  1. Seems Hanley is generally held in relatively low esteem here. I think he's still got it. If injuries dictate he is one of our starting centre backs this season, I've got faith that he'll retain his place for a fair while.
  2. I read this is their 4th preseason game so I wasn't even that concerned when we were off the pace earlier. Re: Louis, I was surprised he got that new contract, whenever it was last year - until 2022. Blimey that bloke has had some bad luck, and now it's starting to look less like luck and more like fate.
  3. Seems there's an official stream. Excellent news: https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2019/july/watch-live-dsc-arminia-bielefeld-v-norwich-city/
  4. I'd be happy with a Klose / Godfrey pairing, but I've always gotten the impression that Farke has earmarked the CBs into two groups. i.e. More physical centre backs (Hanley / Zimmerman) and more ball-playing centre backs (Godfrey / Klose), so I wouldn't be surprised to see Hanley start if he impresses in pre-season (and no-one else joins).
  5. I doubt it's that he wants to move away, probably just wants a better / longer contract than the club has currently offered.
  6. Blasphemy. Wash your mouth out with soap and Warsteiner and say 10 Hail Farkes.
  7. Has this already been posted? Apologies if so. If you skip to the last 20 or so saves, he looks bloody good. Really quick feet too, so can see why Farke would be after him. Will certainly give Krul a run for his money.
  8. Hi All, Just found out I'd been debited £50ish for the reduced ifollow service after they sent a (singular) sneaky "if you don't get in touch with us we're going to charge you" email to me that I didn't notice. Cheeky sods. Just passing it on, in case it's happened to anyone else and they need to check their account (assuming you don't want or need the service this season).
  9. Lots of absolutes in this thread. Only a Sith deals in absolutes. (bold for ironic emphasis). 'Virtue signalling' is often used by sunburnt people with union jack tattoos for deriding people showing legitimate compassion that they themselves don't feel. It's also used by poseurs who in reality couldn't give a flying @rse about anyone or anything else other than their social media fortunes/appearance, so I see both sides of this uninteresting debate (pm thoughts and prayers) In short, I don't care about the shirt sponsor. There are laws against children betting already, and if any adult is sufficiently influenced to bet based on a shirt sponsor, and then subsequently becomes a gambling addict, I'm not willing to ignore the large swathe of personal responsibility that they themselves have abdicated in getting to that stage (that's not to say support shouldn't be provided after the fact, for all addicts).
  10. Missed his last penalty though (against England), so we're not making progress in that department. Disgrace. Webber / Farke out.
  11. Won't Ifollow (via VPN) work again?
  12. He just tucked away a penalty - cool as a cucumber (hate that phrase, already regret typing it). Idah for designated penalty taker next season!
  13. You think Passlack would sign for our U23s? Damn, I used up my toll. Guess I'm stuck in this thread now until Dayman shows up.
  14. You all bit. I'm keeping my troll toll for the next bridge.
  15. That doesn't necessarily mean its not the actual take. I've got performance vids on youtube, and when uploaded it does weird things with the complex sections / faster notes where it looks like they're not even being played. Something something upload rate / codecs, or whatever.
  16. The culture wasn't "there for him" here either, but he quickly sorted that out. Given the same authority, there's no reason why he would assume he couldn't do the same at Man Utd. Of course, given the job he's done I'd much prefer he stayed, but it's not like he hung about at Huddersfield when a 'better offer' came along. If Man Utd are serious, he'll go, IMO.
  17. https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2019/may/carlton-morris-signs-new-contract-and-joins-rotherham-united-on-loan/ big show of faith from the club - best of luck Carlton. He's overdue some!
  18. I'm more than happy for him to stay as well. He's been a good player for us and is still young for a CB. Whether he is happy to stay is a different matter, however.
  19. Good stuff. Glad he's on board.
  20. An honest admission OP, but there's little logic behind it: We support Norwich, most of us because we live/lived nearby, a few exile fans because of family, and even fewer overseas fans because of seeing us on TV, etc. If our allegiance is to 'Norwich City' and only us, then why draw the line at feeling disenfranchised with players from outside of the UK, Grant Holt was from Cumbria, heck, even Todd is from Dereham - an interloper! Perhaps we should only have players who were born within NR1 postcode? I'm being a tad facetious here, but I've noticed the lack of logic in supporting your "local football team" for a long time, and it's one of the few completely illogical things I'll let myself do without reprimand. So, in short, it's all a load of rubbish, and nationalism is even more so - taking pride because of someone else's achievements because they were born on the same lump of rock as you. PS - not intended as an attack, just a discussion. PPS - Meant to add, am aware could be troll, in which case, I rate it 5/7 - perfect score.
  21. Why does Gary Doherty have more hair now than in 2009?
  22. Kenny on the buckfast already. Good (typically Scottish) lad.
