1. Lennon would still be my first choice but I''d take Pulis over Adams. And as long as we win, I don''t care about style.
2. I agree with Simmo - Lennon would be the best choice to turn us round and get us out of this division.Just as importantly, his appointment would be a massive statement that we were serious about promotion. And as far as I am concerned Wolves was not game 1, it was game 6.  Neil Adams record stands at played 6, lost 5, drawn 1, won 0.Wolves was the easiest fixture Neil Adams has had so far - they were two divisions below us this time last year and we should have gone there and demonstrated that gulf in class.  We did not.We need a return to winning ways and at the moment I see no signs of that under Adams.I will be very happy to be proved wrong.
3. Ten, including last season''s games.Minimum objective => 10 points.Total so far => 1 point.Better win the next three.
4.
Un-acceptable is outside places 1-6 come the end of the season. We need to be challenging. I dont care what manager does it but we then need a solid nasty bastard to keep us there. We had a nasty bastard then got a nice guy, i fear we have another nice guy. Frankly only 3 things are important to me this year 1) Playoffs minimum2) Home win vs Binners3) Away win vs BinnersCouldnt give a toss how we go about this, although attractive winning football would certainly be a bonus.
Agree 100% with all of the above.
5. As a club we seem to have slipped into a "culture of acceptable failure" (or at least the board have). We appointed Hughton and were nearly relegated in his first season.  That apparently was acceptable, so we persisted with Hughton, even when the writing was on the wall early last season, we persisted with him.  The board only did the obvious thing when the crowd started throwing the clappers at him.Neil Adams was appointed until the end of the season, and we were relegated.  This apparently was also acceptable and we appointed him full time.We have just lost the first game of the season to a club who were two divisions below us last season and this also is apparently acceptable. So I am just wondering what level of failure would be unacceptable to the board or the majority of fans?I remember one of the views expressed by those who didn''t want Lennon was that he is apparently "a nasty piece of work".  I don''t care two hoots whether he''s nasty or nice.  He seems to have a very low tolerance for failure, and an ambition to coach at the highest level.  If getting Norwich back into the PL and keeping us there for a season or two was his stepping stone to a bigger club in the PL or abroad that would be fine with me.
6. I agree completely Indy. We''ll be of much less interest to someone like Lennon (or Zola or Malky) once the transfer window has shut, and Adams has got us into the mire.
7. @AndyCanary and the other optimists on this thread - I really hope you''re right.I will be happy to admit I was wrong if you are.Frankly I''d take survival right now if it was on available. For me the message that Adams appointment sends out is that we have no real ambition, not even in the Championship. If we had appointed Lennon or Malky it would have been a sign that we were hungry for success, and a team to be feared.I think the perception now is we look more like relegation fodder than promotion candidates.  This matters - it makes it harder to keep and attract good players and opponents will have greater confidence when playing us.Unless we have a good pre - season and a storming start to the league (say 10 straight wins), then the danger is that the perception becomes the reality and we wind up back in League 1.I do hope I''m wrong.
8. I don''t think that selling Holt got us relegated, but not replacing him as both a leader on the pitch and a goalscorer is certainly one of the major errors which have contributed to our plight.I would have kept him as club captain and tried to incorporate him into the coaching structure. On the pitch I think we''d have got 5 - 10 goals out of him this season, plus a much needed injection of backbone in key games.  At the very least our goal difference would look better.
9. So if beating West Ham spared Hughton the sack, then that victory was a mortal self - inflicted wound and it has relegated us.
10. I think had we replaced Hughton at the time with anyone or anything else such as a stuffed alligator or the "inanimate boron rod" somebody suggested on another thread, we would have more points than we do now.
11. I think it would be a very brave decision for McNally to stay.If he does then he needs to ensure that he does not become the issue, and the only way that I can see that working is if he can adequately explain keeping CH for as long as he did, when everyone except the (b)inners could see that CH was the problem.
12. No.  I won''t boo the team, but I would pay good money to see Hughton and McNally dragged through the streets of Norwich and then placed in the stocks.
13.
England. Most of us will see Norwich relegated/promoted several times in our lives. An England WC win is pretty much a once in a life time thing - at best.
NCFC Safety. In any case England will never win anything unless and until the FA makes the success of the England team something that matters to the Premier League.
14.
Hopefully a repeat of Man City away last season after sacking Mancini and having nothing to play for. The united players are not going to be playing with the same level of desire that our players will be. and with no manager and no desire for Europa league on a Thursday night that will hinder their league campaing we should see this as a boost.
I''d rather that they felt that they had nothing to play for and a truly inept performance would see Moyes sacked!I don''t want them playing their hearts out for Giggs.
15. Frankly I''d like to inflict the nightmare team of Moyes & Hughton on Ip5w1ch.On long contracts so that they couldn''t afford to sack them. That should get them relegated to the outer darkness of the conference.
16. Hopefully they''ll have the good grace to allow us to deliver the fatal blow and then sack him.@Waveney - Paul Lambert is not coming back.  You need to move on.
17. I like those stats better than the Fulham stats. If it''s clutching at straws then they are quality straws - thank you LDC.If we can score first then we may just squeak it.  I''d settle for a point, but a win would be golden. We need to make more noise than we''ve made all season and keep it up for the full ninety minutes.
18. I think RvW''s problem is that we''ve not used him in the right way.I think he''s a six yard box poacher.  Nothing wrong with that, a lot of the top scorers are.  But they can''t do the job alone. What we need is a big strong target man that RvW/Hooper/Becchio can play off and/or a midfield who can supply the crosses or through balls into the box. That''s why at the moment, the first name on my team sheet would be Elmander because he''s the closest thing that we have to a target man, and the second name would be Hoolahan as he''s the most likely to create something for the strikers. As for psychology, I think the whole club - board / management / players / fans need the certainty of knowing what division we''re in next season and then some time off to plan.  The world cup will be a welcome distraction.
19.
Currently they screw up get paid shed loads of compensation get another job and it starts all over again.
You''re right, it is appalling. You''d never see bankers or politicians carry on like that...oops!
20.
Theres so much dribble on the Sun, suprised you can ever open the pages.
I''ve always found it curious that some people go for a paper that''s a blend of low grade porn and even lower grade news.
21.
I agree my plastic friend. The Messiah will be back at the Carra
Microsoft ditching Windows for Linux is more likely.
22. The problem I have with this line up is lack of physical presence.  It''s a relegation six pointer so it''s fair to assume things may get a little spicy. At the moment Elmander is the closest thing we have to a big striker who can hold the ball up and mix it with the opposition. So I''d prefer to see us start with him as target man (or at least have him on the bench in case). But an attacking formation with a diamond in midfield - bring it on!
23. WLLLD or, if we''re really lucky and Man U continue to shaky at home...WLDLD
