  1. You should be here. It's utter tripe. This is Malta ranked 171 in the world but Southgate still treats them as though they're Argentina.
  2. Coffey has many of the features of a pig so with Cameron back in the Caninet perhaps they couldn't take the risk.
  3. I would expect Knapper to have seen all our games since he was appointed either on TV or videos or whatever. He might even have attended a few away games without being recognised as his face us not well-known amongst the City away faithful. Therefore, I would hope he can pretty much hit the ground running tomorrow in terms of knowing the capabilities (or lack of) in the squad and having a good idea of a style of play he wants to adopt.
  4. But the over-riding consideration of Smith and Jones was to keep darling Stu here for as long as possible and the nonsensical idea of needing a handover period with Knapper was the best they could come up with.
  5. Delia adores Webber and will keep him here as long as she is able to despite the increasing damage he causes for every day he is here. For me the fact that the owners worship Webber, begged him to stay when he said he was leaving and have protracted his departure for as long as possible is the most damaging aspect of all. How can two people with such appalling judgement of an individual and his shortcomings be trusted to run the club?
  6. As Potter turned down Leicester a few months ago with the talent they have available he won't be coming to a club in decline in the lower regions of the Championship with very limited talent available.
  7. Delia absolutely adores Webber and I suspect will keep him here as long as she possibly can. Clearly no-one else wants him or he would have moved on already. My recurring nightmare is that she'll find him a nothing job at the club a la Neil Adams.
  8. That's exactly my position. Enough is enough. I'm slightly older than you and it's heartbreaking. And my eleven year-old grandson who's been to quite a few games has already given up. Do I blame him? No I don't. That's one potential lifelong supporter lost. Well done NCFC.
  9. For the first time for many many years I'm ashamed to say that I now feel absolutely no connection with the Club whatsoever and I gave been through thick and thin with them since 1962. The whole club stinks right now.
  10. Jack Wilshere. Performing miracles with the Arsenal youngsters. If only we had a link into Arsenal.
  11. Sargent was out and about last week but on crutches so he won't be featuring any time soon.
  12. How many cars were damaged or destroyed at Luton Airport earlier in the week? The repairs and replacements all have to be paid for - ultimately by all motorists.
  13. About a month ago I saw somewhere a list of Conservative MPs who won't be standing at the next General Election. The list was published as the number had reached 50 so Grayling is number 51 at least.
  14. Having so narrowly missed out on promotion to the National League last season a significant number of their better players decided they could do better than another season in National League North and moved on.
  15. Nick Cox was rumoured to be one of the final two candidates a few weeks ago along with former City player, NFL kicker or whatever they're called, and latterly CEO of Bristol City until his sudden resignation, Phil Akexander.
  16. They don't make money from 20 mph limits in Norfolk or at least not where we live as it's not their policy to enforce it apart from via the occasional visit from the local Speedwatch group who have no legal powers anyway. Ironically we'd probably be better off upping the limit here to 30 mph as less than 10% of motorists at a guess observe the 20 mph limit anyway. If the limit was upped to 30 mph which the police do enforce they'd soon have sufficient funds to pay for a policeman's ball - and probably enough for both of them.
  17. It's a quirk of my advancing years that I can remember trivia from forty or fifty years ago but ask me what I was doing last Tuesday and I probably won't have a clue.
  18. Wasn't be the guy who went to America where he became a specialist goal kicker in the NFL?
  19. Jordan Henderson is an interesting case. He's been the front man for Liverpool on their LGBT campaign and been quite vocal on the subject. Wonder if he's aware of the Saudi Arabian view on the topic.
  20. Huw Edwards's wife names him as BBC presenter at centre of scandal https://f7td5.app.goo.gl/dLbt1n Sent via @updayUK
  21. Politicalite have gone public with a name.
  22. GN isn't employed by the Beeb. His show is produced via another company.
  23. I read somewhere that one of the big six clubs, might be Arsenal, now actively recruit young athletes into their set--up as opposed to recruit young footballers on the grounds that it's easier to coach good athletes to be good footballers than it is the other way round. Presumably this recognises the increasingly important role that athleticism plays in the modern game.
