  1. Minor annoyance here, but whenever they cut to the pitchside camera by the Norwich right back area, I swear that camera is a second or so slow.
  2. I still maintain that it's something ingrained in football culture that the ref is always crap and quite regularly biased against your team, no matter what happens out there on the pitch. If you look back over the last couple of seasons, I'm sure that the majority of our games have been followed a 'the ref was useless today' thread later in the evening.
  3. Not taking anything away from Rupp, Gilmour or Rashica, but my man of the match hasn't even got a mention so far in this thread. I'd have gone for Williams, personally.
  4. I didn't agree with everything be gave, but he was no worse than any other Premier League ref. It's just part of football culture to criticise the ref regardless of how the game goes, especially if the ref once made a bad decision against your team.
  5. Sprints in tennis matches are about 5m, in football they can easily be ten times that.
  6. Liverpool to beat Southampton at 1/4 seems a banker. For our game, my tip of Norwich and BTTS came in last week so I'll go for the same again. 6/1 isn't a bad price.
  7. Agree. It's the main part but the simplified version just looks a bit cheap.
  8. Really disappointed with it. It just looks like someone attempted to draw the original one on Paint and made a bang average job of it. The only thing that looks better is the lion. The castle, canary and lack of a border are all worse.
  9. Most clubs which have changed their crest in recent years have done so because theirs looked outdated. I really don't think ours does, even considering it's 50 years old now. I'll reserve judgement though until we see the new one in ten minutes or so though.
  10. I'm not sure whose goal that went down as in the end (Pukki's, I think) but that should have been an own goal all day long. Rudd saved the header by tipping it onto the post, and then he bundled the ball into his own net after it bounced back towards him.
  11. At least until Man City play tomorrow, we can actually lay claim to the fact that we're the only side in the Premier League to have won their last two matches.
  12. From the bench. It's generally better to ease someone back in gently against tired legs for a the first game or two.
  13. I said when we signed him that he reminds me of Dirk Kuyt, and whilst Sargent is clearly not as good as Kuyt, I still feel that's a decent comparison, despite a certain someone mocking me for it.
  14. Southampton played well in the first half but still lost the game. If 'winning when you don't play well' is the sign of a successful team, losing when you play well (for one half) doesn't bode well.
  15. It would be tough to drop either of them after today, but then again, it was harsh to drop Omobamidele after Brentford. I think Kabak may be the one who finds himself on the sidelines for the immediate future.
  16. A couple of hairy moments in possession when he gave it away in dangerous areas, but the defensive side of his game was excellent, aside from maybe the Southampton goal. He made several crucial blocks and interceptions.
  17. More confidence and belief. I can't see any tactical rabbits being pulled out of the hat, but I'm sure there'll be more of a spring in the step courtesy of the 'new manager bounce'.
  18. Borussia Dortmund are 1/3 to beat struggling Stuttgart at home, so that's my tip. I fancy more confident, attacking football from us against Southampton so I'll go for Norwich and BTTS at 11/2.
  19. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/antonio-conte-bans-ketchup-in-tottenham-hotspur-canteen-26s5cvtmx
  20. International weekend is always tough, so I'll go for the safe choice of Germany to beat Armenia at 1/12.
  21. To be honest, none of the three options strike me as amazing and none of them are ones I'd want to avoid. It's very much a toss-up for me; they're three wildly varying candidates in terms of background and each have their own pros and cons which more or less cancel each other out.
  22. Yeah, this. I think the media have been relatively consistent; it was announced on Monday that two names were on the shortlist and I'm guessing Smith's sudden availability and keenness made it three. Talks have taken place with both Lampard and Smith, but Knutsen is proving trickier. Who knows, maybe someone has been offered the job, possibly accepted it even, or possibly we're just waiting to see what's happening with Knutsen.
