  1. Looks like Kenny is acclimatising to playing a slightly different role, as you're both right - he has been unusually quiet.
  2. Agreed, but Gibson had a long time out injured and may yet improve. At least there's serious competition now.
  3. Yeh, thought he did quite well. Lost his head a bit second half after the disallowed goal, but reigned it back in just in time.
  4. Can't fault the effort, and I don't even think the mindset was bad either. Without the spot of bad luck in the 2nd goal we could have had a point - maybe deserved one too. Plus, this isn't Leicester from the championship days, this is recent Prem, ier League winners Leicester, so worth bearing in mind for perspective. That said, am gutted, and bit downcast about our chances of staying up after this.
  5. add Rashica to that too. I get it that creative players can't create on demand, but at least look like you're trying.
  6. Am simple man. See Bottom quote. Like Bottom quote.
  7. I missed about 2 minutes I reckon. I'm satisfied I don't need your approval. Have a pleasant day.
  8. I was actually. Had to duck out to deal with some 'rona related issues, hence my caveat. Also I didn't suggest I had a solution - but trying anything would be preferable to continual 1 way traffic. I merely pointed out that the first 30 minutes were not good enough, regardless of our premier league opposition, which I stand by. I suppose at least we've improved a little now, but that's not saying much. Hope Farke works some magic, too many heads dropped after that first goal, and it's a bit early in the season for that to happen for my liking.
  9. Last week, I'd buy the bad luck. This week, I'm not buying it. We've been streamrollered by man city, with zero response (thus far).
  10. We haven't crossed the halfway line in control of the ball once in this match that I've seen. I don't care who the opposing team is, if you're still in the literal same league, that isn't good enough.
  11. That was pathetic for 2-0. 11 men behind the ball. Everyone switched off.
  12. If the Williams thing is true, it points heavily to the likelihood that we expect Aarons to go this window. If it's for the right price (widely quoted 20 mil +), then fair enough.
  13. Playing the actual post: 1) His main attributes are his athleticism, so fair enough - rating someone is subjective anyway so it will vary from person to person / club to club. 2) Rupp could look decent in a better side as a 'water carrier', but if tasked with being a creator in a struggling side, I'd tend to agree with you. 3) Dunno, wasn't there. TV broadcasts are not always the most representative of the sound in the ground. 4) There were similarities. But definitely more depth and physically-dynamic players on the bench. Result was ****e, but squad is shaping up better than last season IMO. We just need some of that effing luck that seems to have totally deserted our premier campaigns of late.
  14. I am sick to the back teeth of Lpool benefitting from lucky ricochets against us, always crucial first two goals as well, just like the 4 -1 at Anfield.
  15. Christ, I was signing him from Birmingham (was it?) in Champ Manager 2004 or something. I'm surprised he's still alive, let alone playing. Shows how out of touch I am I suppose.
  16. I suspect he's talking about their ability to play out of tight areas of the pitch, at which they're both great at, just that my mate Tom always looks like he's running through treacle when out of position (which wasn't that often, tbf). I'd have him as back up no question, provided that no toys are thrown out of the pram and he maintains a good attitude. The likelihood of us finding a technically better reserve / back up DM / DLP player with our budget is pretty low I think.
  17. I read the above words the wrong way round, and thought blimey, that's a bit risqué, but good on her.
  18. It's not even the shortfall to the club's transfer fund (which was an entirely predictable consequence of the furore) that concerned me most at the time. It was people advocating for people to lose their actual jobs (i.e. their income, in a global pandemic!), under the guise of 'compassion'. I found the whole situation entirely baffling, and concerning. I have sympathies for people who feel upset by things, and am not inclined to judge whether they lack resilience, or whether something truly terrible has happened to them, but the disconnect between "empathy for how this makes ME feel (the furore)' vs 'empathy for how my demands make other people feel (calling for people to be sacked)' is a bit frightening.
  19. Wait, people are taking OP seriously? Seems an obvious troll post to me? "Absolute horror"? About signing a goalkeeper who was close to our player of the season 3 years ago? I tend to save my usage of 'absolute horror' for things like genocide or 9/11 etc. "Is there a worse signing than Angus.."? Yes. Yes, there is.
  20. This just in: I heard from a reputable source that we're reconsidering signing an actual footballer and instead are promoting in-house from the club's catering department, as we need someone to put something on a plate for Pukki next season.
