  1. The Brondby one - shock news at 3.45 Pukki scores with a header.
  2. We should have a song for when we are awarded a penalty - something like "Another one bites the dust."? "Sorry seems to be the hardest word"? "Miss you nights."?
  3. Descendants of those Cossacks now play for ITFC and Blackburn.
  4. Some good points, Unique, but I have to take issue with your message title. The Charge of The Light Brigade was a stupid mistake, or series of mistakes, leading to a brigade of cavalry, unsupported by infantry, charging Russian artillery, which was supported by infantry. Add to this that the Cavalry was armed with lances and you have a recipe for disaster. The role of cavalry was changing by then, due to the improvement in infantry firepower, as can be seen by the role of cavalry in the soon tom follow American Civil War. In the ACW cavalry was used to make sweeping raids behind the enemy to disrupt lines of supply, or as fast moving mounted infantry to seize strategic positions, at which point the cavalry would dismount and fight on foot. Anyway back to the topic. A more appropriate military metaphor might be "BlitzKrieg"
  5. We already do quite a lot of coaching in some of the schools in Ips$it, which the forum fans aren't too pleased about, so maybe we're rubbing their noses in it enough - fans have long memories, and hold grievances for a long time.
  6. He really has dug himself into a hole on this one. He is still saying that he stands by everything which happened, which I would have thought should mean the fine is increased. I thought prisoners are not allowed out until they admit guilt - he should stay on the naughty step in the stands until he says sorry. He really has set a new benchmark for being Classless. I really hope that Karma is real, and working on a spectacular payback for PL.
  7. Things changed for Huddersfield when Webber left. If he'd stayed how many of Leitner, Trybull , Stieperman, Pukki and Buendia might they have signed by now?
  8. The point is that there's several options outlined in the Tifo piece, and I'm sure we're drilled to change tactics if things aren't working. If needs be the change is made at halftime, which is why we have had so many better second halves.
  9. I think it's a bit like stalking one's ex on Facebook - there's a pain and a feeling of injustice which we just can't get over, and we're secretly hoping someone else will now dump them.
  10. Simon Hooper would have awarded a free-kick for dangerous play (high foot).
  11. Things are the other way round this time for him. In 2009 he inherited a Championship side playing in League 1, whereas this time he has a League 1 side playing in the Championship. He took over a side in 2009 with Drury, the Doc, Nelson,Grant Holt, Wes, Chris Martin, McVeigh, Lappin, and Darel Russell in the squad. He, or Culverhouse, got them playing as a team, but he had good players to start with. Agent Hurst has ensured that Lambert is facing the toughest challenge of his career, with the poorest (or biggest) tools.
  12. I'm pretty sure they'll pass the 23 points mark, and might even win the odd game, probably once they're relegated and the pressure is off. It's not impossible, theoretically, for them to escape the drop, but the reality is that they have no chance of gaining 10 more points than Reading and Rotherham with 13 games left. So where will they be then? relegated with a bloated squad of not very good players. Lambert would have done better to look to their Under 23 squad and start building for League 1 when he came in. Another question I've not seen raised before is how much is Lambert being paid, and can they afford him in League 1? He is unlikely to have a relegation clause in his contract....is he? I feel torn - I usually don't like to watch as someone disintegrates before my eyes, but this is Lambert and I think I can make an exception in his case.
  13. No clever tactics from the Classroom, Hey, Cloggers, Leave our kids alone.
  14. Has this man been drinking? I know - how about he comes back for 2 years and plays for free, to justify all the money he got from us for doing sweet FA. No mention that his highest rating in Top Trumps is for Fighting and getting sent off.
  15. Has PL given his players a list of Derby playmakers to kick?
  16. This is priceless. After the match he claimed someone came into his technical area, but the footage clearly shows all the action taking place to the left of the players' tunnel, in-front of the Norwich bench. Nor did anyone run 30 yards anywhere before he kicked off - there wasn't time. I'd say that he needs to be careful, as he is clearly deluded, and what he says can be construed as lying, so surely he is guilty of bringing the game into disrepute? Classless.
  17. Nothing to fear in Aldeburgh, there's hardly any locals there - they can't afford to live there. Aldeburgh is inhabited by a herd of smug, arrogant ex-Londoners, who's default pose is to stand there looking down their noses. They'll watch the "rugger"while sipping their G'n'Ts at the Yacht Club or in the 19th Hole, but "Football? Oh dear, how NOCD." Not Our Class Dear. Do I sound bitter?
  18. I was going to raise this. The footage from the Riverend direction would seem to show that Knudsen jumped into Teemu when he could have avoided him. Luckily he just bounced off Teemu, who is stronger than he looks. What a bunch of ungracious, small-minded League One players. I don't wish the injury on Sears, but it is hard not to use the word "Karma".
  19. To show who has the Class in East Anglia we should all wish Freddie Sears well and a speedy recovery.
  20. Total waste. Now they've got Lambert he could do his Canute act and just say: "I'm not having that water coming into my technical area." and the jobs a good'un. NB Lambert's a total Canute.
  21. It is a general rule that the more someone is wrong about something, the more strongly they argue that they are right. Of all the classy options PL has had whenever he comes back to Carrow Road, he invariably chooses none of them. His behaviour yesterday was thuggish and suggests a brain scan might be advisable to see whether heading the ball during his playing career has caused some brain damage.
  22. DF spoke about class, and he was spot on. Lambert showed his true nature today, and it wasn't pretty.
