Exciting times ahead
glory.win or die. replied to mr footy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'd be delighted with 17th. We have made a couple of great signings in my opinion but, at present rashica and Gilmour are replacing buendia and skipp so I see us as back up to last seasons standard. We definitely need to improve, another defender and midfielder at least although I think another striker/winger is a must. Not sure if he's signed anywhere but I thought someone like ayew wld be good. Sign on a 1 Yr contract, large signing on fee to replace the much lower wages etc. -
Also... I understand why they keep their flags down, until a move is finished so they can check var if needed, but that's so annoying. Why can't they flag for a suspected offside so everyone can see there's a doubt and it will be checked, and the ref waves play on. Then check it after.

Personally I actually think our refs get most decisions right, we think they are poor because 1 we disagree with a decision which 9 times out of 10 is proven right later, yet we only remember our initial thoughts. And 2 any mistake us highlighted and replayed so much. Ppl seem to expect perfection from humans but complain about how precise VAR trys to be slowing the game down. Id rather leave as much as possible to human decision, even if there's more errors so we can keep the instant emotion of football in tact, and not this diluted version that bar creates.

I vaguely recall one German game when the players went in for HT then had to come back out to take a penalty if I recall,

The NCFC 'what could have been XI'

Can we have a 'couldve been you' owner? Has to be Giovanni di stefano who I think was amongst other things Saddam Hussein's lawyer. -

The NCFC 'what could have been XI'

Some past it players were still great .. To be fair Molby was class even then although not very mobile. David Rocastle was another past his best but still oozed class. I suppose Dion Dublin was past it too but another good player. -
I have to agree. One comment and people take it as gospel. Like when Danny Murphy said we were the best team ever to get relegated..... We weren't but people took it to heart Robbie Savages says things because he knows it winds ppl up. Hes a troll but paid to be one

Great film, need to read the book. Slightly of topic but does anyone else remember the "match of the 70s" show, narrated by Dennis Waterman, each episode covering the games and stories of each season Thats worth a look, if you like 70s football, think it's on YouTube -
Matheus Pereira a good replacement for Emi?
glory.win or die. replied to Harry53's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We will probably end up with someone like Hourihane or Knockaert as a replacement -

In fairness I think our model is more from necessity than choice. -
The 'I hate Villa' thread
glory.win or die. replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'm not sure it's fair to compare villa with Huddersfield. They are a huge club, fantastic history, have rich owners and who's to say they can't be another Leicester. EMI is irreplaceable but maybe we have a better chance staying up with less beautiful football, if we can invest in 4-5 good defensively solid players, we are always likely to nick a goal from Pukki,Cantwell,or dowell -
On-topic but off topic - Tottenham
glory.win or die. replied to Terminally Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
This would suggest players like Skipp may be given a chance which is bad for us..."Negotiations were at a standstill on Friday evening, with Spurs holding concerns over some of Conte's demands including a reluctance to work with promising young players at the club". -

Every respect? After you implied she was only there because she's female/ black? Think you need to question your use of the word respect before you question her using the words Milton Keynes. -
Mings gets away with one
glory.win or die. replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Have to say I can't see how that's not a red. Even if its without any intention to hurt, you get a red if you slide on the floor with studs slightly up, why not when your studs are clearly coming down towards a player. There's no intention to kick the ball at all. -
