I remember a game from 2006/07 at home to Sunderland where Dion Dublin played centre back and put in one of the best performances you'll see from a defender. Sunderland were one of the strongest sides in the league that season and I think they went up, but we won 1-0 despite a second half onslaught. Also, from a similar era, Dean Ashton's hat trick against Southampton just before he left us was a phenomenal performance.

West Ham spent £30m on him last summer and he's in the peak of his career. Football has no morals where money is involved. Had he been a backup player in his early-mid thirties, he would've been sacked. -

Nah, upper. When you're too low behind the goal, it's tough to know if the ball is 20 yards from goal or 50 when it's at the other end. -

Cheers, but I went into the Fan Hub on Sunday and they answered all my questions; I think at the time there were limited numbers of pairs in pretty much all areas. Ended up getting a pair on Tuesday in the River End. -
On a similar note, I saw a bit of Vale-Newport in League Two yesterday and Finn Azaz was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. 21-years-old, voted League Two Young Player of the Year, and interestingly, on loan from Aston Villa so Smith must know him well. It's probably too big a jump right now, but could be worth a punt if he's available at a good price (and possibly loaned out to a League One or lower Championship team).

Exactly; not stopping the kid running on the pitch is a slap on the wrists, encouraging him is probably a short ban and the 'abusive and threatening behaviour' on top of it makes me think the club are better off without him. Sends a good message to the kid as well: don't be a **** or you'll face the consequences.

He does own Nice, and considering that two clubs with the same ownership can't compete in the same competition, it seemed curious that he was launching a bid for Chelsea as it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could end up in the same European competition. Unless of course he is/was planning to relinquish control of Nice or use some loophole like Red Bull.
