nutty nigel 7,534 Posted October 9, 2013 Greetings PUPs and welcome to week 9 of the Rays Funds season. This weekwe have one of Rays Fund’s greatest supporters and longest serving PUPs withHissing Sid in charge and making the final selections. Ian is one of the greatpeople I have met through these threads and I can tell you that as well asbeing one of our very best pickers he’s also a top bloke too. He’s also fixtureat our home and away games with a real supporter’s love for our great footballclub. There’s nothing I’d like better this weekend than to carve out HissingSid on Ray’s signature and all us PUPs can help achieve that by giving him ourvery best selections from this weekends games. I’m putting this up a bit earlier this week because it’s an internationalweekend and we like to have the option of choosing the Friday evening fixtures. To give Ian and I a chance to get the bet on the starting point for selectionsis 7pm on Friday evening. That should give you PUPs the chance to select fromall but a few of the evenings internationals. But of course there’s norequirement to choose one of these games. There’s other fixtures throughout theweekend and the only requirement is that your game is listed on William Hill’sweb site because we need to use their bet insurance that we got followingScooby’s unlucky 5/6 last weekend. Well done again Splutcho for getting our first NCFC match bet win lastweekend. That takes the total raised for the CSF so far this season to over£128. There’s no match bet this weekend. So now I’ll hand the thread over to Hissing Sid. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing ourbest to help you get your name in the Rays Funds Hall of Fame. We all standtogether with the single aim of raising money for the Community SportsFoundation Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Ian ... the thread isyours.......[:)]...... As always I leave you withRays signature which now reads :- Carve their names withpride.Yankee,4,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,3,Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary, Cosmic Twin, Graham Humphrey,Leedscanary,2, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox, Lappinitup,Statto, Mandie Moo, Mr Bump, Kathy, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo yesNorfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £118 for the Community Sports Foundation. And with the Norwich matchbet. Splutcho, yes PUPs £10.50 for the CSF making a total of £2167 raised intotal so far.

The Great Drinkell 50 Posted October 9, 2013 The secret of using experience is not repeating your mistakes, Our Declan had a bit of a shocker last week but will bounce back this with a clean sheet so 1 goal will be enough for Preston to beat Crewe and with the experienced Kevin Davis leading the line I''m sure they will do this. And 8/15 is much better than some of the odds on the international matches so a little bit of value too - maybe.Good luck Sid.

Kathy 733 Posted October 9, 2013 Going to risk the hundred percenter this week with something of slightly better value. USA to beat Jamaica please.Good luck Ian. We''re all rootin'' for you :)
Gingerpele 0 Posted October 9, 2013 Going for a Luton win this week, using similar logic that found me my losing pick last week. In hope that lightning can''t strike twice, Hyde on a 10 game losing streak, losing 2 and drawing the other 2 from the full 14 I hope won''t manage to break the mould they have set themselves. I also like it when a teams odds to win is over 4/1. They are 10/1 to win, Luton 1/4. So not great odds for 4th places Luton.Luton vs Hyde- Home winGood luck :)

Hissing Sid 154 Posted October 9, 2013 Uh-oh...here we go then. Thanks for the intro Nutty, really looking forward to this, somewhat nervously though. I''ve already lost count of how many times I''ve missed out by just one result on accumulators this season. No better time to put that right.Of course, each and every pick will be considered, but for some of the more obscure picks, any extra info will be gratefully received. For the record, my pick this week isGermany v Rep Ireland - Home WinLet the games begin.... Mr Angry 1,561 Posted October 9, 2013 I think internationals are sometimes harder to call but despite that I''m going for Holland to beat Hungary at home, odds 1/3 which don''t seem too bad.Good luck Hissing Sid, and good luck to all the other PUPs too.
