1. okay , so to put the boot on the other foot - If NCFC were playing a friendly at the Lane and you got tickets for the home areas would you keep schtum . I have a major problem with Norfolk based "supporters" of Premier League teams - If you live and were brought up in Norfolk then your team will be either Norwich or Kings Lynn - If you " support " any other team then you are not a Football supporter in the true sense of the word I am taking my 8 year old son and he is really excited to see Norwich and the new signings - he really is not fussed that Woodgate etc are likely to play and that is the way it should be I would not argue with any spurs fans in Norwich areas - unless they had a norfolk accent - If they can get to a friendly , then they can support their local team on other occasions
2. we were bullied far to often - nice old norwich , decent football but no stomach for a fight - which is generally what the championship is - we need an enforcer and we also need a whinger to get at the ref - all the successful teams have one  If we can compete physically , then we are getting there
3. my son is 8 and a City nut , he has the kit and is normally the only one at his team training with the NCFC kit on . He goes to reserves regularly and goes on the FITC courses as well , my 15 year old daughter is also football daft , but my 11 year old hates it  The bot does have a MAn Utd shirt ( bought with his own birthday money ) but He is restricted when he can wear it   When my daughter was small we went to Toys r us in i****** , - Norwich didn''t have one then - and on the bus she pipes up " daddy are we in the place you don;t like yet " -  you cannot buy those moments
4. dyslexics of the world Untie The devil worshipping dyslexics worship Santa
5. as we were at Villa Park in the other semi when Hillsborough happened , probably hit home a bit harder . I did wonder wehether Liverpool would have carried on in the FA Cup that season ahd we won and there was no dream Merseyside Final
6. WE went on a Club Canary Double Decker that was nicked for speeding on teh way back , Great day but a bit of an anti climax - I much preferred the semi final for excitement and emotion . The 11,000 NCFC fans at portaloo , the atmosphere at the home leg , the pitch invasion - the way everybody at school was suddenly a norwich fan and when you said you had tickets for the SCum games and then the final itself , made you some kind of hero  Semi in 89 was great until about 3.15 and in 1992 , I cried my eyes out ( 22 at the time ) knew what an opportunity we had missed
7. i go to football to WATCH my team - I shout encouragement and moan when necessary - I have no urge to sing continuously or act aggressively - that is why I avoid teh Barclay totally
8. Donny races get crowds of 25,000 plus - football less than 10  and they have always played on Friday nights when there is a clash . I have no problem with it at all
9. if teh main reason to let huckerby go was financial ( as our highest paid player ) then why on earth would we be able to afford him further down the line . No one individual is bigger than my club , Huckerby was great for us , but he has gone - end of story
10. this game/club needs to be boycotted - as a protest against franchising !!! If you do go , buy nothing in or around the ground It has ahppened once it will happen again
11. Colchester friendly away 1972 - i was three First league match - Wolves - the goal post collapsed onto Kevin Keelan
12. Last night they appeared convinced Earnshaw was on his way , with confirmation of a stay at a hotel used by the club , therefore  etc etc As he has signed for Forest today , what will Archant be saying tonight
13. i will actually be at Carrow Road at 3.00 tomorrow - picking my son up froma  FITC course held on teh pitch I will wave if I see anyone     e
14. Accept it , He is no longer an NCFC player Our club is bigger than any player , always has been , always will be I was gutted when Watson was sold , we bounced back - gutted when fleck left as well We will be fine - Roeder is a good manager doing a far better job than the clown he replaced
15. There is no way that he deserves to have his shirt retired - he was here for 4 years - the number of games he was playing was dropping season by season , he was the highest paid player and as such when cuts are made you look at somebody who best days are probably behind him but who earns loads I think it is far better that he leaves as a hero now , rather than in a year or so as a diminished player I am never in favour of retiring shirt numbers for anyone , Goss had 1 good season out of 10 years at the club , Huckerby is not better than Peters , Crook etc - even Eadie was called up for England , Huckerby wasn''t
16. Sorry , but for £ 70 My kids would want more than some x Factor no marks  the greatest ever team is a great idea , but is so subjective - to me the 2nd div champ team of 85.86 played the best football I have ever seen at Carrow road , to others the 71 promtion team , others the 59 team - so how can you possible compare players from different eras , impossible - Bone , MacDougall , Drinkell , Fleck or Bly - I would say Drinkell or Fleck , but having not really seen teh others-  how do I know ? This could have been a superb event , incorporated into the opens day £ 5 entry and a gala dinner later , instead £ 25 and it will end up a farce
17.       Former Celtic midfielder Peter Grant has said his old club can reignite their title hopes with a win against Rangers on Wednesday. After Sunday''s 4-1 victory at Motherwell, Grant says a third SPL title is still possible, even though Celtic are in the "last-chance saloon". "If Celtic win it goes back to one point and that gives you something different to look at," said Grant. "The way things went on Sunday, it gives them a chance again." The former Scotland international, who spent 15 years at Parkhead, also feels the Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was receiving unfair criticism. Grant said the Celtic manager deserved credit after winning two titles in a row and reaching the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in the club''s history. "I think we should tipping our hat to him instead of criticising him," said Grant. "He deserves to survive, there''s no doubt about that. Unfortunately when you are at the Old Firm, there is no second place. "Whether you have 2,000 people at the game or 62,000 people, they expect you to win every game. "Now it''s a short-term fix, manager''s jobs unfortunately. You are not allowed to build anything." Grant also feels that Rangers'' fixture congestion has given Celtic some breathing space, but that the club will have to win all their remaining games. "I think Rangers'' success is helping Celtic a little bit because they are playing in cup ties," added Grant. "Even though there are games in hand, people always tell you points in the bag are more important. "It gives you that bit between the teeth again. It is last-chance saloon, no doubt about that. "But it was a great fillip knowing their strikers scored on Sunday."
