Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 8

Recommended Posts

My friend ClareW looks to be a winner though, Norwich winning and Brady to score should net some cash, plus shes covered with a 2-2 draw, so thats good news.

Great picks and strategy from Clare. Finished with the best return of £30! Still feel disappointed we didn''t win but this is some consolation for West Ham''s late equaliser.

Diane, some weeks we are just not destined to win. As you say other fancied games would have let you down. I picked Wrexham who lost 3-2 at home to Eastleigh. I''m gutted for you but when we win it''s for all the PUPs who have been unlucky too.

I''ve got to go out noweut I''ll put Clare on Ray''s signature and update the totals when I get back.

What a team of PUPs we have!![Y]

Hard luck CityAngel, it only takes one bad result to lose an

accumulator. Well done Clare, good picks as a draw for the Hammers was

long overdue!I also note that the total cards came in well below

4.5 at odds of 4/6, so this could be a good stategy in games where one

or both sides has had a previous glut of cards (especially red ones).
Also a deserved shout to 93vintage who picked Inverness to beat Aberdeen at 3/1. What a super selection!
It was very nearly a draw according to the BBC match report. Maybe next season the selector ought to be given the power to turn at least one pick into a win or draw one at lower odds, with the suggester getting the original (ie higher) odds for league table purposes.

Well done again Clare. And thank you once again to PUPanon who funds the Norwich match bets. Clare''s win was the third week running we''ve had a return on this and the fourth all season. Add that to the three wins in the six game acca and that''s seven wins in the first eight weeks. Fantastic! Once again we have a superb team of PUPs this season.

So now I get to add Clare''s name to Ray''s ever increasing signature and update the totals : -

Well done Clare!

Cityangel, you didn''t have a chance. You found yourself in the selection seat on a weekend that was destined to be filled with upsets all over the place. I just finished watching the Dortmund game and, naturally, although I started out hoping they would win, I found myself in the strange position of rooting for the other team in the end. Darmstadt had worked their way up through a number of divisions and you could see the joy on their faces when they tied it up late.

On we go to next week.

Thanks Yankee, so disappointed that Borussia Dortmund, Walsall, Real Madrid, Chelsea let us down, thought they were certs. But glad I had the chance to do the picks ( and heard your voice lol ) I ll try my hardest to get my name on Rays signature next season, if I get another chance.

So glad that my friend Clare won, at least one of us old Biddy''s ( Lappin''s words) go it right.

Pleased I went for Man U for my pick at least they didn''t let me down lol

Really unlucky cityangel, I hope for a win every week, but I really wanted one for you, having been contributing to this thread for so long.

Clare, what absolutely superb picks. I''d forgotten you''d picked a 2-2 draw and I wasn''t just cursing that late late equaliser for Norwich''s sake, but I thought it had done for the PUPs too. But what a fabulous pick me up to see that you have added £30 to the pot!

As our friend Yankee said it was a weekend where we''d have needed a miracle to get a set of six results correct. 47 of our brave PUPs tried with just 23 correct and 1 void (50%). Between us we made 27 different suggestions from which just 14 were good and 1 void (54%). Even that doesn''t tell the whole story because three of the five most popular picks lost. (Dortmund, Chelsea, Carlisle).

Luckily Clare made some great selections for the Norwich game to cheer us all up.

After all that we still have two PUPs (Cosmic Twin and CD Mullins) with perfect records at the top of our PUPs league. That''s great going after 8 weeks. Norfolkbroadslim is right there with 7/7 putting the pressure on! Here''s the latest PUPs league showing those with at least 50% correct from at least half the available weeks : -
