Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted November 29, 2011 I look forward to watching from a far as their next big name manager signs a wealth of Premier League talent with great levels of experience of the game. Of course there will be a slight up turn in fortunes, a few wins and decent performances and then a steady slide back to defeats and moral boosting draws against playoff chasers.Thank whatever religious figure you care to choose that we are no longer in that position and don''t look like being in such a place in a hurry again. Bill 1,788 Posted November 29, 2011 "Damnit, Jewells going to get sacked before he gets them relegated at this rate..."yes, rather like the captain of the Titanic getting sacked 30 mins after it had hit the iceberg
Reggie Strayshun 0 Posted November 29, 2011 Don''t know why you lot have such a downer on 1p5wich . The result at Turf Moor represents a huge improvement. A solid achievement. They shipped 5 in April to some team I''ve never heard of . Then conceded 7 to the top East Anglian Championship team. So letting in 4 to a side that only earlier this year fancied appointing Mr Lambert as their manager is REAL progress.
TIL 1010 4,766 Posted November 29, 2011 Their midfield tonight had Kennedy,Bowyer and Bullard in it so i make their combined age about 110.[:D]

Bill 1,788 Posted November 29, 2011 "Otherwise the binners would be in trouble."It''s not as if being over £70m in debt, having falling gates, season tickets and income on a long term yearly basis is ''trouble''Or a squad that should all the out of contract and loan players leave will give you a squad of a half a dozen or so next June is trouble eitherAny problems Portsmouth are having will effect the paupers in the same way a power cut would effect a condemned man sat in the Electric chair. Yellowbeagle 0 Posted November 29, 2011 It''s almost as if when we went down to League 1 we handed them our business plan for those last few years in the championship, signing has-been players and loans, hoping for points deductions off of other teams, recruiting managers who are also past their best (Jewell) or were abit flash in the pan and/or mad (Keane). The similarities are shocking, also 60 odd million debt would be huge in league 1.

nutty nigel 7,554 Posted November 29, 2011 Well it''s a long long time since we lost six on the spin. Back in 1995 in fact and at least that was the Premier League. And we still managed to do the double over them (as usual)[|-)][;)] 18 goals conceded in 6 games surely leaves them nailed on for relegation. Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted November 29, 2011 The Binners may be very lucky this season as Portsmouth may be deducted 10 points as their parent company has gone into administration according to the BBC.With Coventry and Doncaster off the pace at the foot of the Championship, the Binners may just escape the drop.DIVE! nutty nigel 7,554 Posted November 30, 2011 It seems "Sleepy Suffolk" folk are just whingeing on message boards rather than doing something positive to change things. Have we got any battle weary warriors, veterans of past campaigns, who could go over the border and help "Dad''s Army" out[:^)]