18. It really bugs me how people go on about - I am a true supporter because ... and you are not because .....  , no I am because ...... People are on here because they are all supporters - I read once that for every person who regularly attends Carrow Road - there are at least another 4 who consider themselves as Supporters , but for reasons opf Family , finance etc can;t attend matches  If people post here then they are fans
19. reading the Sun today , they reviewed a programme that has just started on ITV4 called - the Big Match revisted - Sunday afternoons highlights show before Live matches etc , According to them the featured games were SPurs versus someone , and Man Utd vs the suffolk Mob . This game was played on the 25th anniversary of Munich and had no silence , no commeratitve kits , no wreaths just black armbands won by Man Utd only - I suppose they didn;t need to do an effort with 1 to 11 as the shirts already were I appreciate the 50 year anniversary is a big one , but if teh 25th was marked in as low key manner as that then why the big hullaballo over the 50th  It was funny on Radio Five to hear them say , they piper is playing Flowers of Manchester , lets listen to that - but all that could be heard was " blue Moon "
20. i thought of was a verb in Norfolk speak
21. This is hard   1 Fashanu - Vs Liverpool - I was 10 and never believed players did that 2 Rosario vs Hull - better than his Soton One 3 Watson vs Oldham - took us top of the league in Div 2 and we nebver looked back , got ball on halfway line , beat five men to score 4 Safri vs newcastle - i believed , i really did 5 Libbra vs  Man City - Oh how I laughed 6 Fleck  vs Port Vale FAC - Run and lob  7 Bruce Milk Cup semi - just the moment itself  8 Nedergaard vs Cov - 35 yarder - I turned to my daughter and said " what is he Do .... YEEESSSS " 9 O Neill vs Ipswich - last 2 minutes direct free kick - 3 -2 to us  10 Drinkell vs Liverpool - last minute 2 -1 filthy day , Liverpool never lose when Rush scores - want to bet on that ?
22. The sacking was NW was for me something that should have been done much sooner , to give him a close season and then sack him was ludicrous , I think he had lost the club , fans etc and we were drifting along , we would not have been in a better position at all I cannot uinderstand teh Anti Delia feelings - had she not brought chase out - they would be no club to support - give her a break , she genuinely cares and if she pulls out what happens then With the Squad Worthington had , we certainly would not be at teh top of the table - he played players constantly out of position
23.
At the time of the Chase Out campaign we found a willing, determined and bloody-minded leader in Roy Blower.  It has been alleged that he was motivated by a personal "difference of opinion" with Mr Chase which had nothing to do with football, and was looking to settle a score.  On that basis, unless he falls out with Delia I can''t see him stepping forward now.
Think back if you will to the hugely unpopular decison by Mr Chase to rebuild the Barclay and turn it all seater before the legislation kicked in , there were numerous loud protests by the people affected and Mr Chase deigned to see the " leaders "in his office to explain himself . I know several of teh people in this meeting and the representatives of the club were Mr Chase and Mr Roy Blower - who , when asked who he was and why he was there - said he was a fans representative reporting to MR Chase - Bit rich now if he currys favour on teh back of his support given that he was in bed with Chase at that time
24. I went to virtually every home match between 1975 and 1993 and a vast majority of away games , Looking back now I was a total anorak . In 1993 my then girlfriend ( now wife ) became pregnant , we moved into a flat and immediately priorites and financial commitments changed in a completely different direction and the one major economy I could make was to curtail my football - It was one of the hardest things I have ever done and Was probably like giving up smoking ( had I ever started ) I have been to a handful of games since , My daughter and son are mad keen NCFC fans and regularly attend Reserve games - however for a normal first team game we are looking at somewhere around £ 50 for the three of us , I cannot justify that outlay at all and although we would love season tickets , again the price for us three is prohibitive  However , at 2.00 every saturday , we put the radio on and it stays on until 6 - we do the same for midweek matches , we read the EEN and EDP as well as the various websites every day and our interest has never waned at all , We have opinions on players and situations based on a variety of sources ,We purchase merchandise regularly , my son attends the FITC courses    I live in Norwich , I have supported Norwich for 35 years and still consider myself a fan - if my financial situation changed at all , we would purchase season tikets at a stroke - I heard it said that for every person that attends Carrow road , there are another four who consider themselves fans Football going is a habit , but it is a habit you can kick for other things - you never lose the passion r
25. so my memeory isn;t that bad - nearly right !!!
