  1. Given the other teams fixtures, I’ve got this down as a ‘must win’. It appears most of the bottom six have got ‘winnable’ home games. If we can get a win, it seriously ramps up the pressure on our rivals to do the business. We also need to try and get some points in the bag before we get any more injuries.
  2. I think Liverpool potentially being able to clinch the title at Goodison would’ve been good for us. You’d expect that Everton would give everything to stop that from happening. As we’re playing them only a couple of days later, that could’ve made a difference to their performance level against us.
  3. If we don’t know who it is, then Southampton don’t know who it is. So if it is a first teamer, we can plan to be without them but Southampton will be none the wiser. Although, do we have another test due before Friday? As one of our players has it, is there not a serious chance that more will be tested positive before Friday’s match?
  4. This is just pure speculation.
  5. When we’re the tests done? If Thursday, the player would be able to be in the squad Friday anyway, if the following test shows negative, or am I missing something? If Southampton think our squad is riddled with Covid, perhaps they won’t fancy playing us too much!
  6. Josh Martin tweeted it was a 2-1 win and he got an assist. No idea who scored though.
  7. I really don’t care about what happens as long as no one gets injured!
  8. Krul Aarons Hanley Godfrey (sweeper) Klose Lewis Tettey Vrancic Buendia Pukki Cantwell
  9. As already mentioned, those first two matches are vital. At home (which still offers some level of advantage) against average sides with nothing to play for. I expect we’ll know where we’re at by the time we face Utd in the cup.
  10. Yes, they’re currently releasing some new pretty hideous leisurewear on our behalf. It could be an indication of the new kit or it may not be.
  11. Drmic is a good player, anyone who knows anything about football can see that. Assuming he gets no more injuries, I can see him popping up with a few goals before the end of the season. As much as I like Rhodes, I’d only be signing him if we lost a striker in the summer. Assuming everyone stays, I don’t think we’d need him.
  12. So Southampton at home, followed by Everton at home. Just imagine if we could pick up 6 points from our first two games back.
  13. In all the times we’ve been relegated since I can recall (say circa 1990) we’ve never once strolled to promotion the next season. I’m pretty sure the Alex Neil play off final was the only time we’ve bounced straight back, and that was a struggle. I’ve seen some very good Norwich teams get relegated and drift into total mediocrity. I even recall the ‘on loan to the Endsleigh’ era which turned out to be a very long loan!
  14. We’ve not had a plan B all season so I don’t think it would do us any harm trying this on our first match back vs Saints. All their prep will be based on us playing the same way we have all season so this could blind side them a little. If we can get a win there, then it’s really game on!
  15. I’ll be taking mine. Had we actually spent some money last summer, I’d have been more inclined to let them keep it.
  16. Pockthorpe, I’m not sure how changing the tactics periodically would change the ethos of how we play? You can play the same way but with different tactics. Liverpool and Man City don’t set-up exactly the same every week, they set up to get the best possible result but their style and footballing ethos throughout the whole club doesn’t change.
  17. Exactly right CD, Thirsty is not talking sense. It’s clearly not the only reason we’re bottom but it’s clearly one of the main reasons.
  18. Our tactics are the same every match, which is one of the primary reasons we’re bottom of the league.
  19. I didn’t watch today but I’ve seen most of our matches this season and our reluctance to shoot is so frustrating. Even when inside the box and seemingly in decent shooting positions. I’ve not seen many goals scored by teams that don’t shoot!
  20. I didn’t watch it today but bar the Bournemouth match, Duda has been shocking. We’ve not scored a goal in open play in any match he’s played!
  21. Surely you can’t just relegate teams with over 1/4 of the season still to go? The financial implications are huge so that would be a legal nightmare!
  22. The state pension was commonly referred to as the ‘old age pension’. This is when life expectancy was a lot lower. As such, those in receipt of this were ‘old age pensioners’.
  23. We can’t expect all the results to go our way. Watford and West Ham are the most likely candidates to escape given the quality of their squads. We need Brighton, Bournemouth and Villa to finish below us and we’ve gained points on all of them. Newcastle look dire but if they’re being dragged into it, I think we’re doomed!
