Who did the pundits blame, RM or others?
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to Ray's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
More drivel from Ray. No one is laying into Martin on a personal level. They are rightly laying into him for his peformances on the pitch. It''s irrelevant that you ''know him personally''. It''s irrelevant ''that he bleeds NCFC''. It''s irrelevant ''that he gives 100%''. I know many people personally who bleed NCFC, and would give 100% if you put a shirt on them and sent them out for a match. But they wouldn''t be up to it, and neither is Martin. Off the pitch he is a fantastic representative for the club, he comes across a decent, well spoken guy. But on the pitch he is a constant defensive liability, and for a captain has zero leadership qualities. -
On the Pitch?
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to Branston Pickle's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Posted this elsewhere but as i''m sure everyone will agree well worth copying and pasting for your reading pleasure once again. There will be no pitch invasion that''s for sure. If you think otherwise you clearly haven''t been following very long. The Norfolk type who infiltrate the stands at Carrow Road are far too timid and reserved to dare even contemplate such an act. I imagine anyone who enters the pitch will be booed off and labelled hooligans by the NFN''S. I also imagine, if we do emerge victorious, almost every neutral across the country will be shaking their heads in disbelief that a set of supporters whose team has just reached Wembley by beating their fiercest rivals are celebrating by politely clapping and waving scarfs in their alloted seats. Still I await the inevitable comments (excuses) on how pitch invasions are ''tinpot'' or better yet ''ruin the pitch''/ ''we might get banning order''s'' etc. -

Not feeling confident
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to Dean Coneys boots's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Can''t see us winning the playoffs. Like others have said our players tend to choke when it really counts. Got a feeling this is Derby''s year. Their team is filled with quality and the way they have come back in the last couple of games and gained valuable points to me suggests destiny may finally be on their side after narrowly missing out the last few seasons. Why people want to avoid Ipswich i have no idea. They have the worst squad in the top 8, McCarthy is peforming miracles but we would beat them comfortably over two legs. -
Got a feeling this is gonna be Derby''s year. Really hoping to avoid them in a two legged semi. People banging on about avoiding Ipswich but for me they have the worst starting 11 in the top 8, Mcarthy is working miracles there but we will batter them over two legs.

Bournemouth/Watford
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to kick it off's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Bournemouth and Watford have been the best two footballing teams all season so can''t complain if they are the two to go up automatically. Boro have been the most efficient but i fancy Derby in the playoffs. I just pray we draw Ipswich or Brentford cos if it''s anyone else i think we''re out. Though even if we reached the final i think we would choke. -
Bournemouth/Watford

Jesus, it''s as if nobody here has been paying attention all season. We blew it last night. Automatics are gone. Accept it''s the play off''s and don''t get your hopes up cos it''s highly unlikely we''ll be going up. Our players just don''t have the mentality to get the job done. -
Playoffs it is now then!
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to Tetteys Jig's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Got no confidence in us going up via the playoffs. I''d strongly fancy us over two legs against Ipswich or Brentford. But can''t see us getting past Boro/Watford, Derby or Wolves. I also think we''ll be up against it in terms of support, you can guarantee the atmosphere will rocking at whatever ground we have to visit in the away leg. Will we be able to say the same in the home leg at Carrow Road? Highly unlikely given the place is a bumpkin infested morgue for even the biggest of games. -
When we needed to step up to the plate we were found desperately wanting. In fairness there was next to no backing from the stands in the biggest game of the season which is a disgrace. Credit to Boro also, that was a perfect performance from them. Completely disagree with Darren Eadie, the automatics are now dead and buried for us. And i just can''t see us getting through the playoffs, particularly as one of the legs will be played at the morgue that is Carrow Road. We had our chance, we blew it. But in fairness Bournemouth and Watford have been by far the best footballing sides this season. And Boro have been the most efficient. So another season in the Championship looms i fear.

Match thread
Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . replied to Making Plans's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Dominating play and creating absolutely nothing. This has a Boro counter attack and 2-0 written all over it. Not good enough.
