cambridgeshire canary 7,697 Posted July 29, 2023 Â Team news in. No Tzolis, Rashica or Aarons. Seems some variation of a 4-4-2 with Sargent and Barnes up top is shaping up to be our go to this coming season.
KeiranShikari 1,524 Posted July 29, 2023 (edited) About what you'd expect. No Tzolis possibly the most interesting thing. If he's not injured he's off. Edited July 29, 2023 by KeiranShikari

To be fair Hernandez was missing last match and he's back now. Is a bit odd mind.
keelansgrandad 6,680 Posted July 29, 2023 Looks very much like a lineup Hull may be facing.
KeiranShikari 1,524 Posted July 29, 2023 Pretty sure Hernandez missed the last game through a very slight injury.
rock bus 1,046 Posted July 29, 2023 Rashica and Aarons must have deals in pipeline then. will be disappointed if Tzolis not given a chance
cambridgeshire canary 7,697 Posted July 29, 2023 And we are facing.. Seems some changes made since they beat Rangers.
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,026 Posted July 29, 2023 Guessing Sorenson and Tzolis may just have slight injuries....not a bad 1st XI , of the bench , Nunez ,Omobamidele and Krul aside,it really does show the drop in quality should we need to delve too far into the squad
Rottingdean canary 137 Posted July 29, 2023 Disappointed that none of our younger players from the academy are in the team. No Gibbs, Rowe, Omobamidele.... But should be a good enough team in the Champs

Hope he comes good, hell of a story given he was playing in the 7th divison last year.. Sure it may have only been for a month long loan but still counts 😉 Edited July 29, 2023 by cambridgeshire canary
canarybubbles 2,158 Posted July 29, 2023 Looks like this might be the end of Tzolis.
ZLF 333 Posted July 29, 2023 Onel not sparkled pre season but prob picked to get time in legs after his injury and he seems the best left sided option, however he needs a better game today for me, nunez far more impressive pre season. Tzolis not playing in was felt to be his shop window can only be down to injury? Only other question is gibsonnahead of omo. But it does feel like next week's starting xi, evidence of an effective preseason would be perfectly timed. pete 362 Posted July 29, 2023 First thing Wagner has done that can be applauded ditching 433, we were absolutely appalling at that formation. Now lets see us fly!

And as the result is not important, games like this are used to see how players perform in a match environment, and how well they perform with the others. Injured ones or crap ones?    We need better coaches, better recruitment and a plan.  We need a mix of brawn, quality and youth…. Not this bunch of journeymen that are starting today.  Where going nowhere.
canarybubbles 2,158 Posted July 29, 2023 So we dump Mumba and probably Tzolis and keep Idah and Placheta. This is effing madness.

This is my concern here...I wonder if we'd be better starting Nunez and pushing Sara into an advanced position , then youd have a fresh Barnes off the bench for the last 25 mins....this way the only alternative to our strikers is Idah
