Don't think Batth was brought in to be third or fourth choice but I guess time will tell. Sunderlands player of the season and all.

Mind you, the way DW seem sto be approaching thinhgs, he will have to have trained with us for 6 months before playing. You have to be Korean to go striaght in.

I'd like to see Gibson and Warner and see if they can develop a good partnership.

Doubt it will be though and I suspect Duffy will get a chance to redeem himself along with left footed Gibbo (who was our best defender last week).

I happen to agree with Samuel Seaman, he said that because Gibson started against Fulham, Wagner will start with Duffy & Batth today. I don't think Wagner would've risked playing a centre half midweek, if he was then going to play him Saturday as well.

Duffy has been poor last few games IMO, he started really strongly but he’s fading and against Plymouth he was the worst of a bad bunch I thought.

Hog said that the stats backed that up an Gibson was far better ! 

Warner should have been in alongside Gibson

I thought Wagner would change one of cb's & I thought it would have been Gibson, however, if neither lose their place after the sh.t show against Plymouth & the previous last few games, then when will they be dropped.

Thought it would be obvious Gibson would start. He was 10x better than Duffy vs Plymouth, has made less major mistakes than Duffy and equally played well on Wednesday.

Oh and he played well again today.
