Keith Scott's post match musings

Recommended Posts

Onel Hernandez is Yanic Wildschutt mk2. No end product, no football brain, will never cut it in the prem. As woeful as we were for the majority of that match you can guarantee we will see the same starting line up on Friday. Farke is allergic to proactive changes.

All the best. Keith Scott.

Welcome back Keith. How's the straw-clutching business going?

All the best, every other poster on here.

I can't be the only one who thinks Hernandez hasn't had a great 2 last games?

Maybe not but then neither have a few players. Hernandez has played a massive part this season with his goals and endless running and to compare him to Wildschut is pathetic.

If you want to pick on someone, pick on Pukki. He has missed several sitters in recent games and is nowhere near good enough for the PL. Games are often about who scores first and again today he missed two that he should have put away and we'd be in control of the game instead of chasing it after that dreadful penalty award to Wigan.

Harsh. Let’s give him the chance there to see what he can do ( Same was said about Grant Holt) and appreciate what he’s done this season eh?

If you want to pick on someone, pick on Godfrey. He has cost us several goals in recent games and is nowhere near good enough for the PL. Games are often about who scores first and again he gave up the first goal by not closing his man down and giving away the penalty - that follows close on going AWOL on Wednesday to gift the Reading striker a tap in.

If you want to pick on someone, pick on Krul. He has cost us several goals in recent games and is nowhere near good enough for the PL. Games are often about who holds onto a lead and again he gave up an equalizer by standing rooted to the spot when the Reading striker scuffed his shot into the net in the 97th minute. And today couldn't save a penalty anyone else would.

If you want to pick on someone, pick on Stiepermann. He has cost us several points in recent games by being mr big boots and is nowhere near good enough for the PL. Games are often about who controls possession and again he directly caused two goals for Reading with a terrible pass and wandering away from his man in the 97th minute who then scored. Those 2 points dropped could cost us promotion. He needs to go back to being Jamal Lewis's understudy at left back.

If you want to pick on someone, pick on Farke. He has cost us several wins in recently and is nowhere near good enough for the PL. Games are often about who matches up to opposition best but he refuses to change things when it's obvious to everyone that we have to drop the passengers and bring back Leitner, Vrancic and while we are at it, Srbeny for Rhodes,

In fact I think Webber will have to have a serious re-think this Summer about just who stays at the club. Of course we've just given Farke a new contract, and Alex Neil has just signed a new contract at Preston, so any change is going to be super expensive and we'll probably have to finance that by selling the only talent that we really have in the squad anyway.

Keith mate, you are right, we've been blinded to the truth all along.

Thanks for the replies guys. In the words of Alan Partridge, HOT. TOPIC. As always opinions will be taken on board. Genuine question though, does Hernandez realise he is allowed to use the inside of his boot? Ok he's got a bit more about him than Wildschutt but let's be honest every week it's head down, run, put the laces through it. No technique, no finesse, not gonna cut it in the prem. My 2nd genuine question, who expects to see Cantwell and McLean starting again on Friday?

All the best, Keith Scott.

The whole team had a really off day, seemed absolutely knocked. No authority in midfield and very few chances created.

An off day at the office but would hope for a couple of changes Friday as Sheffield Wed will not be easy as there is still an outside chance of the playoffs and after seeing them Against Leeds they look decent.

STILL FAR FROM OVER

PS to compare Wildschutt with Hernandez  is way off the mark

When you actually attend a game, your idiotic comments way have some weight. Until then, unfortunately for you and a few other critics, we are top of the league...………….

It’s interesting that Keith only used to come on this forum after a defeat but presumably he needed a distraction after the scum were relegated so a draw was enough of an excuse for him to post.

To be fair it's been so long since we've lost that poor ol' Keith is suffering from withdrawal symptoms and needed a fix. :classic_sad:

unlike others I think you are most welcome here

as it will be nice for some of us to keep abreast of what is going on in League 1

perhaps you could share that task with iron_stand, highland canary, and all your fellow pitch fork wavers

ps any idea of how many of your stands you will have open next season, as I hear Marcus has stated that one turnstile will be enough for each stand ?
