As someone who watches Italian football regularly, I generally get behind both the English and Italian sides in Europe. When they play each other I take it in a case-by-case basis, but this evening I have to get behind the underdogs.

Also, back in April at the quarter final stage, Noel Gallagher said that he'd like to face Inter in the final because Lukaku is 'dreadful'. It would be quite funny to see that come back to bite him.

Seems like Noel Gallagher knows his football

Always a one goal game.

Some of the worst finishing I’ve seen in a match at this level. Could have easily been 3 or 4 more goals in that last 25 minutes

Odd that Haaland wasn’t a particularly big player in either final, it just shows that you might keep him quiet but they have plenty else to hurt you with.

Congratulations, Kalvin Phillips.

You've played five minutes all season and have somehow won the treble.

This medal handling is an art in itself, the guy prepping the ribbands for the guy doing the presentation to just grab them without looking back.

Absolute perfection.

Pleased for Citeh. Inter were a typical cynical Italian side, tough to handle for any team not used to playing that type of football and although not a vintage performance, deserved the win.

To be fair, it just sounds like you're describing Lukaku 😂

Given the season hes had fair to say Haaland of all players can afford to have a bit of a blip right at the end

And another offshoot of the narrative is calling Pep the greatest manager of all time.

Do people not realize that Sir Alex Ferguson, not only broke up the Old Firm duopoly, he also beat Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, back to back, to win a European trophy.

The Manchester United of Ferguson's era are very similar to the current Manchester City. Both bought up the best talent at the time and both had/have a very good manager. Without both it is not possible to be successful in the Premier League. If it was, Chelsea would have won a lot more in recent years. Newcastle may break through and become successful given the money that they now have.

Great to see that their owner managed to make his second attendance at a City match in 15-years of ownership.

Well done Man City but it wouldn't have been remotely possible if you were self-funded....FACT!...

Manchester United's wealth was earnt though; the money they had was a result of their success, which they built on to increase commercial revenue.

Manchester City's is purely a result of external funding, just like Chelsea's.

Possibly so, but the impact is the same.  Most Clubs tend to rely on external funding to some extent. Even we ourselves are currently reliant on Parachute Payments, a form of external funding. Then there is TV money, not negotiated by ourselves but distributed throughout the league.

I feel sorry for all the fans that travelled to Turkey to watch that snooze-fest!
