nutty nigel 7,534 Posted September 23, 2015 Here we go with week eight ofthis increasingly exciting Rays funds season. Last week I said we were due achange of luck and Bor & 93vintage, with another great effort from all youPUPs, added another£54 meaning we have raised £600 since the last presentation in March. I waschuffed with this. Not least because we’d met with the DS players on Saturdaymorning and it was obvious those girls and boys have taken us PUPs into theirhearts. I promised them more funding and you guys delivered just like youalways do. This week wehave Cityangel in charge of picking the final six matches. She’s been part ofPUPs since Ray’s time and I know she’s desperate to get her name on Ray’ssignature of fame. Diane is not just a top picker but also another who supportsus at presentations and meets. She was with us last Saturday and did a greatjob or representing all you PUPs who live away and can’t make these gettogethers. Diane’s been spending a lot of time getting this new fan’s socialclub up and running. She is really enthusiastic and I’m happy for any help Ican give her. She deserves the venture to be a success and I’m sure it will be.Just as I’m sure we will see Cityangel proudly displayed on Rays signature. Solet’s all try and make that happen this week by giving Diane our very bestselection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend and listed onthe William Hill or Bet365 web site. We have another PUPette with ClareW in charge and making the finalselections for the Norwich game away at West Ham on Saturday. Clare joined usthis season and has taken to these threads like a duck to water! She’s madesome great selections so far and I reckon she’ll be a great asset to us. I’vegot to know Clare a lot more because she has been working beside Diane with equalenthusiasm trying to get the fans social club established. She also deserves itto be a success and with these two ladies as the driving force I believe it will be.Believe it or not I didn’t plan for these two to be in charge together thisweek. It was pure chance after I had to make changes to the rota. But therehave been loads of happy coincidences on our threads over the years and I havea feeling that this is a really good omen. Good luck Clare, you can make up toten final selections from PUPs suggestions and your own for our match against WestHam. We have a tenner to spend and it’s up to you how you divide it up. If you’renot sure of anything just ask on here or message me. I made a mistake on the rota’s last week and had Swindon down to be incharge of both sets of selections next weekend. Although he’s capable I don’texpect him to do that. Apologies to Snake Eyes but it should be you next week. Please let me know with your selection. You too Winky. Here it is again : - Final six matches : -Oct 3rd - Swindoncanary - confirmedOct 10th - CD Mullins - confirmedOct 17th - Vindo - confirmedOct 24th - AJ - confirmedOct 31st - Feedthewolf - confirmed Norwich match : - Oct 3rd - Snake EyesOct 10th - Internationals Oct 17th - Van Wink Oct 24th - Norfolkbroadslim - confirmedOct 31st - Hammond - confirmed. We allstand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community SportsFoundation. Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted September 24, 2015 Chelsea will come good against a chaotic Newcastle, odds of 8/13 seem generous even considering their recent travails. For the Norwich match, half time West Ham, full time draw at 12/1 seems decent.Good luck one and all! Molly Windley 76 Posted September 24, 2015 Well done to Vintage 93 and Bor Bor Bor for their excellent sifting of PUP picks.Going through a bad trot with my picks so do feel free to ignore them.Portugese Premeira Liga - Monday game - Rio Ave vs Academia - home win at 5/8City bets are always tough to pick as there are few clues as to who will score and win/lose/draw odds offer little on single bets. Will stick with Brady to score as he likes a long shot (as do I with a bet) and couple that with a City win of 1-0 at 60/1Best of luck to CityAngel and ClareW
Hissing Sid 154 Posted September 24, 2015 Staying within these shores again this week and a Sunday offering from the ChampionshipMiddlesbrough v Leeds - Home WinAnd for the match bet, how about HT/FT Draw/Draw.Best of luck CA and Clare, and all you PUPs

Til1010 picked a HOME WIN for BARCELONA v Las Palmas. and for the Norwich bet....Mbokani to score at anytime. Kathy''s pick for Cityangel is Roma to beat Capri. and for Clare Howson to score anytime. All three wished Diane, Clare and all you PUPs the best of luck. I thin Tilly''s cleared off because we have the two girls in charge this weekend. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,220 Posted September 24, 2015 Let''s find another sexy away win, so with that in mind I''d love a plate of placebas a couple of pintxos and Moreirense vs Porto - away win @ 2/7Good luck Cityangel..you can do itParma
93vintage 16 Posted September 24, 2015 Going back to 2000/01, West Ham have only won four league games in a row on 4 occassions, including a 5 in a row in 2006 (3 were home games). At home they seem to have a okayish/mixed record, but haven''t had many draws after having had 2 in April. With the above in mind, a double chance on a Norwich win or draw @ 3/4 looks a pretty solid choice, the bet only loses if we lose the game. There could also be milage in backing a range of HT/FT''s which have Norwich win or draw at FT.A bread and butter bet would be West Ham to get most corners @ 8/15. Another would be over 1.5 goals @ 2/7.A small bet on Mbokani to score last and/or Brady anytime (he may well take the free kicks) would seem reasonable.Total cards is an interesting one, the Hammers have had 11 yellows plus 3 reds in 7 league and league cup games. With both teams looking to play football, and West Ham probably wanting to cool it a bit after getting 5 yellows in their last two, I''d stick a small amount on there being under 4.5 cards @ 4/6. A similar strategy would have paid off vs Liverpool.Good luck ClareW.
Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,220 Posted September 24, 2015 As for the Match bet, I think guarding against over-attacking over-confidence will be important this week. Not negativity, but retaining solidity with a regular threat. Feeling that Wes starting to enjoy shooting and scoring, so Wes to score a good bet (particularly as he takes penalties and we haven''t had one yet).So how about something very specific, such as Wes to score a penalty in a 1-1 draw?Parma
nutty nigel 7,534 Posted September 25, 2015 It''s a tough week. Good job we''ve got such a great team to help us through. I''m going down to the National League : - Wrexham v Eastleigh Home Win I like Jonny Howson to score anytime for the Norwich game.
Graham Humphrey 13 Posted September 25, 2015 This week, I''m heading into League One where I fancy second-from-top Walsall will beat second-from-bottom Crewe. For the Norwich bet, I think it could be a decent game so three or more goals to be scored seems quite likely.Good luck Diane, Clare (good to see you both last Saturday at the DS team''s training session) and all PUPs. CDMullins 436 Posted September 25, 2015 Having watched the last 2 Celta Vigo games, they are great value this week at Eibar,However I will not be risking the 100% record so will go ''safe'' with Man Utd.For the City Bet, Both Teams To Score looks a sure thing.Best of luck.
