Norwich City / Penalties
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to unique's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Manure have a good tactic - take the man out just after he has passed the ball and is nowhere near the penalty box - happened at least twice yesterday, and that was just on the highlights. -
Mourinho gone
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to Lessingham Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Something weird is happening; I find myself agreeing with LDC more and more, and I only had sparkling water at our Christmas lunch today, honest. -
Lack of guts and nous last 15-20 mins
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to grefstad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I am disappointed to have not made the top three in Grefstad''s useless posters. I must try harder, or should that be less? -
TV Schedule change
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to King Klose's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Apart from an early season win against Burnley, and a home draw with Birmingham, ITFC have lost to most of their rivals, form which will see them finish outside the play-offs this season. It would seem that Evan''s is now publicly saying that he was misled when he bought into the club and the chances of him stumping up more money seem slight. Many more years in the Championship is the best they can hope for, so it is no wonder their attendances are so low. Last year really was their best chance for the foreseeable future, but let us not dismiss their decline; there are things we can learn from their plight. I believe that we have been better managed - especially at the level above manager, but I think it will be many years before we can say how much of our success has been down to luck. -
barge in the back !
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to SwindonCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think that the barge in the back on Hoolahan was , by the letter of the rules, a penalty, but in the context of where it was in the area and what Hoolahan could have done with the ball had he made the header, being surrounded by Arsenal players, I think the ref got it right. Could he have given a freekick in that situation? But who gives freekicks in the penalty area any more, except for a deliberate backpass, and that seems to have fallen away too? -
AN seen deep in thought

Was he having "a serious think"? -
NCFC spin

Are the P of D and Wiz two separate sentient beings? Isn''t Watford being run as part of a Ponzi Scheme? -
I have reached the point that I am now not worried about selling Redmond, but not in January. He is frustrating - when he comes on as a sub we wonder why he didn''t start the game, and when he starts the game we wonder why he wasn''t used as an impact sub.

sisters
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to Kidderminster Exile's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I read it as "Can''t leave Sister alone." -
If my memory serves me well, Mike Riley was one of the worst refs of his generation - weak and cowardly.

Fabio Quagliarella
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to McLovin's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m pretty certain that under other circumstances he would be interested, but unfortunately he is allergic to the colour Pink - it makes him feel sick, which is pretty much the same reaction I have as well. -
Lennon and McCarthy
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The Binners won''t mind losing, after all they''ve always got their Yesterday years, which they want to Get Back to. -
He''s already put your number in his little black book. One more foul and you''re off.

The away trip has already been made special for me, pinkun legend Waveney Canary just came over and introduced himself.
Morty, can you get his autographs for me? [:)]
Has there ever been made an autograph book which would be big enough? -
Have we ever been good from corners tho.
The best we''ve ever had was Martin Peters, either ghosting into the centre or those angled flicks at the near post.

The ghost of Michael Theoklitis

Like against Colchester he seems to have gone missing again, or is it my windows 98 computer which is the problem? -
Ok, own up! Who done it?
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Police are also seeking a Mr John Deere and a Mr David Brown in relation to the incidents. They said that they had had to "Marshall their resources to pull off a Class act". Mr Bishop, or Spanky as he is known to his friends, has vowed not to re-of-Fent, claiming he could not a-Ford the fine, and that he was leaving Suffolk to make a fresh start in New Holland with his girlfriend Allis Chalmers. -

It gives a whole new meaning to "Three Point Linkage" ,"Ball Hitch" and "Power Take Off Shaft". -
Another Escapee from the TWTD Nuthouse!
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to OldRobert's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think they would be mad to get rid of MM - he has done a good job with very limited resources. Who do they think they can get in who would do a better job? They need a 7 year plan which is based on playing attractive football and making a profit - is there a club they could use as a role model? -
Jerome is a championship striker
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to Dean Coneys boots's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I am sure that AN tells Jerome the same thing every week in training. His role is to score all our goals so we don''t have to rely on our mid-fielders and defenders scoring goals to keep us up. Actually I don''t know why AN doesn''t play Russell Martin up front as he seems to know where the back of the net is. -
We should be thankful
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to Stylish Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I seem to remember reading that Liverpool has the most Georgian buildings of any city in the country after London - a reflection of the city''s role in the slave trade. -
Poor old Binners
Trevor Hockey's Beard replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Surely this posed no threat to their fans as, if you''re served up with $hit for years, you build up immunity to E. Coli, and they''ve had a belly full of that for... how many years? 14?
