  1. It makes you wonder why so many of the team have picked up injuries so early on this season...?
  2. 1 - Boro 2 - Fulham 3 -Wolves 4 - Aston Villa 5 - Norwich 6 - Brentford Boro should walk the league, while Fulham still have all their star players who, with a season under their belts, should push for the other automatic promotion spot. Brentford to be the obligatory ''surprise'' side in the top six. Think they''ve got a good core and bought well this summer.
  3. Doesn''t sound like much, if any, of the transfer fee will be given to Farke to bring players in. Most likely to be used to fill the gap - roughly £5m - in the clubs'' finances. Importantly, Howson and Dorrans''s departure does free up a huge part of the wage bill, which will prove vital in enticing new arrivals to Norwich.
  4. Has done well the last couple of seasons and almost single-handedly dragged Ipswich into the play-offs. Saying that, I can''t see him coming here. He doesn''t fit the Farke philosophy and, as said before, would be a huge outlay for a 34-year-old.
  5. Easy there, dibbler. Palace don''t currently have a manager and are unlikely to buy anyone before they appoint Allardyce''s successor. That story also states there are four teams watching him. In truth, the article comes across as info from an agent who''s trying to increase interest in his client. Webber said every player has a price when he arrived, but I''d hazard a guess Jacob''s is higher than £7m.
  6. Tammy will be sent out again, but it''ll be to a Premier League side. Newcastle are currently favourites to sign him. But Ike Ugbo, also at Chelsea, may be worth a loan, if we''re going to go down that route and he fits into the kind of forward Farke is after. I''d also see if Chelsea were willing to sell Michael Hector.
  7. Not a chance someone is going to pay a fee for Jarvis and agree to the wages he''s currently on. As said above, best we can do is try and sort a deal out with the player to let him go. Otherwise we need to ensure he''s back to his best physically and find a way to use him next season.
  8. Don''t think Fulham will be too much of a worry next season as their young team are likely to be picked apart from Prem clubs. Slavic Jokanović would make an interesting head coach candidate for us, though.
  9. Harsh to say Silva''s the reason for Hull''s relegation. They were bottom on 13 points after 20 matches when he came in. He''s helped them to 21 points in the 17 matches since. Pick points up at that rate across the whole season and Hull would currently be on 45 points and well away from relegation. Just think if he''d had a summer to prepare the team too. Either way, can''t see any situation in which he''ll be in charge of Norwich us next season.
  10. Solanke won''t be dropping down to the Championship. He''s aiming for a club with European football. And Charlie Taylor has a host of PL teams queuing up to sign him. If we could talk Jason Lowe into leaving the north and moving to Norwich, I''d be quite happy. But otherwise, there''s no-one on that list I''d be too keen to see us sign.
  11. Thanks, KG. This covers it: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/every-premier-league-club-wants-5756658
  12. BroadstarisR, do you have a link to that change in redistribution of parachute payments from promoted teams? I thought the only adjustments to parachute payments recently concerned shortening the period they are given (from 4 years to 3), and that if you are in the Prem for a single season, like us, you only get two years worth of payments.
  13. It''s been a terrible few seasons for Matt, and I hope he makes a full recovery and can finish his career well. But from a Norwich perspective it was a dreadful signing. He was injured at the time, had suffered from injuries in the three seasons before, and has taken up a lot of finances that could''ve been used on other players
  14. He was offered a two-year deal earlier this season, but hadn''t made a decision on it at the time, and that''s the line he continued to use with reporters until after yesterday''s match. Now he says he knows what he''s going to do and I wouldn''t be surprised if it turns out he''s staying for another season.
  15. True you didn''t specifically say results, KG, but you were responding to what improved Leicester''s results. You also said it makes a top manager, and was makes a top manager if not getting positive results?
  16. Why would ''not pandering to the media'' help results? And if so, why had it not worked for Pearson until the last 10 matches of the season? Either way, I wouldn''t be surprised if he gets the Boro job.
  17. Rowett would be my preferred choice out of the names doing the rounds. Although, I wouldn''t mind getting the Cowley brothers in from Lincoln.
  18. Could also be different transfer needs at different times in the window, Indy Bones. Forest might have missed out on their other defensive targets and are now turning to Bennett, or Bennett has only recently been touted around by Norwich/his agent, or, as you say, they aren''t interested in Bennett/we weren''t interested in Lansbury. Either way, I don''t think we should sell Bennett unless we''ve got a replacement for him.
  19. The update comes from the Portuguese sports newspaper Abola, who reckon he''ll cost us €3.5m with another €1.5m in bonuses. He''s said to be arriving today for a medical, and is expected to earn around €1m a year.
  20. Dr Greenthumb, can you give us a link to the BBC''s story on Sako please? Would be a strange target, not just because of his recent performances, or lack thereof, but he''s out at AFCON and won''t be able to play for us until the last game of the month, at the earliest. He could, if Mali reach the final, miss 3 or 4 Norwich games.
  21. A vaid point, Ray, and huge oversight on my behalf. New version... Passing accuracy (total short passes): Klose: (624) 85.4% Bennett: (567) 85.4% Martin: (363) 82% Bassong: (229) 80% Then long ball passes (accurate/inaccurate): Martin: (66/62) 52% Klose: (71/83) 46.1% Bennett: (50/92) 35.2% Bassong: (15/33) 31.3% Overall: Klose: 78% Bennett: 75.3% Martin: 74% Bassong: 71.1%
