  1. Well, BR, I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread of you, seemingly, rambling to yourself! 😂😉
  2. Godfrey was my MOTM yesterday. I thought he did brilliantly in the air against some big Stoke players. I remember seeing this run and we were all cheering for it at mine. It's quite incredible and credit to Farke for recognising the potential of turning him into a proper beast at CB!
  3. Don't worry about that. These lot are going one way and that's further down the leagues! Lambert will likely get sacked after about two months... haha!
  4. Well, yes, kind of what I was getting at with the second part of my post! I imagine that he looks pretty damn good against defenders at his age level who perhaps haven't quite bulked up enough yet, but put him in against some of the Championship's humungous defenders and I doubt he'd get much change out of them, despite seemingly looking as though he will develop into a VERY physical player. Ie. He's already pretty big for his age.
  5. The guy looks absolutely nothing like Fletcher!! 😂
  6. I agree that Idah looks a really exciting prospect but there must be a reason that he hasn't found himself on the bench for us yet. I would suggest that Farke and co know all about his potential but don't feel he's quite there yet and able to step up to the challenges of the Championship
  7. Not strictly correct. Tettey actually used to have the best pass completion percentage out of all of our midfielders. Both last season and earlier this season too I believe. He doesn't go for the glory balls, mind. These will be short accurate passes, keeping things ticking over in midfield which is what his job is.
  8. This would also suggest that people aren't that sure about Kenny, yet he put a lovely ball through for Pukki's equaliser. I don't think he's been brilliant in the past few games, but assists like that prove he has something to offer.
  9. Probably been said (this thread is TL;DR) but it's not easy for Todd to step in, after not playing for some time, and then try and replicate the work Buendia has been doing in that position. Emi had been our best player over the 8 game winning streak and before that too probably! Was always going to be tough for Cantwell to make any kind of mark after those performances from Emi. But, like a number of people are saying, getting on his back won't help anyone. OTBC!
  10. Always thought that Judge was a bloody pr1ck and an ar$e and this has fully confirmed it 🤪
  11. Gave us one of the best memories in recent times, with the play off final win but can't really say there was much more than that. KC is right about transfers... He was terrible at picking players and paid well over the odds for them! Perhaps more the board's fault for handing out huge contracts, but Neil oversaw these signings and we're still paying for one or two of them now! He seemingly had no ability to develop players and he didn't trust in youth, instead preferring seasoned veterans who, for the most part, were useless for us. One thing I will say is that he gives the most dull interviews after a match and always looks completely pi$$ed off whether his team has won or not... Take from that what you will!
  12. Did you actually read my post properly? I said I wouldn't get worried about him being out and neither should anyone else. Plus, Stevenage... Really? We changed pretty much the entire side for that game against lowly opposition. As it is, probably should have been mildly concerned about Emi being out as there were times last night that we were crying out for his creativity and, perhaps more importantly, his tackling and tracking back ability (which Todd doesn't do anywhere near as well). Oh yeah. And we didn't win.
  13. I think we'll be alright, as I can see that it got through the swear filter...
  14. I honestly can't believe people are moaning after a draw. A comeback from losing until the 85th minute to nearly go on and win?? I can't wait to see what the reactions are like when we get tonked by Man City, Liverpool etc. should we reach the promised land (which, I'm going to say, we most likely will). When was the last time we lost a game? It was so long ago I can barely remember... Oh yes... It was wee Alex getting one over on us. But we're SIX points clear at the top of the table when none of us really expected anything from this season. Those moaning should probably take a bit of a look at themselves. (I do want to get Vrancic or Leitner back in the side though...)
  15. Not won a single game without Emi in the side... Interesting isn't it? No. Not really. I am not going to take that stat and start getting worried about it! Reading can be a good side on their day, as can any side in the Championship. All I hope is that the crowd tonight doesn't go completely flat if Reading score first, score two, or if we're playing poorly. The team needs our vocal support now more than ever! I'm looking forward to it and am certainly not underestimating Reading... as I don't underestimate any other team we play! OTBC!
  16. Yeah, I believe the one you're thinking about happened in 2001
  17. Can't stand Simon Jordan either, but I think he has a point! I'm sure the binners will all be calling him out as a 'has been' or whatever but he knows football. Marcus Evans clearly doesn't!
  18. I just looked at the title of this topic and immediately thought "Dear God, no! Don't even mention his name as a potential signing for us!" He didn't have a bad season tbf. I saw him make one particularly amazing save earlier on in the season. But I don't think there's any chance we'll be looking at bringing him in.
  19. Nope... Not the one I'm on about! https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/adam-drury-testimonial-norwich-2-857707
  20. Remember when Celtic fans travelled en mass to come to the Drury testimonial? Most of them weren't actually at the game, they just showed up to run riot around the city. Pretty sure they covered most of POW Road in a huge Celtic flag. It's a shocking sight, in all honesty, and I agree with FTW... I wouldn't want to see the moronic Leeds fans (for the most part they are idiotic, although I do know some nice Leeds fans) causing ridiculous amounts of trouble... even in Ipswich. The Leeds fans are some of the worst I've experienced coming to Carrow Road. Smashing things up and leaving a right old mess in their wake. I don't get why they feel the need to do this. I sincerely hope they drop out of the running altogether. It would make me chuckle quite heartily.
  21. I don't think we have anyone in the side with the same levels of creativity and energy of Emi. He does it all, doesn't he? However, I still firmly believe we'll have enough to put in good performances in the next three games and perhaps win all of them. Who can stop us at the moment? Certainly not Reading and Wigan, in my mind! Sheff Weds may be more tricky.
  22. Yeah can't see why we wouldn't still try and bring in another 'keeper. Henderson was mentioned. I'd be happy with that. Likely to be a loan too, so the financial side shouldn't be a problem. All depends on Sheff Utd, I'd guess! But, if he did come in, Man Utd would want him to play pretty much every game, I'd imagine.
  23. I imagine it might be because we see him as one of the next to come through. Currently on loan at Dordrecht isn't he? Fits with the profile of sending those on the fringes of the first team out to get vital experience in other leagues (as we did with Todd)
  24. Sky Sports site seems to be down... Can't get a connection but working elsewhere. That's a pain! Wanted to have a read.
