Official match preview

https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/match-preview-norwich-city-v-leeds-united-oct24

Tonight's game has a German beer festival feel with Bratwurst and an ompah band. Beside myself with excitement.

The opposition

Managed by the Messiah despite some Leeds supporters wanting him sacked in the summer. They will be without the influential Ethan Ampadu who was injured on Saturday. Leeds are also without Manor Solomon (hamstring), Max Wober (thigh/knee) and Dan James (hamstring).

Press conference

I haven't seen anything. Please post if you have. Edit see @Satrialespost immediately below. Thanks

My prediction

Defeat and a red for Borja

Apologies for the formatting!

From the JHT presser, I believe not much has changed since the Derby game, apart from Ben Chrisene who is out for 2 games due to concussion protocol. He took a smack to the head from the ball just before full time.

Certainly feels like a beer festival and plan a few myself this afternoon!

Great opportunity for sliding tackles as its been raining non stop for about 2 days now, and I do wonder if we might see a red card tonight.

We're due a decent performance against Leeds, hopefully tonight.

That's a problem. We can't afford an injury at left back and it stops Doyle moving to centre half if necessary.

Play Stacey there. He's already got the shirt

There's a great episode of Frasier where he can't beat his dad at chess. At the end he finally does so and says to him tearfully and Oedipally, "I'm sorry I beat you dad."

Which is my way of saying that I'm not sure I'm psychologically ready for us to beat a Farke team yet. Might need more time.

Out from a smack in the head from the ball? He wouldn't have made it back when balls were leather thats for sure

I went to both games last year & enjoyed none of it. Today feels different, I'm up for it & I hope the boys are too.

Is Angus wearing guyliner? (Don’t know if War Paint For Men are still an NCFC partner).

Absolutely pissing down in Norwich and surrounding roads decidedly iffy.

Won't be surprised to see a few empty seats tonight.

There will definitely be a good number of coffin dodgers missing tonight but not me.

I know this is supposed to be another one of your fun throwaway gags.

But in all seriousness, there was a study commissioned by the FA & PFA a few years ago into neurological conditions suffered by footballers.

The study's results suggested lighter footballs make no difference, and that modern footballers were actually at greater risk of neurological disorders.

(apologies for sidetracking the thread, everyone)

Absolutely chucking it down here, troughing and drains can’t cope, might have to think twice about going.

I'll be there regardless. Bit of a poor show if the Leeds blocks are rammed and we leave empty seats.

Looking at my piece of seaweed hanging up near the back door, it points to it easing off in another couple of hours and stopping by around six (ish)

Mind you, I could be wrong as it is chucking it down here and I have only been able to have a squint at from the kitchen window

But the signs are it will not be raining during the game 😎

This is correct. Although modern footballs are lighter they fly faster as a result so the end outcome is the same. But apparently the trend for playing out from the back and generally keeping the ball on the ground are a positive thing, at least at higher levels.

That's certainly an unusual binocular case Josh has slung over his right shoulder?.....

With the injuries they have it's about as good a chance as we're likely to get. Saying that, would still take a point & good performance...
