Solving the creativity problem in the champs

Recommended Posts

Any players youve spotted who can fill the Buendia shaped hole in our team? Obviously we have dowell and rashica (if he stays) but who could we sign to bolster our attacking threat?

Couple of players who would fill the void that I've noticed, couple of emi types, and a couple that aren't so similar.

Chris Willock at qpr - they paid 750k for him and currently has 11 assists and 7 goals this season. Plays like a hybrid of Stiepermann and Emi. Big, strong, direct but can ping a pass and has good vision. 24 years old so room to grow.

Arda Guler - 17 year old kid on the fringes of fenerbahce. Emi type creativity and vision but a bit more direct. Supposedly a lot of big clubs eyeing him so probably not realistic, but the kid is special and probably available relatively cheap as there's not much money in turkish Football these days. Takes penalties too.

Mateusz Musialowski - Polish 18 year old in Liverpool's academy. Prime for a championship loan i would think after excelling in academy level football. Known as "the Polish Messi". His playing style is very similar to Messi in terms of carrying the ball and running directly at players but somehow getting by them (not comparing talent levels, just style). Scores goals for fun, and plays with flair and creativity.

Wildcard - John Swift at Reading. Plays like Stiepermann on steroids with ability to take a free kick. 11 goals 13 assists this season. 26 so a good age.

The Polish Messi? Thought we already had Placheta 😉

Hamer at Coventry if we can finance it. Superb player who can even take a proper corner, unlike Emi. Set up the first three goals at Birmingham on Saturday.

Wonder if Tzolis will come to the party next season? If not the recruitment team have really stuffed that one up aswell

Problem is that Tzolis has showed nothing (other than doing well against Bournmouth's C team) every time he's been given a chance meanwhile we have Rowe who can play in the same place who has showed far more talent and potential

Would this guy suit our play style? Jarlan Barrera he's 26 and plays for Atletico National in Colombia. Allegedly out of contract in the summer according to two sources, Transfermarkt and the FM daterbase. I personally like him, very good dribbler. P.S. Mute it before you watch the video, if you want to save your ears.

That might be a killed confidence thing though, rather than a lack of talent.

I really don’t know why people keep saying we played Bournemouth’s b or c team, we didn’t .

I think he will, if he has settled and enjoying living here, being out of the squad makes it difficult to be happy, hopefully he will start contributing next season.

I'm not sure we've got a creativity problem in the Championship, particularly if Rashica stays. There are question marks over a few of these guys but most teams would kill for a line up of Dowell, PLM, Rashica, Tzolis, Rowe and Sargent in the Championship.

There is no doubt Rashica and Sargent can tear up the championship. Add in Dowel (in the middle maybe?) And you get Rowe coming in as a super sub..

Just a matter of sorting out the defence and midfield!

It is just the midfield really. Central defence particularly we're very strong.

Does anyone think we might need a CDM? Just a thought......

It's our main priority but not necessarily our first signing. 😀

Musialowski will probably make the senior squad next season so doubtful Liverpool will even let him go out on loan. He's a cocky little so and so. He amuses the senior players in training by nutmegging Van **** and practising counting in English when he does it.

But you never know as reportedly Lewa has been pushing him to get first team football before the World Cup.

Edit - there's something wrong with the world when the Liverpool centre half gets censored!

We should stop looking at creative players and pick 6ft4 lumps if we want to progress. Just like all the best teams do.

I think in key positions this is probably true. Watching Palace yesterday ut was notable their spine was full of big, physical players who weren't going to get pushed out of the game- Anderson, Guehi, Kouyate, Mateta, all big units. A brick ****house in central midfield might be just what we need.

Physicality is so important.

Man City are the shortest team in the league.

Man City can spend $$$$$ on the best players in the world though. We can't.

I agree about Rash, no probs whatsoever, but for me jury is still out that Sargent could tear up championship. I hope so though

This Norwegian chap,  Normann I think his name is would rip the Championship up. Not a specialist DM but plenty good enough for that league.

Might need a bit of persuasion though.
