I can more see Fassnacht as some kind of striker/false nine cover, but even so if we can do a loan deal for the real thing we should.

i can see Rowe doing well up front but that means moving our outstanding wide man out of position 

i think we need a proven goal scorer someone who knows where the net is and has done it a few seasons 

might be lower / lesser league but knows where the net is

My FD head coming in here: are season's lost in the first half? I know I was concerned when we signed them, but Barnes and Duffy have been revelations and without them, this team would struggle. Is Forshaw good enough to cover for their old heads and still perform consistently? I'd rather keep our stash handy for the January window when there may be more difficult issues of covering for our experienced heads with similar, at this point I couldn't predict which one of the three we needed to be most concerned with.

Soldier: Connor Southwell, in his video review, stated the same thing. Blowing kisses to the crowd etc after the rest of the team had left the pitch. If Omo does move then funds available for his replacement plus more striker cover? But it is very late in the window and clubs acting now have usually slipped up somewhere in their planning.

You’d like to think we have replacements ready to go if anything transpires. All quiet at the moment.

Big Andy seems to be dragging on and on 

i imagine the club has set a price and it is up to interested parties to match it ,

but you would of thought the club that made the big ( webber )offer would have snapped him up by now

The transfer window shuts Friday, IIpm. Sergeant is seeing the 'specialist' on Friday. Are the club waiting until they know the result before deciding ? A couple of months, we might scrape by.

Anything longer, a la Hanley, and have they got names lined up, if so it will be a frantic few hours Friday night.

I’m not surprised. With the system we play going into the season with 3 strikers was a gamble itself, now that Sarge is injured we have to make a move, especially without Kamara around.

That really would be a good signing young but already scored well at this level ,

Looks like Middlesborough are interested , that would be closer to home than here so might be a factor ,

We play two up front and Barnes is 34. With 9 subs there is room for all of them.

He’s a talented 20 year old it would be a long term investment . Webber always spoke about reinvesting this summer.

If he comes it helps us in the immediate and for me we still needed another striker for competition and cover even before Josh’s injury. If signed outright it also prepares us in the years to come for life without Barnes. 

He should be impressed with us as he made his loan debut for Preston from Everton when we beat them 4-0 at Deepdale.

Would be a decent signing and will certainly keep Sargent on his toes when he's fit again.

With that sort of commitment it sounds as if we're expecting a pretty bad prognosis for Josh.
