way out west 0 Posted March 1, 2011 Aleksandr Kokko (born June 4, 1987 in Leningrad) is a Soviet Union-born Finnish footballer who plays as a striker. He represents FC PoPa in the Ykkönen, second tier of Finnish football.Kokko made his first appearance in the Finnish top flight at the age of 17 with FC Jazz. He joined FC Honka before the 2007 season and made six appearances for the club during his first season. On May 5, 2008 he scored a hat-trick when FC Honka beat FC Haka in a league match by the scoreline of 7 - 0. Those were his first goals in the Finnish Premier Division. Kokko was the top goalscorer in the 2008 season of Veikkausliiga with 13 goals. In August 2010 Kokko was loaned to FC PoPa.Kokko made his debut for the Finnish national under-21 team on August 20, 2008 in a match against Sweden.[1]In January 2009, IS Veikkaaja told that Real Betis was planning to make a loan offer for Kokko.[2]Isn''t Wikipedia wonderful? chicken 0 Posted March 1, 2011 Wiki says he is 23, 6''2 1/2" and from Finland. Doesn''t look that prolific a goal scorer according to the stats on there, nor does he have any ''top'' experience. He is on the books at FC Honka but on loan to FC PoPa.
Alex Moss 2,165 Posted March 1, 2011 Never heard of him, but in all honesty, doesn''t sound too promising looking at this. We can leave that to PL though... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Kokko
Alex Moss 2,165 Posted March 1, 2011 Apparently, according to the source, he''s playing in a friendly tonight against Ipsh1te. A FRIENDLY against Ipsh1te???! I believed the source up until that point.

Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,824 Posted March 1, 2011 Just loaded a Football Manager game as Norwich and scouted him. This is how Football Manager rates him- but they can be very hit and miss, obviously:Similar in style to Grant Holt then, but not quite as good. Not convinced by his goalscoring record either. Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,565 Posted March 1, 2011 Most trials are a player''s agent sending their man to a club for a while in the hope the club will pick them up, I doubt Lambert went seeking this guy out. Hopefully he is a bit of an unknown gem, Russia/Finnish heritage suggests someone as hard as nails and at over 6 foot he could be a new Shefki Kuqi - not sure if that is good or bad. More often in terms of a player''s style of play, as opposed to actual ability.

The full database is regarded as one of the largest data sets on players in the world, and each player''s stats are put together using information from local scouts - so although it sounds like a stupid thing, it can actually be incredibly accurate. (This of course depends on which database you load etc)

Everton use it as a scouting tool too, and actually signed an exclusive deal with Sports Interactive to get access to it before anyone else:http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/2008/11/14/everton-sign-deal-to-scout-for-world-s-best-players-in-football-manager-video-game-86908-20893667/

Baracouda 47 Posted March 1, 2011 Football Manager is biggest data-set of players, however, i believe some players have "randomn" stats due to their knowledge can''t reach every football player. They give them a base skill (total points to use) then they''re randomnly generated to a degree.

milehighcanary 0 Posted March 1, 2011 Not sure about this one. After watching the youtube clip I''d have to say that I could''ve scored at least 8 of those myself!1st - Tap in2nd - Offside3rd - Sitter4th - Tap in: Right place, right time5th - Defense were spectating6th - Average goal7th - Good header8th - What were the defenders doing? - full marks for concentration + clean strike9th - Again, what were the defense doing?10th - Not sure what happened.11th - Good header12th - Best of the bunchI didn''t really see any creativity or dynamic finishing. If this selection of goals are supposed to demonstrate Kokko''s talent, then I can''t say I''d be an immediate fan.
milehighcanary 0 Posted March 1, 2011 This clip that is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYe6LjGlyko&feature=relatedNot the 9-0 clip which the more I watch, the more I''m convinced the opposition were a group of fans who''d won a raffle to play their home town team.
