depressing and passionless to me. The minute we go a goal down both fans and players appear to sense we have lost and spend the rest of the game hoping another six aren''t coming our way.

If we go down - RVW, Hooper and Fer will go in the summer. Howson, Hoolahan, Johnson and the like won''t. Hughton has spent millions on mercenaries who play for themselves and that he can''t motivate. It reminds me of the Championship relegation season when we had too many has beens and loan signings. No point being a gifted footballer if you lack desire. Hughton should go, but it his players who have let him down. No pride, no passion, no points!

Wolfswinkle doesn't offer anything
FCC replied to MisterCarrow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
For me he doesn''t offer £8m of something - yet. -
Wigan if they play Grant - at Carrow Road.

I wonder what our lowest away following has been? The way the weather is, it may be this game could challenge. I remember a few years back when games at Burnley and Blackpool (in the league cup I think) were called off just before kick off.

Am I alone in being happy to see 1.5 million for Wes?
FCC replied to Indy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If you had to pick an 11 to fight for the shirt Wes would be one. After Hughtons signings you won''t find another 10! If we have to win a game stay up Wes would give 100%. RVW, Hooper and Fer would have other options irrespective of the result. Fulham 6 - 0 all over again? Don''t under estimate the value of loyalty in a dressing room or the ability the guy has! -
Howson Martin Ruddy

Do you need to beat your rivals to survive?
FCC replied to The Great Mass Debater's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Points are enough late in the season with games running out. What we appear to be doing is sustaining momentum for clubs around us. Fulham have quality and are picking up, Cardiff will have a new manager, Palace have new found belief - and other posters have acknowledged are improving. West Ham may change manager. We have no momentum, belief, or quality, and look at present, no better than Sunderland or Palace. -
Interesting debate "the does sacking the manager change anything." Surely timing is important - give a new manager some cash and a transfer window and he has more chance of making a difference. If sacking the manager made no difference, do we consider Gunn would have taken us to the Premier?

Agree with the 4 points raised. The first names on my team sheet would not be the players Hughton has signed. We only play well for half a game because on the odd occasion the tactics are right the oppositions coaches respond. The majority of the time we are gutless, look incapable of winning a game, and don''t have a plan. We need a leader - I don''t think Hughton is one, and I don''t see any in Yellow. In fact I don''t think Hughton has had the fans backing since his first (of many humiliations) at Fulham. At least he is now having to recognise we need Wes, one of the few the club means a lot to that Hughton hasn''t got rid of. He appears to sign players who do not fit into how we are to play - use wingers but no powerful number 9 with a presence.

3 points on New Years Day or its the end of an era
FCC replied to sonyc's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Should be gone before then - too many chances already. Cannot believe how many times he puts out a side that doesn''t perform - preparation and motivation appears beyond the management team. -
Not pace, passion or goals. Any remaining bit of skill will be coached out of him by May.

I think it is nonsense and I made no reference to any particular manager. The article does imply that keeping Gunn would have ended in consecutive promotions though. Perhaps the relevance is in making sure you appoint a more suitable manager than the one you sack. It may not be a better manager - just different attributes more relevant to a club or existing squad of players if no money is available. Neither my original comment, or the article, provide any clue as to the best course of action regarding the current manager.

It goes deeper than Becchio doesn't it.
FCC replied to Juggy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I wonder if Becchio''s situation is impacting on Johnson, Howson and Snodgrass who Becchio will presumably have been friends with at Leeds - I am sure they would have expected him to get more opportunities if he discussed coming to Norwich.
