1.
McCormack £11m
Ross McCormack is 28 next week and is pretty much at his peak. It''s a lot of money to pay for someone whose never played in the Premiership, and probably never will. Leeds played a blinder in getting that much for him.I can see that one ending badly as Felix Magath publicly criticised his lack of fitness last week.
 2.
1. Didn''t back Martin Olsson over sending off. Martin Olsson recieved two bookings for holding back players who would''ve gone on and scored. He took two for the team, Adams just said that the red cost us the game and that he''d speak to him. That would really annoy me if I was Martin. 2. Froze out Pilkington and then sold him for chump change to our rivals. 1m is derisory for a premier league starter who scored goals at that level, one of our best players and he''s been forced out for reasons that don''t appear to be anything other than a personality clash. Fair enough if Adams doesn''t like him but we should have got more than 1m and it doesn''t make sense to sell him to our rivals either. 3. Lied about RVW Told everyone that he wanted Ricky to stay, that was clearly a lie. Has frustrated supporters and created mistrust. 4. Dithered in the transfer market Has bought players to fill an an area that was the least in need of strengthening and doesn''t appear to be doing anything about areas that are in the greatest need of strengthening. 5. Plays Nathan Redmond out of position Some people on here don''t like Redmond but he is very highly regarded by the England set up and a number of premier league clubs. He is a winger and he is one of the best in the country at his age, he is not a striker. It is also amazing to me that a manager would sign two strikers in the summer with Becchio, RVW and Hooper still there and THEN play a midfielder up front. Some of these errors are bigger than others but these reasons demonstrate why you don''t hire radio commentators as managers.
1. Martin Olsson has been charged by the FA for assaulting a referee. You expect Adams to defend him? 2. Juries out on the Pilkington decsion for me. But even if he''s great for Cradiff, I don''t believe anyone could have kept him in Norfolk. 3. It''s called professionalism. RVW may have only scored one goal, and maybe it''s best he moves on. But RVW seems like a decent guy who has tried hard and it''s not through lack of effort. 4. We''ve hardly sold anybody, and our squad was fairly full to begin with
 3.
http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/2014/08/14/a-pilks-departure-has-been-inevitable-for-some-time-with-solskjaers-cardiff-taking-the-gamble/#ncfc This guy has been primed by Joe Ferrari or McNally or someone at the club, talk about trotting out the party line, poor journalism
Is it what it is. But I thought it was common knowledge that Pilkington wanted to move back to the North West?
 4.
(2) RVW was clearly in the plans for the season, he was not frozen out like others and when injured was put on intensive rehab (if he was frozen out why bother, let St Etienne deal with his fitness). RVW would not be the first (Iwan Roberts) to make a slow start, in the bigger picture a modest return now as opposed to the potential gain from promotion either won or lost (6m as opposed to a gain of ?millions or even worse some cash today but lose ?millions 12mths down the line.
Iwan was different. I believe he stated in his autobiography that he was living in a hotel for the first season, and his weight ballooned from the rich food. When his family moved down here, he was able to get back on track.
 5. I doubt it''s just a number. Bassong was clearly moved from the number 5 shirt to indicate he''s closer to the door.Alo Ricky''s twitter is https://twitter.com/RvWolfswinkel9 I doubt the 9 was a random number
 6. Since we can get loan players outside of the transfer windows in the Championship, and have the Murphys, Loza etc coming through, then 2 players in every position would definitely be excessive.
 7.
Thought he,the chairman, was in prison. Hay ho got that wrong.
His father Owen Oyston served a jail sentence of 3.5 years.
 8. I refuse to believe the club is so indecisive that they forced the years extension to Pilkington''s contract, only to freeze him out.
 9. I think there''s a lot we don''t know about behind the scenes. I can fully understand why a guy who left a top5 club to come to us purely because he respected Chris Hughton was annoyed when we appointed an inexperienced caretaker.Mick Dennis made it clearly that the club had been impressed by the way Neil Adams had handled two undisclosed breaches of discipline. I seriously wouldn''t have been surprised if Bassong one of them. Nice guy, but way too laidback at times.
 10. I feel sorry for Cook. There''s been a definite lack of English talent in the last couple of years and there''s a massive rebuliding project to undertake. Strauss, Pietersen, Trott and Swann have all gone, and I''d even argue they never properly replaced Collingwood. Moores has opted for a highly inexperienced batting top 6, preferring to bring in new boys Robson, Ali, Ballance. Joe Root whilst talented is still very raw. I have utterly no idea how the invisible man Ian Bell always escapes criticism as he never seems to post a big score when it''s really needed. If you get rid of Cook who is there? Bell just cowers in the corner. Prior might struggle to combine wicket keeping and captaincy. Broad isn''t consistent as an allrounder, so I doubt he can absorb more responsibility without suffering further. After 11 years of test match bowling I doubt Jimmy Anderson can be a strike bowler much longer.
 11. I thought historically, the local games against the likes of Kings Lynn, Lowestoft etc were for the players to get 45 minutes, but mainly to give some of the youngsters a runout as well.
 12. At this point, £40 million for David Luiz is looking like the con of the century
 13.

That conversation in full "We''d like to sign you, but even if RVW, Hooper and Becchio leave, you''ll be the third choice striker"
There is no way anyone trying to sign a striker would tell them they would be 2nd or 3rd choice. Especially when we are serious enough to offer such a large sum. We wanted this kid, we tried to get him but he preferred to go to Bournemouth.
...and his shirt number would have been? Not 9 or 7, and 11 is currently filled.
 14. That conversation in full "We''d like to sign you, but even if RVW, Hooper and Becchio leave, you''ll be the third choice striker"
 15. I don''t think it''s much different to the real world. You advertise to see what kind of candidate you attract, and even after you interview, sometimes you realise that the internal candidate would be the best for the job.
 16.
"4, Do we want anyone at the club called Troy?"   The only other famous Troy I can think of is Troy McClure.
Troy Tempest!    ....anything can happen in the next half hour
 17. We have the option to extend the contracts of Turner, Pilkington and Tettey for a further year. I would expect that we''ve used that option since there''s been nothing to the contrary.
 18. I don''t understand the hate. A big physical centre-forward is essential and since he''s played on the continent, I bet his technic is pretty good.
 19. ...and I thought getting Spain in the sweepstake was a good thing
 20.
W Brom are the best performing club of recent times given their financial resources so it seems that the clubs management may know more than punters who just tend to go for high profile names without performing any due diligence on the candidates.
Debatable. They were a yo-yo club for years before Roy Hodgson came along. Steve Clarke had a great first season and they''ve been sliding down every since. But really I think most of their success was off the back of firstly Odenwengie, and then Lukaku. I''d struggle to name any of their players, and they don''t seem to have signed anyone decent last season either.
 21.
Can someone in the ground shoot phil neville for me.
Any particular reason or just because he''s Phil Neville? :P
 22. As has been said already, with Villa signing Joe Cole, I can''t see them wanting another 32 year old midget :P
 23.
Are there rules on this forum which dictate the subject matter, or indeed the frequency at which subjects may or may not appear? I would have said that threads are subject to a natural selection process. The ones that repeat a subject will fail to attract replies and fast fall down the list and into oblivion, thereby not troubling those who may be annoyed by their existence.
Well, issue 1 would be the vague clickbait title "The anouncement". I thought it was going to be an inside scoop of the Technical Director ;)...and as everyone''s mentioned issue 2 would be that we don''t need yet another new thread on Neil Adams
