  1. A fully fit Dean Ashton would be first choice striker for any Norwich team IMO, and would bring the guile / finesse needed for a Farke team, with enhanced physicality. Sutton runs him a close second (although there's no argument that Sutton achieved much more), and in the days of playing two up top a Sutton / Pukki, or Ashton / Pukki front two would have been LETHAL.
  2. Definitely don't agree. He gets nosebleeds any higher up the pitch than 35 yards out.
  3. That's not the point the OP was making, so this is a point in bad faith.
  4. I'm a wholehearted supporter of Farke ball... but when we're one down and there's 15 seconds left of extra time, just get a couple of bodies in the box and #@'/ing lump it, instead of going backwards, almost entirely pointlessly. (I say 'almost' as I accept that retaining possession means we can't be 2-0 down...)
  5. Skipp is truly excellent defensively. He's also surprisingly good at dribbling at speed for a supposedly defensively-minded anchor type player. The elephant in the room is (IMO) his passing / forward play. Definitely needs improvement, and I've seen little of that since his first start. This might turn out to be a good thing, as until he improves this, I'd be very surprised if he contested for a place in Tottenham's squad next season, meaning we might get another loan.
  6. Took some pelters for suggesting he'd be a good fit for a Farke side a couple of seasons ago. SMUG MODE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED. PS - mind you, I said the same thing about Naismith.
  7. As always, Middlesbrough are a bunch of dreary cloggers who don't even deserve the time it takes to make the observation. Nothing to see here - they can enjoy the championship next season - if they're lucky.
  8. Total ****. Conned the referee. Cheating arses, typical Middlesborough,
  9. Lol, Hugill has scored twice as many times as he's controlled the ball this match. Long may it continue!
  10. Good one (genuinely), but to be fair to him, he was essentially poleaxed from behind by that (bournemouth?) player. How that didn't yield a booking at least is beyond my comprehension.
  11. I've heard from my pal in Manchester that we're in for Jesse Lingard on loan, paying 40% of his wages. Just kidding.
  12. Strange, I thought they got loads wrong, although mostly incidental stuff (throw ins, etc).
  13. Very evidently not a City fan, which is an important distinction to make (at least on a norwich city forum, as it appears the article doesn't). I doubt he's even a UK citizen. Just some bell#nd gambler with the emotional maturity and IQ of an ameoba.
  14. He was also our only player to have tested positive thus far, isn't he? I wonder if the two are related?
  15. You're presenting a false dichotomy to a complex situation. You seem like a perfectly reasonable person, so I'm surprised you view this (extremely complex and nuanced) issue as so black and white (no pun intended). There aren't just "opposed" and "for" views, there are a myriad of shades of grey inbetween, and even extremes of both "for" and "opposed".
  16. "not joining in" is not "publicly opposing". That's an insane statement to make.
  17. Cantwell reminding me of prime Hoolahan at the moment. Been very impressed. He's done the dirty side well too.
  18. I've got a bit of sympathy for him, so hopefully he's on the mend. Can you imagine prematurely giving up a lucrative career as a professional sportsman in a healthy frame of mind? Duff transfer for us, but being that the success rate is pretty high for our transfers recently, I feel no need for sour or even indifferent grapes, even if he is talking boll#cks about Norwich the place.
  19. Pukki on another planet. Criminally too good to be playing in the championship. How lucky are we?
  20. I'm not touching the emotive subject matter within this thread with a bargepole because it's not worth the hassle, I will however state my belief that no-one should be banned for booing (regardless of whether they boo taking the knee, or an opponent diving). It's a non-violent way to voice dissent, and if you remove the ability to dissent, then you are asking for much MUCH bigger problems from the potential 'mindless few' than a few disgruntled jeers.
  21. I hate to say it, but I am struggling to remember a norwich striker with a worse first touch than Hugill. Makes me nostalgic for Chris Brown.
