  1. Atalanta's form has been indifferent for several months, and even though they're still fighting for Europe, Milan are playing for so much more. Home win at 3/4. I'll be back for the match picks on Saturday evening. Thanks for the suggestions so far, and keep them coming!
  2. That was a bit harsh, in my opinion. He was excellent in our relegation season, probably the only one who was, and deserved a move to a Championship club.
  3. To be fair, in addition to the obvious, Clingan was excellent that season and Lita did well too. Stefanovic looked solid as well until he got injured. The others though 😳 Dear god...
  4. I've gone for Hanley. His performances were crucial in most of our victories and he did well to keep the score down in several other matches.
  5. I remember a game from 2006/07 at home to Sunderland where Dion Dublin played centre back and put in one of the best performances you'll see from a defender. Sunderland were one of the strongest sides in the league that season and I think they went up, but we won 1-0 despite a second half onslaught. Also, from a similar era, Dean Ashton's hat trick against Southampton just before he left us was a phenomenal performance.
  6. Maybe not, I'm up next week (I think) and I've had two goes at this and won zero as well...
  7. Surely that must be a hack? Otherwise, that's him back at Carrington tomorrow.
  8. West Ham spent £30m on him last summer and he's in the peak of his career. Football has no morals where money is involved. Had he been a backup player in his early-mid thirties, he would've been sacked.
  9. Paul Warne may be a Norwich fan, but I can't see him ever being anything more than a solid lower league manager. I'm apathetic towards Smith; if he decides to walk then I wouldn't try to stop him, but I wouldn't sack him.
  10. Same answer as I've given for every match since mid-March. 'No, I'm not. If I had a season ticket, I'd go, and if it were on TV, I'd watch, but I don't really have the desire to spend £40+ on a ticket for a game that has the importance and feel of a pre-season friendly.'
  11. I'm too late for the six, but I would've gone for Arsenal, which has been picked anyway. In our game, West Ham may be tired mentally and physically from last night, so Norwich to score first at 7/4.
  12. Also worth a watch for those who like taking the pee out of a certain Mr Trump...
  13. Nah, upper. When you're too low behind the goal, it's tough to know if the ball is 20 yards from goal or 50 when it's at the other end.
  14. Cheers, but I went into the Fan Hub on Sunday and they answered all my questions; I think at the time there were limited numbers of pairs in pretty much all areas. Ended up getting a pair on Tuesday in the River End.
  15. On the one hand, Bournemouth deserved it as they were clearly the better side in the second half, but on the other, Forest must feel very aggrieved about the non-penalty in the first half.
  16. On a similar note, I saw a bit of Vale-Newport in League Two yesterday and Finn Azaz was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. 21-years-old, voted League Two Young Player of the Year, and interestingly, on loan from Aston Villa so Smith must know him well. It's probably too big a jump right now, but could be worth a punt if he's available at a good price (and possibly loaned out to a League One or lower Championship team).
  17. After every Norwich game, there's always a thread on here bashing the ref's performance and I'm usually one of the first to defend them, but the officials have got several biggish decisions wrong tonight, with the non-award of the Forest penalty being the biggest.
  18. Forest's kit really is an absolute shocker. I know our away shirts in 2015-16 and 2016-17 received some stick, but this is on another level. Still hope Forest win though.
  19. Apparently Knutsen is a leading contender for the Burnley job, for anyone interested...
  20. Exactly; not stopping the kid running on the pitch is a slap on the wrists, encouraging him is probably a short ban and the 'abusive and threatening behaviour' on top of it makes me think the club are better off without him. Sends a good message to the kid as well: don't be a **** or you'll face the consequences.
  21. Interesting that Jones was named Manager of the Season last week at the EFL awards; they're not in the Playoffs yet and it may well prove to be the kiss of death...
  22. He does own Nice, and considering that two clubs with the same ownership can't compete in the same competition, it seemed curious that he was launching a bid for Chelsea as it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could end up in the same European competition. Unless of course he is/was planning to relinquish control of Nice or use some loophole like Red Bull.
  23. One quote that I found very interesting that I don't think has been picked up on is this one: 'There was a feeling Farke did not believe he had a good enough group to stay up, and that the players subconsciously knew that.' In short, Farke knew that the recruitment last summer wasn't good enough.
