Yep. We have virtually no wriggle room in the squad and yet Farke still pulls something out of the hat.

Farke has no idea, doesn't make subs
Mr.Carrow replied to hogesar's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I sometimes wonder what Webber or Farke would think reading this board after draws and defeats and just cringe. Ever negative righteous moaners can drive good people out of clubs and it needs to spoken out against. If just a couple of people become more trusting and supportive then it's worth it. -
So lucky to have Farke and the stewardship of Webber

Bump. Genius management from Farke yet again. Can we hear some appreciation? -
Well I hope the 2000 that are there take the lesson from Luton and realise that even at low numbers fans can still pressure the officials/opposition and change games. Be loud, be intimidating, be biased and help us get back on track.

I once got a studs up boot in the thigh from a keeper at full pelt as I was through on goal. Missed the tender bits by an inch. I had a lovely boot shaped bruise with darker bits where the studs were for a couple of weeks, but funnily enough it wasn't particularly painful and I played in the following games.

Given much of Luton's threat will be crosses and set pieces, it might not be such a bad game to have 3 big centre halves.

Let's be blunt about it, if it wasn't for yet another ridiculous injury crisis the people moaning about Leitner and Drmic not being available would be moaning about unused players hanging around and not getting a sniff of the match day squad. All clubs try to strike a balance.and Farke prefers a smaller, tight knit squad. Yes, it's nervy times and we have a little egg on our faces but we're ten games unbeaten and 2-3 players should be back for Luton. It's not doom and gloom.

Mean while at Portman road
Mr.Carrow replied to Uncle Fred's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yep, and this is why despite inevitable bumps in the road the current approach and trajectory is spot on and should be supported. Not just the academy either- the scouting system have come up trumps with inexpensive gems yet again. -
Scraping the three points was by far the most important thing. We are on a real roll results wise and play two lesser teams next. Even down to the bare bones we should have enough to give Coventry and Luton plenty of problems. We just have to scrap for every point until January when we should have reinforcements coming in.

They're the kind of club I'd normally have respect for- sizeable, local, passionate working class support, but I've had more unsavoury incidents with them over the years than any other club (including racism). Add to that their general Lambert-esque lack of class in recent years and a fanbase many of whom seem to have a Leeds-like sense of grandeur and importance without much to back it up and I'd love to see them relegated. They're not even the biggest club in their own City.

Yep. Anybody would think Farke and Webber know what they are doing to a far greater extent than some miserable moaner on a message board.

Bali Mumba - goes inside and out
Mr.Carrow replied to Pugin's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'm pretty sure he's seen as Aarons successor (although I suppose if they constantly see the level of attacking threat he carried today, they may change their minds). On Sorensen, I believe we've conceded 2 goals in 4 games against top half sides with him in the team. That's some achievement. -
I think statistically we've had more shots than any other team. The problem has been our front players have been out of sorts and not capitalising on our good play. Thanks to perseverance, fitness and good subs we've generally scraped one goal victories. We should have absolutely buried Derby- it was one of the most one sided defeats you'll ever see.

Farke does not get the credit he deserves
Mr.Carrow replied to Rhino1's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
You could say that about Alex Ferguson. Step back and look at the bigger picture and he gets it right far more than average (accepting for the injury hit Prem campaign in which he simply had few/poor options). -
It's in USA's interest for him to come back to City and impress at a high level. Hopefully a few late sub appearances will fulfill the requirements.
-
Don't think he'll lose any sleep over the penalty. He did the right thing and tried to get in the way despite being on the floor. Great assist and looks another good young player.

On Facebook, Twitter and YouTube we have 4-5 times the following of Ipswich and bigger than many Prem clubs. Not 100% accurate but it's an interesting snapshot.

Mario's Freekick
Mr.Carrow replied to Disco Dales Jockstrap's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
One of the reasons why relegated prem teams often struggle is the "it's only Wycombe" factor in which many fans turn up expecting a 5-0 win then get negative and disgruntled if their team is not on track by half time. I can absolutely guarantee that there would have been boos at half time today and that could well have negatively affected the players. -

Hmmm maybe, but just imagine how many people would've been moaning, booing and screaming "get'ut fooorward!" before those things happened. I think our players being allowed to be patient is working in our favour right now. -
Mario Vrančić appreciation thread

Whoa whoa. Three wins on the spin and you're trying to take people's only reason to moan away?! Shame on you. -
Those who seem desperate to jump on any negatives as soon as they occur should have a long, hard look at what could be. Our under 23's are storming their league. Loan players are scoring worldies and keeping clean sheets. We've just won three tough games on the bounce with new players settling in and others coming back from long injuries. Let's be positive and hold our course... they are what we might have been.
